We had to extend another night in Olongapo and we decided to try this hotel inside the Freeport Zone. It was just an additional 400 a night from our previous accommodation outside the base yet it made all the difference. Breakfast was already included, tho we didnt get to try it bc we left early in the morning. The room was spacious enough and the staff was really nice, from the security guard to the front desk. We tried their resto and ordered yakisoba, beef dumpling soup and banana turon. It took quite a while before the food arrived but it was worth the wait. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Will difinitely stay here again for our next Subic vacay.
Out of town trip with my partner after a year of zero travel due to pandemic. It was a breath of fresh air away from the busy city and our quality time after being lockdown in Manila for a year. A standard accommodation. Staff are nice and friendly
Stayed for a work-related visit. It is a average hotel but service is commendable. Room is spacious enough. The analogue telephone adds a vintage feel to it. There is a restaurant at the ground floor that serves shabu-shabu and different types of cuisine. Tried a variety of bento sets. The serving size is huge but some parts of the menu tastes bland.
Clean functional business hotel with a friendly ghost in room 204 Breakfast is not much but friendly staff at the restaurant bring your own toiletries as they offer very little and cheap quality near Ayala Harbor Mall
Overseas friend were visiting manila. She planned a subic trip for our college gang. Grand Hoyah was chosen for its big rooms and delicious shabu shabu restaurant. PROS 1. Good bang for your buck ratio vs other budget hotels in SBMA. 2. Big room, big king bed (we chose the king deluxe room). Our friends had the family suite with 2 queen beds, a dining table for 4 and balcony. 3. Plated breakfast main course was filling and selection was decent. On the side was a buffet of vegetable greens, fruits, bread with butter and soup of the day. 4. Staff were smiling and ready to assist. 5. Shabu Shabu dinner in the resto was tasty but affordable. Could be improved: 1 A bit strict on towels. i asked for extra towel but was told that only 2 were allowed in our deluxe king room. But they gave in to my request for a new towel but i had to hand over the used one? 2. There is a staff counter on the 2nd floor elevator lobby with 2 personnel. It tends to get a bit noisy early in the morning if you are in a room just across or nearby. Suggest to train staff to observe hush conversations to not disturb guests. Overall, a practical base for a day or 2 in Subic. 10 min walking distance to Royal Subic Duty Free, Harborpoint Mall and the waterfront boardwalk.…
