We had to extend another night in Olongapo and we decided to try this hotel inside the Freeport Zone. It was just an additional 400 a night from our previous accommodation outside the base yet it made all the difference. Breakfast was already included, tho we didnt get to try it bc we left early in the morning. The room was spacious enough and the staff was really nice, from the security guard to the front desk. We tried their resto and ordered yakisoba, beef dumpling soup and banana turon. It took quite a while before the food arrived but it was worth the wait. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Will difinitely stay here again for our next Subic vacay.

Out of town trip with my partner after a year of zero travel due to pandemic. It was a breath of fresh air away from the busy city and our quality time after being lockdown in Manila for a year. A standard accommodation. Staff are nice and friendly

Stayed for a work-related visit. It is a average hotel but service is commendable. Room is spacious enough. The analogue telephone adds a vintage feel to it. There is a restaurant at the ground floor that serves shabu-shabu and different types of cuisine. Tried a variety of bento sets. The serving size is huge but some parts of the menu tastes bland.

Clean functional business hotel with a friendly ghost in room 204 Breakfast is not much but friendly staff at the restaurant bring your own toiletries as they offer very little and cheap quality near Ayala Harbor Mall

Overseas friend were visiting manila. She planned a subic trip for our college gang. Grand Hoyah was chosen for its big rooms and delicious shabu shabu restaurant. PROS 1. Good bang for your buck ratio vs other budget hotels in SBMA. 2. Big room, big king bed (we chose the king deluxe room). Our friends had the family suite with 2 queen beds, a dining table for 4 and balcony. 3. Plated breakfast main course was filling and selection was decent. On the side was a buffet of vegetable greens, fruits, bread with butter and soup of the day. 4. Staff were smiling and ready to assist. 5. Shabu Shabu dinner in the resto was tasty but affordable. Could be improved: 1 A bit strict on towels. i asked for extra towel but was told that only 2 were allowed in our deluxe king room. But they gave in to my request for a new towel but i had to hand over the used one? 2. There is a staff counter on the 2nd floor elevator lobby with 2 personnel. It tends to get a bit noisy early in the morning if you are in a room just across or nearby. Suggest to train staff to observe hush conversations to not disturb guests. Overall, a practical base for a day or 2 in Subic. 10 min walking distance to Royal Subic Duty Free, Harborpoint Mall and the waterfront boardwalk.

Pros for this hotel are the spacious room and good beds. Location is acceptable as it is the same as some other hotels. The staff are very nice. The room included a set breakfast which you can choose from their menu. Cons would be you need to pay for extra towel which is 150 pesos. Same as for extra blanket. We asked for fresh milk for breakfast and yet, we need to pay extra. This has been the first time we have experienced paying for extra towels and blankets in a hotel. We have been staying in hotels locally and internationally and never experienced those. I hope they could consider removing those extra payments if possible. As when a customer books a room together with their kids, they would need to pay extra towel unless they would bring their own. They have parking in front of the hotel.

Wonderful service by staff. Walking distance to the main entrance / exit to Olongapo City and Freeport shops and restaurants. About 15 minute walk to the Boardwalk where you can view thr sea. About 30 minute drive to Ocean Adventure park and Zoobic Safari. The rooms we booked were spacious. View from the balcony overlooking a vacant lot wasn’t great. Amenities were ample- coffee making, toothbrush, hair dryer. Toilet roll only one was provided without hotel considering whether rooms are occupied by two and 4 people. Mouldy shower curtain and grouts of tiles. Bed was great and comfortable. Room not sound proof as you can hear voices from the corridors and loud music from the KTV downstairs. These noises disrupted my sleep. Breakfast which was inclusive was good but not great. Though there is certainly a room for improvement, otherwise great stay and strongly recommmended for budget conscious travelers!

We frequently visit Subic with the family and once in a while check in to different hotels. We tried Grand Hoyah this time since it was on sale on line. If you are looking for a room in the P2200-P3000 budget, then this is a good option for you. The room we had has 2 twin beds. Bed and pillows were comfy. It had the usual complimentary 2 mineral water, coffee and tea. Room had AC, flat tv with cable channels, wifi internet (no password needed), hot shower (no tub). Room was clean and they have room upkeep. They also have a small elevator which is a good thing since we stayed at 3rd floor. Staffs were friendly and helpful and we were able to check in around 1pm. The have ample space available for guests. Hotel is near Harbourpoint and Royale Duty Free (new one). It also has a Taiwanese Restaurant - Shabu Shabu. Room is inclusive of set breakfast meals at their restaurant. Choice of Filipino or Continental Breakfast is available. Over all: Nothing fancy but okay. 3/5 stars.
