We had a group of 10 for a fishing charter out of Subic bay and needed rooms for one night. The charter company recommended the Grand Hoyas. The Grand Hoyah is comfortable, clean, but a bit dated. Location is very close to mall, waterfront and duty free store, and was just a 5 min ride from harbor. Towels were clean, but worn, rooms smelled faintly of mothballs. Breakfast was included and had a variety of egg/protein choices. Also unlimited congee (surprisingly good) and instant coffee. Total was about $35 a room, so great value for what we needed.

Stayed for a work-related visit. It is a average hotel but service is commendable. Room is spacious enough. The analogue telephone adds a vintage feel to it. There is a restaurant at the ground floor that serves shabu-shabu and different types of cuisine. Tried a variety of bento sets. The serving size is huge but some parts of the menu tastes bland.

We had to extend another night in Olongapo and we decided to try this hotel inside the Freeport Zone. It was just an additional 400 a night from our previous accommodation outside the base yet it made all the difference. Breakfast was already included, tho we didnt get to try it bc we left early in the morning. The room was spacious enough and the staff was really nice, from the security guard to the front desk. We tried their resto and ordered yakisoba, beef dumpling soup and banana turon. It took quite a while before the food arrived but it was worth the wait. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Will difinitely stay here again for our next Subic vacay.

Grand Hoyah hotel has to be the best deal in Subic Freeport Zone. Hotel does show some aging but price is unbeatable and staff is superb. Good free breakfast and good meals that can be purchased 24x. I would not hesitate to stay there each time I go back to SBMA.

My first time in Subic after 7 years. Â Chose this hotel mainly because it's new and and I wasn't dissapointed. Â Got a Family Deluxe room facing canal side with balcony. Â Room is very clean, spacious for 3 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 12. Their extra bed is double bed size. Â Sheets are clean and smells of good fabric conditioner. Â The TV is a 40-inch (my estimate) flatscreen. Â I like they provided an electric kettle for moments when you like a hot drink which I did use and works flawlessly. Â Bathroom is spacious with well-thought out design. Â Towels are also clean. Â I didn't see a single dust or dirt in place. Â Even balcony railing and outdoor tables and chairs are dust-free, as if they just cleaned it because we're coming to stay.
Reception said they were fully booked because of an international triathlon at that time yet I didn't bump into much guests on the hallways or at their restaurant which I like. Â Front desk handled all my requests well. Â
The hotel is just around a 5-10 minutes walk from Harbor Point Mall. Â It's a brand new mall by Ayala and has a lot of good shops inside. Â I find that the shops carry a good selection of items than their counterparts in Manila, so shopping is great here! Â There's a small Mini-stop store near Grand Hoyah for those small necessities. Â And you can actually just walk towards Waterfront Avenue where most of the nightlife and restaurants are found. Â I find the location convenient with ample parking unlike the ones at the bayside where you park on the streets.
Over-all, I have all praises for this new hotel. Â Keep it up Grand Hoyah and congratulations! Â Loved my stay with you! Â Oh, and by the way, did I say their rates are reasonable? Â Our Family Deluxe room was just Php3,750.00 good for 5 persons. Â Thats great value for your money.

We spend our weekend at this hotel last January 23-24, 2016. The family room that we booked are spacious, clean and pleasant ambiance. The food was also perfect. Of course, I wouldn't forget the friendly personnel they have especially the guard. It was a wonderful experience. =)

The place got some great reviews here, so i decided to check in when i was in subic.
This is a new japanese place, i was surprised with the room size and decided to upgrade to a room with a small veranda and couch that was pretty big with a 42 inch plasma tv and a very annoying remote control. Strong wifi signal, great aircon, decent bathroom with toiletteries (weak water presure), room safe and a nice sofa. They also have the smallest elevator ever made, it's like an attraction in itself! No pool, witch is a shame really, because you are not allowed to swim down at the beach.
Ground floor contains a japanese karaoke with pretty girls in tiny skirts and a restaurant. I just ate makis here, but they were good. Polite serviceminded staff did a good job when i was there.
Locationwise it is ok, it will take you a good five minutes walk to go to the harbour point shopping mall with nice shopping, atm machines, restaurants and movies. Walk the other way and you are standing at the beach in less than five minutes. Restaurants and dancing down here. I felt safe walking both places, the traffic is not that heavy and to the harbour point there was traffic police watching the crossing.
I think Grand Hoyah gives the rest of the hotels in subic something to think about, you really get your money's worth here even without a pool. My first choice if i go back to subic.

Folks, it's just simple......do not book this establishment or even consider it until after you have read this review. We booked here based upon the limited # of options available in Subic Bay, and the ratings and reviews listed here on tripadvisor. Well.......those reviews do not reflect the property we experienced at all.
First issue, check in was easy but indicative of a 1 or 2 star experience. Most questions were met with "no" or there's a fee. Finally, because the room had to be prepaid, the hotel/motel staff at the desk did very little to address our issues.
When we opened the door to the room, we were horrified to find a mattress on the floor, spiderwebs and cob webs on the curtain finnials and no top sheet on the beds. I immediately returned to the desk to have the floor mattress removed and asked for housekeeping to come to the room.
WE WERE CHARGED FOR A TOP SHEET TO BE ADDED TO THE BEDS. (Absolute failure)
Let's just say: the room was never cleaned to a reasonable standard and it remained a dreary experience from here on out.
In fact, we didn't even use the last two nights of our prepaid room. We moved to Kamana Sanctuary and Resort which immediately offered a 4000% better experience.
Advice:
Check Vista Marina or other properties on Waterfront Blvd or Kamana Sanctuary Resort or Acea.
Lessons learned:
NEVER book this property again.

Hi Luis,
I am not sure on the discount, but if you contact them directly, they may respond to your query. It would depend on the peak or high season.
