Had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms, while basic, have everything you require. However, being New York, from the room you can hear the passing of trains etc. quite frequently. The room was serviced everyday which was also a bonus. Breakfast was included and was very nice with a few cooked options available. The hotel is very close to Hunters Point Avenue subway station (no. 7 takes you to Times Square) and stations Queens Plaza/Court Sq are also within a 10/15 min walk to get you everywhere else (airport etc.). The staff were generally all lovely from check in to breakfast, however our only complaint is that the manager Luis, while he seemed an nice guy to customers, we overhead numerous condescending conversations towards staff in English and Spanish that made us feel uncomfortable, especially having seen how brilliant the staff are. Overall, would recommend because of the insane value being only 3 stops away from the centre of Manhattan!!

I had a great time at this hotel. Hot shower, nice options for breakfast (even with Covid they are making it happen). I just think they should give us more than $10 credit to get the breakfast. It’s only $10 per room so if we have more people at the room it wouldn’t be enough.
The bed and pillows are comfortable and nice.
Sparkling clean
Front desk extremely friendly. Special thanks for Luis and the girl that I don’t remember her name

We came to visit for a five day trip to NYC and found this cozy hotel with a competitive price. One of the amenities we especially liked was the proximity to stations serviced by E and 7 lines which take you directly into the city, both within 5-10 minute walk.

Another amenity worth noting is the breakfast, you will want to add it to your reservation when you book. The breakfast selection is fairly standard (choice of any of the following: waffle or pancakes, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, sausage; eggs with cereal, coffee and juices). The benefit being it’s served starting at 7am so for tourists wanting to get an early start look no further than the 5th floor. We used the time in the morning to discuss plans over breakfast.

One complaint I saw others have is the noise from the rail yard however during our stay here we really didn’t notice it and was not bothered by it.

The location of the hotel is walking distance to many small downtown restaurants and night life which was very welcome as we could easily grab a small bite or a night cap before returning to the hotel.

We booked a single king sized room which is good for two people, it was clean and the daily cleaning from the staff helped keep it that way. The room had a decently sized television, fridge and plenty of under bed space for keeping our luggage. The room also had a safe.

The staff was attentive and friendly, with a decently stocked commissary (plenty of pre made and packaged snacks), thank fully we had no issues with our stay and had no need to contact them besides greeting o
Them on our way out for the day.

If you are looking for a friendly stay with breakfast every morning I would highly recommend the feather factory.

I needed a place to stay as I was flying in late and had a meeting around the corner in LIC the next morning. Upon arrival the front desk associate was nothing but accommodating. He informed me I did not have a reservation as I had accidentally booked the room for the wrong night (the night before). I travel a lot for work (weekly) and have never made this sort of error before. Human error, it happens. Lucky for me they still had room and I booked a room on the spot. He suggested I call the booking site/talk with the manager in the morning to see about getting refunded as they would usually do this for a mistake which I was appreciative of.

When I called the booking site they said the hotel wouldn't authorize a refund. When I checked out I asked that the manager contact me and left my information. I heard nothing.

I called back today and spoke with someone at the front desk who put me on a lengthy hold to tell me no refund. I asked for a manager again and when they got on the phone, they too said no refund.

Here's the issue. You had room. You obviously had room both those nights. One of those two nights, a room would have been empty. For a silly mistake they could attempt to be a bit more accommodating. I have meetings in the area quarterly and this was the first and last time I will stay here.

Spend a few more dollars and stay at the courtyard a few blocks away.

I stayed here cause I was to tired to drive home. What an Excellent hotel. I would always stay here in the future if I’m to tired and don’t want to drive to Pennsylvania. The breakfast rivaled any restaurant, and next time I’m going to put money in the meter so I can sit down and eat the specialty omelettes. 😊 Don’t Miss this hidden Gem!!!!!!

High ceilings and a fridge in the room. Bed was average/fine. Bathroom had a fan but no vanity/counter space for toiletries at all. Shower curtain corner setup was tight - impossible to shower without rubbing against it. Room smelled pretty funky, like dirty feet or vomit. With the ac circulating it made me kinda nauseous and was wishing I changed rooms, with ac off the smell was bearable. Don't even want to think about what's growing in there, or between the separating laminate floor panels.

At current covid prices I'll pay the 10-20% premium to stay elsewhere future trips, especially during a time when I'd have to use heat or AC. If it's ever much cheaper than the surrounding places it might be worth a roll of the dice.

Great location close to the subway station. Friendly service. Great hot water in the rooms and strong Wi-Fi. Opt-in for the breakfast. It’s good. There is always (24/7) hot water available in the lobby with tea bags, instant coffee. Plus, there’s a cute lobby store where you can buy snacks, convenience items and more. Grubhub delivers food from a wide variety of local delis and restaurants.

This hotel is totally underrated. I spent a week there in November following a recommendation from a friend. But had I paid attention to the ratings I read on Trip advisor and other pages, I would have been very hesitant.

it is the first hotel I stayed near Mahattan that ticks all the boxes.
Location - Excellent. It is two stops away by Subway from Midtown Manhattan.
Cleaniness and Ambiance - on point, it is not "the Ritz Carton" as one of their hotel staff told me when I called to cross check the situation after seeing some horrible reviews. He said you are guaranteed to have a good stay. and I proved him right.

The room is way above basic, you get a large and comfortable enough bed. It is very clean. you also get a fridge, a study and TV. The bathroom is way more spacious and comfortable than I saw in reviews. In fact, it is very clean and spacious enough. I had zero complaints.

They also offer free tea, coffee and vending machine for other snacks in the lobby. I was also told they offer breakfast for a very reasonable fee although I did not try the breakfast.

It is particularly ideal for a business travel or tourist coming to NYC and looking for a good deal on hotel. You get good facilities, excellent location for a way more reasonable price that NYC often offers. I'd full heartedly recommend it to anyone.

Micheal at the reception was super super super kind and untiring with answering my endless question on directions and related during my stay. Very grateful!

Hotel was clean, staff was professional, and I found the hotel to be fairly priced in regards to what it offers. I also want to give a major shoutout to Bakari a maintenance / Cleaner employee that was there and demonstrated a great deal of courtesy and professionalism. Overall great individual, great hotel making it an unforgettable experience.

Extremely good value for money! It’s not in central Manhattan, however it’s a short 5 min walk to two subway lines, which are suburban however we as a family felt safe.
The rooms are basic, as expected of a 3* hotel but big enough to cater for a family of 5. Beds could have been comfier and there is a very busy railway line across the road which woke us a couple of times. However that’s not the hotels fault.
Staff were very friendly and welcomed us.
The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. Cereals, toast, bagals and freshly made waffles wkth bacon/sausage/potatoes/eggs were all excellent and set us up for long days in the city, saved us a ton of money too.
Highly recommend for a budget family stay.
