Assume you will awakened at 7am with construction noise immediately next door. The noise continues all day long if you are trying to work from your room. Some rooms are within 20 feet of the noise. The website should make this clear to anyone booking a room here.
I travel to NYC a lot for work and this Hotel is near three of my company's current locations which is why I first picked it to stay. As a regular traveler there are a couple things I've gotten a little more picky about when it comes to hotels and this hotel met and exceeded expectations. 1. THE SHOWER DOESN'T LEAK; Most hotels have curtains or glass doors that don't keep the water in the shower well so the entire bathroom floor gets wet. This Hyatt doesn't have that problem at all! 2. Chromecast is the streaming tool they use so you can just link up your phone and get to watching TV, you don't have to type in any passwords or emails. 3. I couldn't hear anything outside my hotel room.
Enjoyed our stay @ Hyatt. Nice, clean, spacious room and the free breakfast was an added benefit. This hotel is conveniently located 2 blocks from subway and the #7 train which runs from Manhattan to Flushing Meadows.
This hotel is a gem in a city where quality service and cleanliness can be hard to come by. The staff is nice, amenities consistent, communication was frequent and transparent. The location is also perfect if you need to get to Manhattan as there are trains nearby and a taxi is 15 minute ride across the bridge. I travel for business and use this hotel frequently.
If staying at this location make sure you check the bedsheet before getting in. Found what looked to be a very large fecal matter or blood stain on the bedsheets. Could not have been an oversight by the cleaning staff.
