At a time where it is so common to stay at chain hotels, a well run classic hotel can be a breath of fresh air.
The Queensbury retains enough classic trimmings to make it grand and it has tastefully upgraded rooms and amenities to make it cheery, clean and practical. When was the last time you have seen a functional mail collection point on each floor, delivering your letter directly into the USMail letterbox downstairs?
Breakfast was tasty and you cannot go wrong with mimosas to brighten the start of your day. Check out the photo of the Cadillac dealership from the 1930. That would be quite the collection to have today!

We needed a place to gather as a family following my Grandmother's Memorial Service. We had a small banquet room for 23 of us, and it was absolutely fantastic! Making the arrangements with Alexis and Ali was effortless, the venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, the service was extraordinary, and it was very reasonably priced! I would highly recommend the Queensbury Hotel and I will definitely use them again if I need a venue for something in the future!

We had some family members that had rooms at the Queensbury Hotel during this time, and they were very pleased with their rooms. Very nice rooms, and again, reasonably priced!

well, I'm from northern NJ and i guess I haven't gotten rid of my prejudices...i figured Glens Falls was just another depressed dilapidated dying upstate NY town and just how good could a boutique hotel there be? But we needed a place that took Pets, and they did.
First of all, Glens Falls was a pretty nice town; probably very livable except for what i expect is tough weather. But that's another review.
The hotel has an excellent location, a block from many downtown restaurants. Fenimores, which is a casual pubi n the hotel, is superb. Really excellent and a good value, another separate review. The place looks a little suspect from the outside with a bit of a dated canopy which sort of initially reinforced my suspicions that this was going to be a disappointment. As we walked in my first thought was man, just a bit of paint would go a long way with the entrance. As I thought that, I almost ran over a guy on his knees inside the foyer...painting the entrance. But the outside is deceptive, because it is otherwise well kept with nice plantings in the driveway circle. Well, once we got inside, the foyer, lobby and function rooms were really beautiful and immaculate. OK, it isn't Raffles or the Four Seasons, but it is a historic place. Friendly and efficient desk. Rooms were very nicely renovated - as I expected there was black and white tile on the floor of the bathroom, but updated and superior fixtures, sink, shower, toilets, etc. Super comfortable bed. Loads of parking. Absolutely enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Clean.
Was a total of $750 for three nights BUT...this included $150 for the dog ($50 a night) and about $60 in taxes to pay for some of Albany's ongoing stupidity (like a state law that you can't just order a drink without getting food - apparently COVID related according to our wait staff). So in reality the cost would have been about $150 a night without the pet and taxes, very reasonable. Not only did we like the hotel and Fenimores, but we liked Glens Falls and the area very much.

I loved this hotel. The staff, the food at the hotel’s pub, and the ambience were all grade A+. The rooms and common areas were spotless and I loved that the hotel kept the historical tone of the decor while introducing modern elements. A truly fashionable boutique hotel and an all around excellent hotel stay experience.

First the hotel itself - this hotel should be a landmark if it is not. It is grand in the old style and very well maintained. Cleanliness a clearly a top priority as staff can be seen cleaning constantly. Staff - the staff was amazing - knowledgeable about the area, friendly and accommodating. We had booked 4 separate rooms and requested an early arrival. They honored the early (very early arrival) and worked to get the group on the same floor with adjacent rooms) I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

This is a lovely hotel, although staffing is a bit of an issue. Also, it literally took 10 minutes to get hot water in our room for showers and washing. For some reason they were having trouble with that on the 3rd floor, which we were located on. Initially they were going to charge us $10/night for having a fridge in our suite. Apparently they were going to have to bring it up to us. When we got there a fridge was already in the room, so charge was taken off. The check in staff was not familiar with the property and what was in the room apparently. Overall, it is a very nice hotel and the little glitches we experienced were resolved. Would stay here again.

Hello bbms2020, Thank you for taking the time to review The Queensbury Hotel! I am glad to hear that you found our hotel both clean and comfortable. I do apologize for the noise though. I can say that even though we do stop short of guaranteeing early check in (for numerous operational reasons) we certainly do try our absolute best to get everyone checked in early. I was very glad to see we were able to get your entire group checked in by 2:30 pm on the day of the event. We sincerely appreciate you spending this special occasion with us, and we do hope to see you back soon! Thank you! The "Q" Team

Booked the hotel for a work conference and brought my family. Arrived at the hotel at 6pm after traveling several hours away. Was told at the front desk that our room wasn't ready and that they were overwhelmed. I asked how much longer, and receptionists said could be a few more hours. I laughed in disgust because I thought she was going to say something like 10-15 minutes. I asked again why and she said that they were overwhelmed and the staff was doing all that they could. I said didn't the hotel know that there was a conference booked and how many rooms were needed? I'm sure anyone reading this knows how upset my wife and kids were because they were so excited that we arrived and wanted to see the hotel room and just get out of the car. Other guests I met at the conference were told there rooms weren't ready either.

Anyway hotel and our room was very clean. Parking very easy because they have large parking lot. Pool and hot tub were open from 7am-10pm and family enjoyed that area as well. The decor of the hotel was very nice and hotel staff during our stay was helpful. We asked for fridge and microwave and they brought it to our room in a short time.
Breakfast was only open from 7am-8:30 for the conference and there is no other options for a quick breakfast nearby I was told. Lunch and dinner has many options within walking distance and the area is very clean and comfortable feeling. NYSP and Glenn Falls PD were present in the area and were very helpful and made my family and I feel safe. Easy drive to Lake George about 18 minutes away.

We spent three nights. The whirlpool is excellent but no shower to rinse off. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and all over the hotel are wonderful, black and white, framed photographs that are lovely to inspect. The staff was friendly and did their jobs well. They have fabulous blueberry pancakes and other lovely breakfast items, but you do pay for them, not cheap. They should have high toilets and better shelving in the bathrooms and better window treatments because the sun wakes you up, bring your eyeshades to sleep. Beds had normal mattresses, not firm, phew. Love the location. I didn’t like that the doors from the parking lot were not automatic to get in with your suitcases.. The parking lot is great and large but it’s quite far from the front desk. Something should be done about that. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices are high for breakfast but the blueberry pancakes were fabulous, coffee delicious, staff in there, very friendly and efficient. The lobby is huge and inviting. The back and white, framed , historical photographs are great and I enjoyed looking at all of them, even in your room. Mattresses were normal, not firm, thank God. Bathrooms could be improved with high toilets and more room, shelving, for toiletries.

The cleanliness of the hotel was good. The location was great. The room with a king size bed was large. The younger employees at the desk and lobby area need a lot more training. Young man at desk very unprofessional. Young man at front door was cleaning the door never opened the door for us with our hands full. He just stepped aside. We stayed 6 nights and they charge additional $10 for a mini fridge and $10 for a microwave. I think if you stay 5 or more nights you should be able have a mini fridge and microwave with no additional charge. The hotel is beautiful. Showers small. I would have loved a bathtub but understand the hotel is 95 years old.

The parking lot is reasonably sized and accessible from 2 directions (meaning you wouldn't have to turn around). But it does not have dedicated "long" spots for trailers. If you look at the hotel on Google Maps with the satellite imagery, the Queensbury parking lot is the one directly north of the hotel building (between the hotel and E. Washingon St.) Just the lot with the "straight" lines, it does not include the lot next to it with the "angled" lines.
