Easy check-in. Rooms and premises fairly well-maintained. Breakfast spread not too extensive but everything tasted good. Located in a quiet area so a good night’s sleep is assured. Lots of restaurant options around the area as well. Overall a pleasant, relaxing stay.

Me & my partner decided to celebrate our 18th year by going to subic on the weekend. He found this interesting place to stay and honestly it’s a gem. Villas are all Bali inspired. Very spacious and very nice. Peaceful and so quiet. Loved it. Staff very nice and courteous. Their breakfast buffet, although the usual, was surprisingly good. All entries were delicious. Recommended. And will go back again here someday.

We do have a total of 2nights stay at this fascinating hotel, Me and my business investors checked in both for the Segara Villas & Segara suites. We came from New England and already experience different kinds of services to different hotels all around the world. I suggest all to try their hotel because they do have excellent services both in the customer care center and at their restaurant which they called Asian Spices Restaurant which served sumptous meal, unique blend of different spices and an astounding ambience that will surely will make you feel comfortable. It is good for weekend getaway because their location is far from the noisy clubs. One more thing that I've loved to their hotel is the breakfast order form that is being filled up before your breakfast in the morning. Their presentation and ways of service is as good as those 6 star hotels in Macau and England. One more thing that will surely make me go back to this hotel is their customer care center and their employees because they are concern on everything we have asked for. One more call at their counter and they will surely rushed the task that you will ask for them. Even though we came there early and check in time is 2pm the employees keep on checking with us and sometimes chat with us so that we won't feel bored.
All the villas were unique each one of them, My business investors liked all the villas since we fully booked their villas and room type. Every room has different personality, What I've loved most is LOVINA and SANUR.

We stayed in Segara Villas for 3 days and 2 nights, occupying 2 villas (one for my parents and one for my family). When we first got to Segara Villas to check in, the first thing the girl at the front desk told us is that we had to PAY IN FULL!!! And they we very rude and firm in this, saying that "THIS IS THEIR POLICY" Well, that's a stupid policy! Shouldn't hotels bill at the end of your stay? And don't they get your credit card number, so they have a guarantee? Well.. We were forced to pay in FULL, because they wouldn't allow us to stay if we didn't. They treat their guests like they cannot pay or they don't trust you to complete your stay with them, that's why they want you to pay up front. They are very desperate for money. When they run their business it's like they are too small time!

Second thing was, the welcome drinks were not enough for everyone in the group! We asked for more, and they said YES, but the drinks never came! it turns out that they only give 2 drinks per room! Even if the room allows 4 adults to stay in. Talk about making their guests feel UNWELCOMED!!

Next, their FRONT DESK PEOPLE are very rude and unfriendly.... When you run a hotel, it's supposed to be hospitality-centered. You are supposed to make your guests feel welcome, but that was not what happened. You'll just feel irritated with your stay with them.
And lastly, their airconditioners are positioned in front of the bed and the cold air hits your face! So, you won't be able to sleep properly unless you get a cold or worse, you get sick!!

This Segara Villas charge 8k a night. With their rates, they are trying to be a 5-star hotel in Manila like the Shangr-La (which we have stayed in and has excellent service), but honestly, THEY ARE NOT QUITE THERE!

So, I would just recommend to BOOK ELSEWHERE in Subic! THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS, if they treat their guests like TRASH! Their MANAGERS and STAFF SHOULD BE TRAINED AGAIN and their VILLAS re-designed!!!!

I always read the Trip Advisor ratings and comments before booking any hotel anywhere around the world. My family and I decided to stay here because of the reviews but I was disappointed mainly with the service. We were a family of 16 and stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was a mess every morning in spite of filling out the breakfast forms the night before. We were expected to show up at a certain time but we also had to wait for 20 minutes for food or coffee to come. We had to remind the servers of our requests several times. Checkout was also quite frustrating and confusing. The billing was not accurate. The hotel was not full so I can't understand how they would handle a big group or a full capacity at the resort.

On the other side, the furnishings and rooms were nicely and tastefully decorated. There was plenty of space in each room. Pillow and spa options were a big plus. Food quality was better than average. Pool was clean but towels had to be requested. They need a staff to be there full time when guests are swimming.

One person who gave commendable service is Star. She was very helpful even during the early morning hours. She always had a smile and pleasant disposition even if she was alone at the front desk.

I travel all over the world so I know how to give a fair rating in comparison to other 4-5 star resorts. Segara SHOULD TRAIN their staff to be of better service so they keep their clientele and upgrade their standards to be at par with other resorts world wide. I would like to promote Philippine tourism so I give constructive comments that will improve the tourism industry and individual establishments.

The place was quite nice, reminding me of the resorts I've been to in Thailand.

We booked a room through their website and upon checking in, we were required to pay in full. Most hotels in the country will ask guest to PAY UPON CHECKING OUT. They also strictly implement the headcount - 1 person, 1 bed, regardless of kids. Since we were in a hurry to relax, we paid via credit card and set out to grab some lunch. A lot of small events transpired over the first day.

