Beware - hotel is closed for renovations until at least September! What's even worse is that neither the hotel nor Marriott took any steps to inform guests that this was the case. Not to mention that there is absolutely nothing on their website to indicate this, apart from the fact that rooms are unavailable. I don't know what it is about NYC hotels but this seems to be a huge problem.

We regret to sent our family to this place. They owe me money and they keep lying to my bank. But i have the suprises for them . I'm waiting for booked room on December 19 ,2020 but we got there at 1:30 am December 20,2020 and checked out same the for not providing towels and room cleaning. They had no towels or house keepers due to Corona virus, terrible excuses but they agreed to refund my money of $300.18 instead of $420 yet no money refunded.

Thinking it was nice judging by the photos online but the sheets were stained pillows were so flat in both rooms I was switched the first one wasn’t even cleaned nothing but filth second one was decent but they need to remodel and update its definitely not a suite more like a studio — one elevator works which takes a bit to get to you no breakfast due to COVID I’m assuming location isn’t too bad the towels were thin they don’t have hand towels only bath or wash cloths even with that there’s hair in the towels so your better off going elsewhere I’m not even sure if they sanitize the rooms since every other hotel has a note and 2-3 sanitizing wipes on the table before the guest touches anything this hotel doesn’t do none of that I slept with my coat on the bed and my hoodie as my pillow. Out of all my travels and hotel stay this is the WORST.

I would never stay here again! It was filthy. My room had no hand towels or wash cloths and one bath towel for 2 people. When I asked for towels I was told they had no more. Seriously? The bed linens were horribly stained. The handle on our door was about to fall off. No other customers had masks on and were not asked to put them on. I had driven 12 hours and had to get up early and drive 12 hours again. I just wanted a shower and a clean bed. I slept on top of the bed, in my clothes with my coat as a cover. This should not be a Marriott property. I stay exclusively at Marriott properties because I can usually count on high quality. Definitely missed the mark here.

Breakfast was very ordinary, rooms were decent but small, parking was crazy expensive but not available as they have very limited spots so had to park on the street which didn't feel safe at all but luckily nothing happened to my rental. Area didn't feel safe so was very careful at nights. Front desk was always missing so had to wait for 10-15 mins before someone will come to help us.

We stayed here for 4 nights in January. Our room was clean and fairly modern. The breakfast was nice however there wasn’t many healthy options. The location is good, just few minutes walk from the subway station. Definitely would stay again.

after numerous calls to ensure we had still got a holiday we were reassured that the holiday was paid for but we were to be moved the Fairfield Inns. The first impression was the staff were very friendly and willing to help but mainly after a 9 or 10 out of 10 reviews.! you are asked to give a card over the reception which I did with my revolut card which i was informed didnt work! I then gave my normal bank card which they then proceeded to try and make a payment for the rooms that I had prepaid. After giving evidence of this and an investigation I was told not to worry and it was sorted! I was assured by Booking .com that our room was a top 15th floor with a view of manhattan. The reality was a 7th-floor disabled access room with a rear view of a building site.mmmm not good! the hallway also smelt of weed during our stay. On a positive, the breakfast was really good and the areas of the hotel were cleaned constantly. I witnessed a young Russian couple sat at the bar and the barman was being friendly until asking them to give at least 15%tip and then it became a little awkward as the couple were then made to give another payment to their room! They did let us store our luggage on leaving till the end of the day at no extra charge which was good and also access to the subway is fantastic as it's only a 2 min walk away. On returning home I have now found out the hotel had taken payment for the rooms TWICE as well as the payment from Booking.com and after calling them and emailing the manager Vanessa with all the details and invoice copies, I have had no text , call or email now for over a week to apologise or reimburse especially as they made me go into my overdraft with charges on top

Having originally booked another hotel in Queens, we found ourselves moved to the Fairfield unexpectedly hours before traveling as the hotel we booked had closed for refurbishment. It was unfortunately very noisy due to being so close to the subway and we only managed to sleep at night after purchasing ear plugs!!! Apart from this problem every thing else about the hotel was really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the staff on reception. breakfast was basic but cooked well and free which saved on money. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a lovely large bed. Bathrooms had hot showers, and fluffy towels. To sum up apart from the subway noise we had a lovely stay at the Fairfield Inn and enjoyed our week in New York thank you very much!
