We stayed for six nights and enjoyed our time here. We had the Ravene House, which was nice for a family with 8 year old twins and a ten year old. There was room to spread out-excellent. Auberge provided board games and cards. We had full board, (this was a vacation and I wasn't going to cook!) however you could cook full meals here, the kitchen was fully equipped. The hotel provided food was a mix of Mauritian and French, good exposure for the kids, though they didn't like it all. The Auberge is in a great location, a hop, skip and jump from the trail head to Trou D'Argent beach. There are a couple of small/tiny beach hut shops to pick up juice, soda and bier. There is one small restaurant Solange and Robert which is simple and delicious. This is not five-star, 300 count linen sheet hotel. This is a family run warm Auberge, just what we needed. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Ravene house has living room to spread out on. Away from noisy beach on weekends.

From start to finish its a great deception. The rooms are outdated and needs urgent refurbishment. Dinner is catastrophic with poor starters, main and dessert... Breakfast sounded more than street food. But the ladies working there are just great like Sharline and friends. The administration should take a stand either to shut down or renovate. I have not slept on my first night and i was re_ allocated another room hoping to have a peacefull night. Ask me question to guide you for tips if you insist going there. Rs 3244 for half board for two adults and one child of 9 yrs... Rubbish In Mauritius you get full board for Rs 4000. and 3 star rating. Now happy people of tripadvisor community, its your choice thats count...

Dear Yogesh, We do understand that l'Auberge is not your type of accommodation. We are not a hotel nor we intend or pretend to be. But as you will notice we have a high satisfaction rate among our other clients (who understand and appreciate the authenticity, simplicity of who we are) We did suggest for you to be re-located (free of charge) as for us the most important thing is our client satisfaction and happy holidays. There is not much more we could have done. We hope that you still enjoyed the island. All the best, L'auberge family.

Very charming group of ladies to welcome you at the guest house and service is good at breakfast and dinner. Quiet place to unwind and to be disconnected. No internet, no Tv in the room you surely will! Relaxing experience overall with good food served in good portions :) Keep up with the nice service!

We went there in Feb and the environment is quiet and nice. The staff is very helpful and it is very good value for money. However, only thing is that for the studio, there was no microwave and it would have been nice to have coffee and sugar in the room. There was no cooking plate or gas plate to cook something. That was the only thing missing and it was little bit disappointing not to find these in the studio with the kitchenette. Else everything was perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Thank you so much for your review - we have indeed kept the kitchenette very simple (more for salad preparation rather than cooked meals) but we do provide extra equipment if requested. Really hope to see you again at the Auberge. Kind Regards from the Auberge family.
