Well, actually i was gonna say that the hotel needs to do some minor renovations.. but i just read some of the reviews here from 2018 that have the same observations that i do. LoLs. I honestly thought that the reason for the not so perfect shape the rooms are in was because of the pandemic. but the problem seems to have been present since way before pandemic even started. The location is pretty good, plenty of parking spaces for everyone. There was no breakfast served at the time of visit of the pandemic. but ordering via delivery apps is easy anyway. I would suggest trying CafeDeli on your ordering app. the food that you will get is miles better than what jollibee or mcdonald's can offer you. anyway, rooms... there are some complaints and some issues that may be a deal breaker for some people. for example... there is standing water underneath the bathroom tiles.. water spews out like a little geyser when you step on that said tile. even the restroom on the first floor is in bad shape. the tiles are all broken because of standing water underneath those tiles. The rooms need some major updating, of the paint and the fixtures and especially lighting. i dont think the management reads the reviews.. but yea says subic bay corporation owns this place. sounds like government run hotel, to be honest. Could be wrong. Overall, it is OKAY. It is livable. but i think it could be much better. I dont want to give out bad reviews during the pandemic.. so i will stop here.

We book this hotel at Travel Expo in SMX. We paid for a discounted price. I already know what to expect since it’s a very cheap price. Reception is just small but with a very nice front desk people. Our room has a mini kitchen and two single beds. Veranda has no view but roofs. But for the price I paid, we’re fine with it. The room is clean and has basic amenities. Buffet breakfast is basic and no complain about it. Along with the package is unlimited drinks at the bar which is the best for me since I drink a lot. The only problem is the swimming pool which you have to pay and located on the other side of the resort. It’s quite expensive since the place is not so exclusive. Water is so cold and its not that beautiful. I love the spa which comes with jacuzzi (the water is so super hot) and a dry sauna. This hotel is only good for business travelers and not recommended for family looking for recreation.

Staff were very nice and courteous; however, the room that we had was less than modern. In particular, the kitchen had one pot, a hot plate for cooking, a small toaster oven, and a medium fridge with no freezer. There were four cereal bowls and four plates with spoons, forks, etc. If you are going to provide a kitchen, you really need multiple pots and pans plus larger bowls, etc. Also, a stove with an oven would have been nice. We planned on cooking meals, but I'm not sure now. The floor had no rugs; instead, the floors were linoleum; bed was very firm. Furniture is all vinyl, not cloth. The room had an unpleasant smell to it, and the main A/C unit was not working well. Each bedroom had its own A/C unit, and those seemed to be working appropriately. The place has no portable cribs for babies/young children. The fitness center is very minor; it has one treadmill and no ellipticals.

The price is just right for what this hotel has to offer. It's in a good location with walking distance to some good restaurants and bars. The hotel has a good bar with live entertainment on certain nights (Sat, Tue, and Friday). The staff were friendly and ready to assist. It was raining the whole time so I wasn't able to enjoy the pool which is nice. The breakfast buffet serves the basic American breakfast meal with eggs made to order. It has a nice spa, jacuzzi and massages like Shinto and Thai. They were both good.

I'm in and out of Subic all the time for business, and I never stay anywhere else, having tried a wide range of different accommodations, both long term (9 months) and short term (1 week). In every instance where I chose Sun Plaza, I had no regrets and no problems, but whenever I chose to stay somewhere else (whether outside the base or inside) something went wrong, whether in terms of service, accommodations, fees, or some other incident. At Sun Plaza, you will have no complaints, and if you do, the owners are always around and will certainly take care of it for you.

Stayed last Feb 2018 for a triathlon event. We checked in late afternoon and was upgraded to an executive suit. HUGE room! Perfect for us as we had 2 bikes with us, and even then there was plenty of room. Requested if we could have breakfast served early, around 4am, as the race started early in the morning. We were expecting a takeout breakfast but was pleasantly surprised that they prepared and opened the buffet breakfast for us at 4am!

What's Good: - Good location (near the beach and within Subic Freeport zone) - Friendly staff - Spacious and sufficiently equipped rooms (e.g., so many cabinets, has a kitchen) - Sufficient parking space - Quiet and peaceful - Really nice view of the bay - Free use of gym, sauna, and Jacuzzi - Free WiFi (slow but still useful) Improvement Areas: - Breakfast can be improved - Staff can be trained to be more proactive and responsive (like when you make a request and you need to follow up because it seems to have been forgotten or staff not constantly checking on the spa locker area so that forgotten stuff by guests are quickly placed in safekeeping. My son lost his swimming trunks here.) - Bathrooms can be better equipped (e.g., no towel hangers). Hotel can be more generous with personal toiletries/amenities (we had 3 small shampoo bottles and 3 small soap bars for 6 guests for 3 days. Comb provided is painful on the scalp.)

Stayed on the 3rd flr with a view of the Moonbay pool. The room had a king size bed, and a fully functional kitchenette, complete with induction cooker, pots/ pans, microwave and oven toaster. The hotel staff were very accommodating. They provided all our requests on time and were friendly to the kids. Request a room 311 onwards. The room at the other end has no view whatsoever, you'll be faced on the wall of the other resort. Breakfast was not great. very limited choices. It's a good thing they had a kitchenette, we had the option to make our own breakfast. The hotel does not have their own pool, but they'll give you 2 ticket passes that can be used on the pool beside the hotel. Add'l tickets will cost you P180 each. I suggest you just buy food on the pool, at P300 consumable, you can already use the pool free of charge. Overall would be staying in this hotel on our next visit.

This condotel has a lot of potential because of its location in Subic. The staff are untrained and seem not to care at all. Upon check-in, we could feel and sense that this is not the condotel we expected it to be. The room we booked, a 1 Bedroom Executive was very spacious but needed more decor, maintenance and cleaning. Wifi was erratic and very slow. Breakfast was very disappointing. Our room ACU was not working properly and we had to endure a 26 Deg Celsius temperature overnight. Last but not the least was the price we paid for this 3.5 Star hotel. The 8.5 rating at booking.com? Go check it out yourself.

I had high expectations due to the price but ended up disappointed. It was more like an air bnb type of thing than a hotel. Good: - the in-room amenities are great - they have a tie up pool arrangement with a nearby hotel Bad: - check-in took forever; management needs to review their procedures so it's more efficient - breakfast was a mess. Food kept running out and whatever was served quickly got consumed by other guests. There were only 2 staff who did the egg station, did the tables, serving, etc. It took me almost an hour to begin eating. It was the worst breakfast experience of my life. It's felt like I was begging for food There are many better and cheaper hotels in Subic. We will never stay here again.
