The hotel facade looks like an ordinary office or even government building. Upon entering you are greeted by a hotel staff handing you a ginger bread cookie since their lobby theme is ginger bread house to celebrate the holiday season. We were led to our 3rd floor room through the carpeted stairs. I immediately asked the staff if they carry luggages all the way to the rooms & why there was no elevator. He said they have to carry the luggages to the rooms but there will be a ramp soon. The building is 3 storey only as I discovered soon.

I was impressed with the double king sized bed which didn't allow for any night lamps or bedside tables anymore. The bathroom was sparse but clean with only 2 basic towels & a few toiletries so you better bring your own or else you can request for it. You will need to return the used towel when requesting too since they will surely ask for it.

My niece immediately wanted to go swimming but we had to get some lunch. Too bad the japanese restaurant just beside the hotel was closed so we settled at the burger joint just right in front of it where I had my lunch salad. There is another newly opened restaurant across it which is convenient for short order meals or turo turo style.

My niece enjoyed the kiddie pool although small. The adult pool is elevated, about 8 steps higher from the ground.

Breakfast buffet varied during my 3 day stay there. I wanted more fruits but it seems limited to 2 choices only. I just hope they didn't have to charge the guest a microwave heating request for Php 50.

All in all it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is well kept & clean, even if you can judge by the room furnitures that it's one of the first few hotels that started operating in the Subic Bay area. It's in close proximity to practically everything, a carnival (which was on at that time), malls, restaurants, the bay area & bars.

For a business trip, we checks in on November 22,2014 in a double de luxe room.Though the carpeted floors are clean, it took us long walks along typical spacious corridors to go to our room.It has nice facilities but we havnt used the pool or the gym room. The room is clean and spacious however the bathroom was badly designed with doors abuting the lavatory. You can be easily disturbed in case of sudden opening of the door.Food is simple and i find nothing special to the palate.Generally, the hotel is fine. Rate: 7 out of 10.

I stayed in this hotel for a seminar and stayed for only a night. The hotel is big and is really meant for conventions and big events. In spite of the fact that there we were part of a big group (about 200), the staff were still able to give good, personal service like escorting us to our room. However, I will not really recommend it for a family since it is huge and kids can get lost by themselves and there is nothing for the kids except a very small pool. There are a lot of smaller hotels in Subic that are better for families with kids. The rooms are big enough, the bathroom was okay and amenities are sufficient. The location is walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I have to say I didnt plan to go to Subic, I was still bitter the US forces left hehehehe but I had no choice, I had to renew my advance life support training and Subic was next available venue. anyway, first of all I gave to say, what impressed me most was the hospitality of the people of Olangapo City! Not to mention the City Police, they are the most courteous and friendly police officers I have ever met! First, while looking for the Travellers Hotel, I accidentally made an illegal left turn, and a police officer pulled me over, I was sure he was going to confiscate my license, but he gave me a warning and said be careful! Second, I parked on the side of a road waiting for our dinner, the police officer approached me and I quickly told him I just 2 minutes and he said I will give you 10! Unbelievable, am I in the Philippines? Anyway, good job to the people of Olangapo! Thank you to the City Mayor! Travellers Hotel is the best, it was so clean, and all the staff were so friendly, always greeting you with a smile when you see them...

Conveniently located near shopping malls (SM and Harbor Point), restaurants, and cafes. We got the double deluxe room which can accommodate 4 people (one queen sized and 1 king sized beds) with free breakfast for two. Additional will cost 300 pesos each. Did not like the breakfast buffet menu though. Eating breakfast in one of the many restaurants or cafés around will be better (like Extremely Espresso) Room was well kept and clean, with cable TV, free wifi, fridge. Bathroom was with hot shower. The only thing is that they don’t have an elevator and parking was at open area. Nonetheless, a comfortable place to stay for a very affordable price.

Because I was late in reserving hotel accomodations for my family's Holy Week vacation, I had a difficult time doing it, but Subic Bay Traveler's Hotel made it so convinient for me. I had reserved 2 Double Deluxe Rooms with buffet breakfast. They gave me discounted rates for both nights we stayed at the hotel plus they told me we can already use the swimming pool facilities even hours prior to check-in. We arrived at 9am and was able to swim right away. My son had a blast.

One comment though, the Front Desk officer on duty during the night shift wasn't very accomodating on both nights we requested for minor services. We aksed for a match and he said they are encouraging a "No Smoking Policy. He could have answered with a "none" isntead. We still were able to smoke freely by the pool area. Also, we had late dinner (10PM) and requested for plates and utensils and he said that their restaurant is already closed. We talked to someone else instead and got what we asked for.

The buffet breakfast had enough choices. My son wasn't really part of the package (breakfast for two) but he was allowed to have some ceareals in milk and some juice. I thought that was pretty nice of them.

Overall, it was a good experience. I wouldn't say awesome yet, maybe next time we visit Subic, we'll surely stay in this hotel again, and maybe hope for an awesome experience then.

The venue has enough amenities to satisfy appropriate board and lodging for participants; WIFI-access in bedrooms and conference rooms; good size of conference room; food is just averagely filling but not so enticing; proximity to the bay front -- where the night life is; and shopping duty free items are fairly alot and accessible;

After cancelling my stay with another lousy hotel last 23rd of December, this hotel saved my weekend. It has a roomy and spacious room. Clean sheets and fresh towels. Though the shower area is a bit small. Needs improvement on the kind of breakfast served. Personnel are quite accomodating. Area is accessible to other restaurants and a walk away to the duty free shop and other establishments. Convenient parking space but needs improvement on the perimeter lights. Quiet and peaceful though surrounded by business establishments. I would say: "save by the hotel, coming from a hotel which smells like a funeral parlor!

I stayed here for 3 days due to work.

Pro:
1. TV channels was good. Got all the movie channel from hbo, star and max
2. Breakfast was good.
3. Room was spacious for double bed.
4. Staff was courteous, polite, cheerful and very helpful. Usually get this kind of treatment at 5-star hotel in my country.
5. Room service was good. Cleaned the room properly.
6. Near Meatplus restaurant, Atm and Freeport market. Souvenirs here was very expensive. Better buy them at stall 1&2, JLGA market and mall (pag-asa), olongapo city, 2200 philipines.
7. Taxi service was available. To get better deals on taxi, catch in front of meat plus restaurant.

Cons:
1. Price was expensive, 4000 peso/nite for 3 star hotel. For that price, I was expecting a 4-star hotel like novotel standards.
2. Free wifi only worked the 1st day. After that, could not worked. Complained but still did not work.
3. Air-conditioner did not have remote control. Got to call the desk to turn it off.
4. Hot water not functioning 100%. Somewhere like 20 %.
5. Found small insects on the bed when sleeping. I suspect bed bugs. 2nd nite was better. I think they changed the sheets and it was gone.
6. Room lighting very dark. Window facing dark side of hotel. So during the day, feel like it is at night.
7. Hotel had to call taxi and the rate could not be bargain much. No taxi waiting in front of hotel.

Overall, I recommend this hotel.
