Booked 3 rooms on a weekend stay. One is a suite that they said they upgraded. They have a nice pool , amidst an expansive beachfront marina. Rooms are outdated. Air conditioning comfort poses a challenge . Tv channels just average. Bathroom has a shower in a tub. But they have bidet spray available. Breakfast was buffet , somewhat managed , but dining guests seem to get food not wearing masks or some sort of protection. This 3 story hotel doesn’t have any elevator. Ironically, the neighbouring Lighthouse Marina has one , but it is not working the past 4 months. Apparently, the pandemic has really affected things.
Lastly, upon checkout, little did I realise that we were booked or placed in a floor with guests undergoing mandatory quarantine. I know , they placed white mono block chairs behind each room to place stuff , and with Red Cross notifications. Even confronted front desk , and they hesitantly confirmed it . Business must be indeed good , they used it as a mixed type hotel without notifying leisure guests what really is going on. Sounds selfish , it seems.

Really enjoyed our 5 day stay at Vista Marina. The pool was awesome and access to the beach was right in front of us for our daily beach walks. Room was clean, staff was friendly, location was perfect. Price was really good when compared to other local waterfront hotels. Free brkfst is hot and good, though brkfst options are limited. I will recommend this hotel to friends who are looking for a decent place to stay at a decent price.

Nice old hotel. Location is great to celebrate New Year's Eve. Bed however is not soft, there were dusts and glass doors not well maintained. Not advisable to elderlies and persons with difficulty in using stairs. Hotel staff are great especially Joem. We will be back again.

Very basic budget hotel. No maintenance, no security, no housekeeping. Very overrated by others who contributed their comments and ratings. Manager and owners should take a very close look at what they offer and how the today's services are conducted and seen by the customers. Resto was not available and we needed to take our bf in a very dirty "cocktail bar". BF was very basic and no refill of the coffee, but charged at extreme prices. Beach bar / resto music with band was so noisy till 1.30h that sleeping was not possible.

The whole hotel looked like it had seen better days in the past. The room was spacious but the cleaning was very questionable. The windows outside were filthy, like they had not been cleaned in ages. It's a pity because the location is great, but the management is bad. I didn't leave because I had already prepaid for my 2 day stay, upon checking in. The outdoor pool of good size, but very dirty, full of leaves, dust etc. My daughter that was traveling with me, refused to enter. The service of the personnel, including the reception staff, below any standards. This very bad choice of hotel, ruined my whole trip. And last but not least, the charge was 4,700 php per day for a double room with 2 beds, for 2 persons.

The scenery is quite relaxing. An overlooking beach would greet you in the morning.

My arrival was not that pleasant. I was greeted with an unwanted smell at the reception.

Elevator. Hard for those who has lots of baggages as I have not seen one during my stay here. You have to carry all your things using the stairs.

Housekeeping, not so great. I had to constantly call them for missed requests. Which is sad. Room is big but not so clean, this may be because of the vintage setup of the whole room. The Comfort Room, ugh, has cockroaches.

But to be fair, the food is just as good. I'll give them a thumbs up for that.

Overall, I would not say that I was totally happy but at least it was enough to get me through my appointments at the time.

family - friendly, elegant, and safe place to stay in Subic. Clean and spacious rooms. Has a mini stop and Nataniel's nearby. Only issue is the high chlorine content of the pool. highly recommended if you are in town

We got robbed in this hotel! And I'm not talking about the room rates either. It was really such a sad and frustrating experience. Last Saturday, May 10, 2008, our family chose to hold the wedding reception for my cousin at Vista Marina Subic. This was on the impression that it will be a most pleasant experience. Boy, were we wrong! During the wedding reception, several people, one of them a female, apparently broke into several rooms taking with them no less than P20,000 in cash, a cellphone, credit cards, ATM cards, and a latest model laptop. When the guests discovered the heist a few hours later, the hotel management opted not to inform the local police for more than three hours! The owner, a Korean national, was heard telling he Operations Manager to keep things quiet. Only when we forced him to alert the local authorities did the operations manager relent. We pleaded with him to talk to the owner so that we can get some sort of reassurance, any thing. We pleaded until 4 AM to no avail. Once dawn broke, we called up a family friend who happened to sit in the local tourism board of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). Only then did the Korean owner offered to compensate us for 50% of the monetary value of the items stolen (because it was found out that Vista Marina Subic has yet to be accrdited by the tourism board). To add insult to injury, the owner insisted that us, the guests, should also be liable to 50% of the amount lost. Hence he was only willing to give half of the amount lost, no more no less. Per interview with the SBMA police, it was relayed to us that this was not the first time that a robbery happened in Vista Marina Subic, not the first time that no evidence of forcible entry was apparent, and not the first time that the hotel management answered "let's wait for the police report" before they will could say how they were going to handle any claims or answer any fault. It was really a nightmare considering that one of the victims happed to be the groom, who lost the laptop. No honeymoon for him that night! Please do not go to this place becauseit is not secure venue. A simple swipe of an ATM card can open any hotel room. They also have no closd-circuit TV. Only one (1) guard for the sprawling place, and easily accessible fire exits. Avoid this place like the plague. Tell your friends about this. I hope you do not suffer like we did. If at all possible, Vista Marina Subic deserves negative five (5) stars.

WARNING WARNING !!!!!!!
I have never had a worse experience then here at the VISTA MARINA HOTEL & RESORT.
This is not a resort!!! You walk into the entrance you don’t even get a greeting from the staff.
The owner will not even AC the Lobby in the hottest month of the year August!!!!. The hotel will not let you check in till 2:00pm. There is not an elevator in the building you will have to climb stairs no first floor rooms. This is not a single staff person that smiles or is friendly. Let’s start with the rooms. The doors are keyed not carded anyone can enter without record. The safe is made of wood and it too is a key your belongings are not safe and secure. The bathroom are dirty and not kept clean as shown in the pictures I have posted. Don’t ask for an extra towel they will charge you for it, they don’t even give you a face cloth or hand towel. The pool is dirty as shown it the pictures. They don’t take care of the beach either, The hotels on each side rake out the beach and do a good job but not the VISTA MARINA. This Hotel doesn’t even maintain the landscaping what a shame, This owner has given up on this place. THE RESTAURANT!! As you enter you will not get a greeting or a smile with one exception “THEA” always smiling and does her best, the rest need to take a lesson from her. Way over priced coffee is p90 across the street at better place it is p60. The free breakfast is a joke, the menu states it is p285, I ordered extra toast and got charged p180 WOW!!! The pictures on the web site is not what you will get.
I would not recommend wasting your money on this place keep looking.

My experience in Vista Marina Hotel was unforgettable. If you will choose what establishment do you like to have an ojt program Vista Marina Hotel is a great choice. For my experienced I really learned a lot not only on that business but also from the employees. They will help you to learn from every details they will give to you but they will make sure that you will also learn from yourself and that is a very important part of being a trainee on their establishment. Vista Marina Hotel is also one of the leading hotels in Subic Bay Freeport Zone and I am sure that you will never regret to choose it as your second home. Employees there will treat you not as a king or a queen but like a family to them who will take care of you and give everything to you as long as they can.But for now, I would like to say thank you Vista Marina Hotel for that wonderful experience.

Hi, We were lucky to have our friend take us around. However, the taxi fares in Philipppines are very very cheap compared to UK. I would send a email to Vista Marina and ask them. I am sure they have a taxi service.

If your husband book a room for you via online booking or via their website, bring a photo copy of his credit card. Name the room under your name..
