My family and I rented two rooms at the MG Grand in Jan 2023. Overall we really liked the hotel and location and will come back again. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms very nice as well. I was really torn between giving it a 4 or 5 star rating. But ultimately there were a few issues that held it back from being 5 star. The first room we were given was along the outer area of the hotel with large windows looking out over the bay. Beautiful. Unfortunately, across from the Pier One bar area with loud music until 1am. Also, sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain. The staff was very accommodating in moving us to another room, this time on the inner ring of the hotel. Nice room, but the only window looked into an inner courtyard and there was no natural light. Felt like a cave. The only other negative was the breakfast. Adequate at best. Missing were any decent donuts or pastries to go with coffee. Pandesal (ok) and for some reason cookies were placed by the coffee and tea section. Minor gripes, and overall the staff, hotel, and room were very nice and we would chose it again.

Our family enjoyed our stay. Clean and beautiful room with a nice view of the pool. The nice staff service was also a plus. Great stay all in all. Would love to go back and stay a little longer. If you want to have fun this is recommended for they have late bar services.

It looks good in the pictures so we tried to check out this place with my family. Checking in was fast and smooth. Our room which is Deluxe Twin, is very spacious, clean and the beds are good for two with lots of pillows. Bathroom is big and neat. They gave us bottled water as much as you want upon request. I love the breakfast buffet although the bread section has only few selections. The restaurant is also a bar during late hours which is also nice. Food and bar price are somehow reasonable. Staffs are helpful but sometimes you have to get their attention to get things done. There’s a gym at the rooftop which is very nice and has a good set of machines. The pool is quite small but it has a nice view of the freeport. We did not enjoyed that much because it’s raining during our whole stay. The hotel is just near to Royal Dutyfree and some other bars and restaurant which is a very big plus to those who were looking for some action.

Just read thru some reviews just now and I can say that the negative comments of other guests were really taken into consideration because they have really improved/fix them. I chose this hotel because of the amentities like pool, billiards, darts and restaurant. I super love this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. We got the deluxe twin with the beach view. We were also here last April same year. My husband had a biking event. The staff of hotel and restaurant were also very friendly. Mabilis sila mag respond sa requests namin. Late check out is allowed as long as wala kasunod na guests. The food in the restaurant is good also esp breakfast buffet. We forgot to try their buffet merienda tho. Highly recommended hotel in subic. Thanks to the staff of the hotel and gastro pub restaurant. by the way, there's another restaurant in the hotel parang Chinese ata but we were not able to try them kasi we are satisfied na with gastro pub.

The word "best" promptly fit this hotel. From the quality of room maintenace upto housekeeping and concierge services. Excellent variety of breakfast selection. Ameneties are complete with swimming pool and gym. Distancing not strictly practiced but probably bec of alert level. Lots of foreigners during our stay. The hotel was fully booked this holyweek. Five star for a four star hotel.

The hotel in general is acceptable but needs improvement. They have to work hard on their cleanliness. The toilet in my room is not clean, they have not changed the bed sheets & linens for the whole time we are on quarantine. The food is not sumptuous and most of the meat items are not chewable as they are stiffed. The remote controls of their AC, TV is not properly checked that it needs changing the batteries. They have not checked each room before accepting occupants, is what I have summed up. The staff, I do not know if he is a hotel staff or from BOQ, who welcomed us at the front door on our arrival insisted that for family of an OFW, it is allowed to stay 2 for each room. But I informed him that as per the quarantine protocol communicated through a brochure, it should be 1 person per room only. And then later on receiving a call (maybe from BOQ or whatever) that it is not allowed to have 2 persons in 1 room even for a family & have my daughter & son be moved to another room. Therefore, the IATF should train and equip all personnel involved for this quarantine dilemma very well to avoid confusion.

My go-to place for business in Subic. Best hotel breakfast buffet in Subic. Great sunset view from the roof deck. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Accessible to good restaurants and other facilities, particularly the Royal Duty Free (my favorite stop in SBFZ, they have chocolate bars not available anywhere else). BWH, please continue what you do because it's one of the things Subic thrives on.

For this subic anniversary trip, we tried out Best Western Plus Hotel. Have read good reviews plus being an international brand... Was expecting some "Plus". PROS 1. Staff were warm and eager to help. Shout out to Jed, Hershey and Tiffany. 2. We really appreciate the surprise pastry/greeting to help celebrate our special occasion. 3. Pool and jacuzzi were warm and relaxing and operating hours were until 9pm so very good wash up after a day at the beach.  4. Room was well equipped. Liked that the Cable service had a lot of channels including Disney Jr.  4. Breakfast was packed and for room consumption only which was a let down but the packed food was ok and generous in serving. COULD BE IMPROVED 1. I think the hotel is transitioning from the Best Western Group to a since the logo out front was removed but could clearly see traces of the old brand. 2. Rooms are narrow but long and with high ceiling so felt kinda tight specially with 2 small luggages. 3. Bed/mattress was low and slightly sagging so not the best sleep.  4. Some wear and tear are already apparent specially the laminates in the room. 5. Toilet had very dim lighting so putting on make-up will be challenging.  To be fair, this hotel with its promo rate of P3021 is still very competitive versus the other older hotels/resorts in the area. They just have to work on some of their minus.
