We will keep coming back! Best hotel staff. Genuinely friendly and helpful. THANK YOU. Convenient location (one subway stop from Manhattan; LaGuardia is a quick taxi). Great neighborhood (nearby waterfront park, ferries, coffee, bodegas, breweries, etc.).

The location is excellent. The subway station is 3 minutes walk, (at most) from the hotel, and from there you can get to midtown or lower Manhattan or Brooklyn in minutes, without changing train. It's a few minutes walk to Vernon Boulevard or Gantry Park in Long Island City, where there is a park along by the East River and plenty of bars and restaurants. The room was the biggest I've had in New York. It was spotlessly clean, with good air-conditioning and comfortable beds. The rooms were also very quiet (Bizarre that we needed air-con in November though!!) I would definitely stay here if in New York again.

This is a great location for a visit to Manhattan. You are just over the East river and the hotel is a five minute walk from the Court Square subway - this is then a ten minute ride on the E, M or 7 trains into central Manhattan - which costs $2.75. The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast is OK but not a great variety. Shower is room is great. Found the staff a bit off-hand and could have been friendlier and more helpful. Not happy with a $100 charge being taken as a "damage security deposit". Every other hotel takes a swipe only for incidentals. The practice is more akin to staying in a youth hostel than a hotel. Wifi worse than useless.

One of the better values for the money. You can be three short train stops from Grand Central but not pay Manhattan prices. It’s right on the 7 line which takes you to the Mets stadium and the US Open tennis champs. Walking distance to the MOMA PS1 museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The workout room had ellipticals and two stationary bikes that had a great adjustments for seat height, fore & aft as well as handlebar height & fore and aft. The queen room was average size for NYC rooms. The furniture was pretty cheap. Painted black and less than what you’d get at an IKEA. For example the safe was in the bottom dresser drawer which completely fell out when you tried to use the safe. The breakfast was above average for free hotel buffets. We’d stay again.

The rooms were small but clean. The breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day and the rooftop was a great way to end the day. The staff was friendly. Parking limited, but at least they had some. Subway close, you are able to walk to restaurants and the waterfront. Overall a wonderful experience

So much about this hotel made our weekend stay very pleasant. Great view of Manhattan skyline from the hotel roof deck. Awesome hot breakfast. Clean rooms with daily cleanings. Very easy access to both subway stations and bus routes. We found the staff very helpful in guiding us where we had to go. Will definitely recommend this place to others. No regrets; only commendation.

So I have got to say this review will start off positive however I would not return based on what happened on our return. The room it self was nice and clean. House keeping came in daily. The bed was the best part, it was huge and very comfortable. The subway is close by and it only takes 15 to get into Manhattan. The breakfast was ok, not a lot of choice but did the job. We stayed for 2 nights then went to Washington for a night to return for a further 3. We asked if we could keep our main luggage with reception when leaving for Washington however the receptionist checked with her manage who said we could keep our stuff in the room as we would be staying in the same room on our return. THERE WAS AT NO POINT MENTION OF A FEE, CHARGE FOR THE ROOM , COST OR PAPERWORK TO SIGN to say we agreed or authorised a payment for room we would not be staying in!! On return we found out we had indeed been charged £140 for the room. The hotel are claiming they told us about the addition room charge and just took the money from the credit card we used. Some people reading this will say 'well surely they knew they would have to pay '. We assumed it was a goodwill gesture given we were coming back the day after. Had we known about the addition room fee we would have packed up and left our luggage or taken it with us for the sake of one night. I am absolutely devastated and on my return to NY next year will most definitely not be staying her on principle ever though I had enquired about prices and dates!

Greetings, Thank you so much for taking time out to leave feedback, we sincerely appreciate it! We thank you for your kind words when it pertains to service. We have a luggage room available for our guests 24 hours a day to leave their bags free of charge upon checkout. Under any circumstance, we would not allow a guest to leave personal belongings in a room they are not paying for, as another guest would have been able to occupy the room. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for providing us an opportunity to accommodate you.

Our flight was cancelled and we were sent here by Delta. What a welcome surprise! Clean, friendly, helpful. And Amy runs an awesome front desk. Her advise to visitors was so helpful. Views of the city are amazing! We liked this place so much we will be back to see the Mets and midtown.

Booked this hotel based on its very reasonable price and its proximity to Manhattan. Turns out it completely exceeded our expectations. We were very impressed by the friendly staff, the great breakfast, the cheap parking, and the cleanliness of the property. An added bonus was the subway stop was about a one minute walk away and one stop away from Downtown. Also there's a rooftop patio with an awesome view. The rooms were small but the pictures on the website were completely accurate so we knew exactly what we were getting. Plus the price was about a third of what we would pay across the river. You can also take the ferry into town (a nightime cruise along the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge with all the lights of the city for $2.75) and there's four excellent craft breweries all within a few blocks of the hotel. Highly recommended.
