Went there for an overnight stay after a corporate party at the the hotel. The worst thing about this hotel is the AC unit. OMG it sounds like a helicopter. I mean we had to turn it off. It was unbearable. The TV, is on 20 yr old cable. Then for the record , I had to pay for parking at a hotel I am staying at. Just crazy. The Elevator stainless, flooring and general cleanliness is subpar. I am sure the views are good. But you will definitely pay more. I guess I got a cheap unit. the view as pretty much "whatever". The staff was nice and that's why I gave it a 2 star. Otherwise it would be 1.
Service is perfect, room was very clean with a beautiful view. Johnathan front desk customer service rep was very helpful and very nice. I stayed at Ravel a few times for business and Ravel never disappoint me. Thank you very much
Gorgeous little hotel away from the hustle and bustle. We paid about 50 dollars from JFK to get here in a cab. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was cosy as NYC rooms go this was a great size. The staff were very friendly. They provided a shuttle to the subway so you don’t have to walk. We travelled in the winter and it was freezing so the shuttle was most appreciated. Breakfast was nothing special but adequate and kept up filled up until lunch time. I would recommend if you want a place slightly out of the way from all the action
Wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and had a great view of the city and long Island city. Saul at the front desk was so helpful in accomodating us and making sure we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be returning again.
The front desk staff and manager were extremely helpful and accommodating! We arrived hoping to be able to get into our room a couple hours early. They not only found us a room but even upgraded us to a spectacular suite! The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The hotel itself is great and we’d surely consider staying again. But the friendliness and attention from the staff ensures we will. Highly recommend!
I am so happy I found this hotel. The king room with the balcony was worth the price. The view was amazing so I decided to extend an extra night. I will certainly return again. Thank you to all the staff, everyone was amazing.
Although the property is a 10-15 min walk from the closest Subway station (one is 10 mins away, and two others are 15 mins away respectively), the hotel itself is clean, well-appointed value-priced and great overall! We had a room with a view of Manhattan with the bridge - unlike any other in the City!
Please ignore the negative comments about this hotel. The hotel is FABULOUS. Yes it may be in an ungentrified area but that in no way undermines the hotel. It has the most stunning views of Manhattan, which is also responsiveness by the subway or walking across the bridge. I'm an unfit 57 year old and walked over the bridge and back each day for the 5 days we stayed at the Ravel. The rooms were lovely and expertly serviced each day. The staff could not have been nicer and were clearly very proud of their work place. If you any a very anarchist with stunning views of NYC with great access to public transport....you will struggle to beat the Ravel. We WILL be coming back.
The room is clean and spacious but the air conditioning is super loud, we had to switch it off at night time as it was given us headaches and in the morning of course the room was super cold. The water pressure at the shower is very poor. Location was good
Do not stay here! I cannot believe it has so many good reviews. Our room was dusty to the point of even cobwebs, bathroom handle door was broken, and dark stains on the walls. Hallway smelled like urine. There is a big sign when you check in that says due to labor shortages the room isn’t cleaning regularly. EW. Crazy we paid almost $300 for one night for a dirty room. If it weren’t for a wedding we would have left. Stay away.
