It was a quiet stay at the hotel. It is adequate for staying a few nights. The location is Good though not in central manhattan, it is close to many restaurants and shops, at a few minutes walking distance. The connection to NY downtown is just 10 minutes away (the nearest station is broadway for metro line W or N).

Good for quick stop over. Good location with easy access to Manhattan, NY. On Public transit routes. Rates are fair for the location and amenities of the property. Free parking is a huge plus anywhere in New York City.

I'm glad I ignored the real negative reviews.

Positive- Free parking, Air conditioning good. Very cold if you want. Room clean.
Small fridge. Bathroom clean.

Negative- Luggage needs to be carried up steps. TV does not get a lot of channels.

Aside from this motel being unclean, the staff was incredibly disrespectful to us. We had booked the room because we were working on a small film shoot for Pride month nearby and needed a place to escape the extreme heat of the weekend. We kept ourselves quiet, respectful and kept it to two people in the room at a time. I don't know what set the front desk staff off - whether it was the fact that a group of people showed up at once, or that everyone was dressed for Pride (again, we were doing a Pride film shoot), but right from the get go they were nasty and untrusting when all we were there to do was get ready for work. I would hate to think that it had anything to do with the fact that we were a bunch of people celebrating Pride, but unfortunately that's what it seems to have been. We even asked if it would be more helpful to book and pay for a second room so we could reduce any crowding in the lobby, but they wanted nothing to do with that. As we checked out, someone came in to ask for a day room and they were more than happy to accommodate that person.

A very disappointing and offensive experience.

Check-in was easy. My room had a dirty toilet that I had to clean myself to safely use. My bathroom was stocked with 4 used lotion bottles which was disgusting. The lady at checkout was unpleasant and borderline rude. The NY subway was an easy 10 min walk and there were plenty of food options in the neighborhood. I loved the free parking and liked the area. Housekeeping needs a revamp in quality.

On the plus side, they have a parking lot. On the minus side, the room was small, the paint was poorly applied and peeling, the faucet sprayed all over when turned on more than about 1/4, the included breakfast was a worthless disappointment, i.e., only yogurt and a power bar, and it took convincing to get the manager (desk clerk?) to provide coffee to go with the coffee machine (he kept insisting that there would be coffee in the lobby in the morning, as if that would replace the option to have a cup in the evening).

The washroom toilet bowl had urine stains and upon complaining, it wasn't cleaned. The rooms were tiny & you could hear the voices from other rooms. All they have for breakfast is Granola bar, Flavoured yogurt & coffee. Is that called breakfast even?

Room was Extremely dirty & the air was polluted with chemicals. I started coughing shortly after checking in. My skin was bitten by bugs and I suffered from rashes for days after. Only stayed there for one night out of desperation as my flight was cancelled and there was no other choice close to the airport. The experience will haunt me for a very long time. Just horrible!!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. The place definitely needs to be upgraded. The workers live in the hotel and keep their doors open so it's obvious. . It's way too high for the room. The bedding is so out dated and it felt itchy. Didn't get any sleep on those hard mattresses

Yes parking is limited but always available if you get there early. If not, theres parking on the street around the property. Walking to the subway is a 15-20min walk or if you choose to take the bus to the subway is about a 5-10min bus ride. Call the property about early check in policy.

Is this area in Astoria queens
Answer from Louis B
Rolla, Missouri9 contributions1 helpful vote
Yes, it is on the "border" between Astoria and LI City and an easy walk to the many restaurants on Broadway and 30th Ave and to the N subway. It is a slightly longer walk to the restaurants on Ditmars Blvd.

Not sure about that for all rooms, but I'd say no for the type of room I booked which was the cheapest.

It is not walking distance. It would require taking the subway across the Queensborough bridge, but is only about 20 mins away. The hotel sucks though so I would look for another place to stay.
