When we arrived and realised the riad was far from the town we were concerned about the standard of the accommodation but we were absolutely wrong. This is a hidden gem. The proprietor is so welcoming and kind. There is a sauna and a jacuzzi which we had to ourselves- what a treat. We could see the beautiful starry night sky from the jacuzzi. The rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was beautiful, a stack of fresh crepe style pancakes plus so much more. The best breakfast we’ve had in Morocco. The children got to feed the turtles and play on the piano after swimming in the beautiful pool. There’s a shop next door which was helpful.
Even though we were there less than 24 hours it was a total treat. We loved our stay, if you are travelling in the area definitely use this as your base.

This has to be one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds so comfy. We had the place to ourselves and so had own own private spa with sauna, jacuzzi and pool - the works! The food was top-notch but the nicest part was the warm welcome we received from our hostess Ursula and Hassan her assisant. Nothing was too much trouble for them in their efforts to make our stay a happy one. One night was too short - we will be back.

This place is heaven on earth. It is an European run boutique Riad, with 5 superior quality rooms with kingsize beds and large annex bathrooms. Every guest is offered to use the hammam, sauna and jacuzzi on the top roof. You should not hesitate to do so. We did not use the 3m deep pool, because it can be very cold at night in January. Hospitality by Mr. Rashid is beyond planet earth. He makes you feel special and very welcome from the first till the last minute. The location is very quiet, super clean and extremely well decorated. We enjoyed diner for 2 nights and it shows that Mr. Philip used to be a seasoned chef. From here by day you can make trips in the rough outback or do both gorges Dades and Toghdra in one day. As traveled Dutchmen we never encountered such a wonderful hotel. One of these places you should do.

Awesome place to stay, close to Gorge du Dades and Todra (midway between Boumalne Dades and Tinghir). Has a Sauna, Hamam and a Whirlpool. The food is delicious too. We were the only guests and truly felt like kings. Service was top notch! Only little drawback is that there is nothing else to do in this very small village.

Put simply: If you are going into the desert (or heading south in Morocco for any other reason), I can't imagine not stopping for a night (or more) at this phenomenal Riad. It is a jewel in the desert, quite literally.

The Riad itself is gorgeous and relaxing. The fact it includes a beautiful Hamam and a Spa is also a huge plus. The food was also unexpectedly excellent. My wife and I had the best fried sardines in our entire trip in Morocco here.

The number one plus of the Riad, however, is the manager. He is the most professional, friendly and helpful manager imaginable. It is a little unusual to heap such lavish praise on a hotel for service, but in this case it was truly distinguished and deserving.

Riad Timadrouine is a bit in the middle of nowhere (between Ouarzazate and Todra), but it compensates for that by being a charming place, with lots of quiet and well-appointed rooms.
Service was pretty attentive and Hassan was very helpful overall. The breakfast was typical moroccan and good.

However the dinner is in a category of itself. It's a "four-course" meal that consisted of 1) a tiny chickpea dip with sliced tomatoes, 2) a sampling of random little things on a plate (mustard, shredded carrots etc), 3) a small piece of overcooked meat with no seasoning and no sauce save for some overcooked fennel and one quarter of a boiled potato, 4) caramelized bananas (the best thing in the meal). All this for 18 euros (a price that wasn't communicated to us until the final bill was drawn)! And that price doesn't include wine since there were none available that night! It felt like a scam.

Dear Madam, We apologize for the delay of our answer, we were willing to welcome american clients at the riad to have more opinions about the dinner. American guests enjoyed their stay and the dinner. and I also contact the others guests (french guests) who were there at the same time with you and they appreciated their dinner. i am sorry that you didn't get a nice souvenir of our riad because of the dinner. We are definetly not scammers as you write and we are sorry that your dinner was not convenient for you. This is not our philosophy and we are always improving our services, accomodation,..and we always try to offer the best to our guests. However we will be glad to know the place in Marrakech where you can have a dinner at 18€/person including alcohol. It will be useful for our clients and us. We pay attention to your comment and it will be a chance for us to welcome you again, so that you could really enjoy our place and get a good souvenir. Thanks and best regards Philippe

The wife and I stayed here for one night. It was really lovely. The riad/guesthouse has a free swimming pool, sauna and hot-tub.
The staff couldn't do enough for you, they were very helpful, welcoming and the service was excellent. we had a four course meal that was to die for. We were treated like royalty.

After a long journey through the ATLAS mountains on dirt roads the RIAD was a perfect oasis. Superbe and spacious rooming was complemented by a very good service and excellent cooking. In the middle of the desert I was served stuffed sardines which were just delicious.

If it were for a cristicism, its just the road next to the Riad. You do not hear it much and traffic is typically low but it slightly impacts the fun sitting on the roof terrace watching the desert and the mountains

I really enjoyed my stay

During our trip to Tinghir (to explore the Tondra and Gages Gorge), two friends, my wife, little son and I stayed for two nights in the Riad Timadrouine. In general the riad is nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The free WiFi was ok but not great (quite common in Morocco). Our host Rachid was really kind and gave us a lot of useful hints on Tinghir and the surrounding area (especially Tondra and Gages Gorge). Last but not least, every morning Rachid made us a delicious breakfast.
The riad is close to Tinghir (approximately 20 km away) and a perfect starting point to explore the city and both the Dades and Tondra Gorge. A small grocery shop is next to the riad, for restaurants and bigger shops it is better to go to Tinghir.
The only minor point of criticism was our arrival. We arrived two hours earlier than the check-in time and as it is not the main season for this area, nobody was available in the riad. Therefore we were not even able to get in. In the end it was not too bad, we drove to Tinghir and spent the waiting time there.
All in all, we really had a good time at the Riad Timadrouine and we would definitely stay there again.

Fata Morganas do not exist, then you haven't been to this place. The tranquility that is captured between the wall of this riad is astonishing! The landlord is extremely friendly and he also cooks the dinner for the night, which was seriously cooked so well!! I can recommend this place to everybody!