Needless to say, our stay was marred by the front desk receptionist IVY for the following reasons:
1. Dishonest - Ivy did not inform us that they charged a different rate in our credit card - she did not honor the rates in their website saying that the website is not updated (Is it our burden if they did not update their website?) and welcome drinks were not even served
2. Overcharging - suites allow a maximum of 3 adults and yet she made sure that there is a bed per person regardless of kids, making the room very crowded **we heard (we will not disclose names) that Ivy has been reported several times to be very rude to customers and overcharges headcount.

Fortunately for her, the other staff were helpful and kind.

To the manager of Segara Suites - I would have loved to go back to stay, the place is nice and very relaxing, but your front desk Ivy is enough to make us run away - please "train" her.

We stayed overnight at segara double deluxe room last oct 31-nov. 1, we are not expecting so much from this hotel since it has limited reviews from this website but the suite exceeded our expectations! the room is big enough to accommodate more than 4 people. the comfort room is clean with huge mirror! comfy bed & pillow that will make you sleep more! carpets are new & everything is clean! but i must suggest that when you book, indicate the exact numbers of persons that will stay since the rack price is just good for two and have to add 1,200 for any additional person. will definitely will comeback and experience segara! bdw still wondering what segara means?????

The Segara Villas Hotel and the Segara Suites Hotel are two sister hotels together - the 'suites' are in a seperate building to the detached 'villas'. The 'suites' sell for around US$125 per night and the villas for more than double that.

The 'suites' are nice large clean and confortable standard rooms with all one would expect from a top notch hotel. We rented two villas as it was a wedding anniversary - one for my wife and I and one for the inlaws. These villas are expensive but quite spectacular - ours was a duplex with bed and bath up, living room down. The only problems were that night-time turn down did not include tidying the bathroom and the wireless internet was next to useless - one expects better at this price. Otherwise the rooms were really great.

The food is marvellous but there is only one restaurant and this and the other facilities - the bar and the pool are are shared by both 'suites' and 'villas' guests. This is no problem if the hotel is quiet like it was during our stay but I can envisage congestion when it gets busy (which I am sure it might sometimes do).

One thing - this hotel is at the quiet end of the Olongapo Waterfront Road- the opposite end to the noisy and boisterous Lighthouse Hotel - stay at the Segara if you want peace and quiet only - it is really dead at the Segara end of the street.

There is no business centre or gym so there is not a lot to do in the hotel itself - you would have to go out to get your entertainment.

Oh yes - and a couple of the reception staff could do with some cordiality/helpfulness training - most are ok - just a couple of them are not up to scratch. Other staff in the rooms and restaurant are really friendly and efficient.

All in all a good, if a trifle expensive, place to stay.

It is a pity that the beautifully furnished villas with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and good food were not equally matched by their service. 1) The free 30 min-foot or hand massage was to be availed of only at 2-5pm. That forces the guests to be at their place during that time and causes inconvenience. 2) My daughter, who stayed at another villa opted to give me their free 30-min massage but the front desk staff responded that it is not allowed ! Why not ! 3) My Jimbaran booking was for 3 adults. Breakfast meals were delivered late and only for 2 persons. Staff confirmed that a 3rd breakfast food will be delivered but was not done. After long wait, I got a call and wanted me to confirm that the 3rd food will be charged. Why ! My booking clearly stated that it should be free. Nevertheless, it was delivered only after an hour ! 4) Breakfast coffee was served in a pot but no cups were given. 5) Upon check-out, I was being billed of a room service when the attached document didn't have any signature of my daughter's family. Note: All 3 villas were named under my name only. 6) The 2 villas occupied by my 2 daughters and their family didn't have Wi-fi which is contrary to supposedly free wi-fi. 7) Use of swimming pool starts only at 9am. That prevents guests who are into early swimming to avoid too much sunlight.

Will not recommend nor stay again there.

The hotel is located along waterfront road, but away from the busy beachfront establishments of Subic. So one can still enjoy subic's nightlife and retreat back less than five minutes away to a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at Segara Suites and Villas.

Segara Villas and Segara Suites have different lobbies but is located within the same complex sharing the same infinity pool and the Asian Spice Restaurant. I stayed in one of the suites with my wife and one year old son and we enjoyed the elegantly designed rooms with a spacious bathroom.

The comfortable soft pillows and the king size bed gave us a good sleep.

The front desk staff, security guards, bell boys, or any staff you bump into are all courteous, helpful, and friendly.

My only concern at this hotel was a safety incident wherein there was an electrical explosion (yes, as in with a loud bang, spark, and foul smell) inside the bathroom while i was bathing my 1 year old child.

I first reported that the water heater was broke and they sent a personnel who fixed it. The explosion happened after this. It turned out that this personnel wasn't from maintenance.

I asked for the hotel manager to verify if they do regular inspection of electrical outlets nor why wasn't a maintenance man was sent to our room when i first reported that the water heater wasn't working. The manager's reply - "no maintenance personnel was on duty".

I understand that such incidents can happen at any hotel - five star or not but to know that there was no maintenance personnel on duty is just NOT acceptable. I would have rated this hotel as Very Good but since equipment maintenance nor hotel safety for guests is in question, i will rate them as Poor.
