Camayan Beach Resort is frequently celebrated for its serene vibe and themed ambiance. Praised for its spacious and immaculate rooms, guests also laud the attentive and friendly service. Though the rooms offer ample space, some visitors suggest that a refresh is due as they appear outdated and dimly lit. The resort's amenities, such as diverse dining options and the picturesque beach, receive applause, but guests note there's room for minor enhancements. The resort's location is a highlight, offering an ideal beachfront setting that complements its culinary offerings. Travelers generally consider the pricing fair, though opinions on value vary.

Just returned from an overnight stay, the place is less than perfect. The staff at the “Reef” are all very friendly and helpful except for one elderly gentleman that is having a rough time trying to cope. The manager says the gentleman is two years away from retirement so they do not want to get rid of him. Move him somewhere away from the guest.

Paper cups, they will not let take the glasses to the beach, understandly, offer souvenir cups then, drinks from paper cups are horrible.

PWD PARKING, there is not enough spaces or the wrong people are parking. We had individual in our party requiring a wheelchair, and had to park in the middle of the lot. That is just wrong.

The room was not bad only concern was the security latch was broken going to the patio . Room 3107.

They are trying to upgrade the facilities, hope it helps.

A bit on the 'expensive' side for what they can offer. Their deluxe rooms can accommodate 4 adults, but the Php 7k++ amount only covers 2 guests. You have to pay an additional Php 1.5k for each person/adult but the breakfast is included. Upon check in, the front desk gave me the wrong keycard. Have to go 3 floors down using the stairs back and forth. Our room has no cable signal. We had to request to get it fixed, but it was resolved in almost an hour.

On the good side, the restaurant serves good food and the staff were all courteous and attentive. Can't complain about the price since the food was really good. Nothing special about the breakfast buffet but there is a lot of choices to choose from.

Beach is good for casual swimming and snorkeling. It was clean when we visited and there is a lifeguard on duty. The swimming pool has a lifeguard as well, the water was clean and warm tucked in the shade of trees surrounding it.

The room and bathroom are spacious but very basic. There is no mini fridge. The bed is comfy but the pillows were soo thin. If you are a group of 4 in a deluxe room then you'll have 1 thin pillow per person. Room was a bit dim. Resort surroundings need a good repaint and decent gardening. It looks beat up and dated to look at.

The resort is steps away from Ocean Adventure. They also offer water activities. If you can stretch your budget a little bit then try Kamana or Acea instead, yes they are more expensive than Camayan but youll feel that you get your money's worth more.

Pros:
1. Very friendly staff. No doubt about it. From the reception down to the restaurant, everyone's accommodating and courteous.

2. While booking, there's a field in their form where you can state if there is a special occasion ehy you're traveling to their resort. Without expecting anything, I noted that it's our anniversary. Surprisingly, without added cost, we got to the room with a simple balloon set up that comes with a greeting card. Truly appreciate this. ❤️

3. Life guards are always on deck. At least during our stay so we really felt safe considering we were swimming with a child.

4. They noted my request to conjoin the 2 beds. We're happy that our room was ready upon our arrival as requested.

5. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Cons:
1. One of the 2 queen sized beds was squeaking loudly. Every small movement entails an annoyinh squeaking sound. Since we were with a 1-year old, we had a hard time sleeping because she keeps on waking up everytime someone from the other bed moves even a bit. In the end, we decided to squeeze the 3 of us in one queen sized bed. Mind you, we're only 2 adults but we're not of regular built so imagine the discomfort. We slept so late and, as consequence, woke up late as well. We didn't get to enjoy a relaxed breakfast and swimming time since we're rushing. We requested for a late check out but they can only extend 30mins. which I understand because there will be people who will check in after us.

2. The floors were dusty even when we got there. You can't walk around barefoot and jump in the bed without having to dust off your feet first. Actually, you can't walk barefoot at all anywhere inside the room. Period.

3. For some weird reason, there were scotch tapes on the ceiling. I seriously don't know what they were for.

At PHP5000 per meal for family of 9, save yourself the trouble of ordering the confused kare-kare. It’s so sweet it can pass for a savory dessert. Am I an entree or dessert? ( said kare-kare). The chicken satay skewers did not fare any better either. They were rubbery room temperature like it was cooked the night before and reheated for lunch straight from the fridge. Who will bother to drive out for a meal when you only have 2 nights to enjoy the water? Other than that it was cool. We had fun. We had 3 rooms on the first floor, the beach was just past the huts from our room. Staff was friendly. Not a bad place for a quick relaxation just 3 hours drive from Quezon City. I will come back but will wait for the price drop. I heard it’s almost half the price I paid for today. Sheets were worn but clean and the lights were dim. Still the staff is friendly and it just makes for a nice stay. Enjoy!

My wife and I had a great stay at Camayan Beach Resort Feb 5-8, 2020. It started with great customer service from Annette who gave us a senior discount when we booked the reservation. When we arrived at Camayan, we were helped by Maurice who carried our belongings to our room and was very much a gentleman. He was very engaging and loved to speak in Tagalog with me. He made us feel like family. The staff at the restaurant were extremely hospitable. Ads, Ries, April, and Leo went out of there way to accommodate us during the first shift. I especially enjoyed the ice coffees Ries and April made for me. Ads was like a brother to me. I loved visiting with him. The second and/or mid shift blessed us with Anne, Cassie, Ynung, and Kat all of whom were very kind and professional at the restaurant. The front desk with Joje, Verna and Bernadeth were extremely helpful. They even watched my personal bag while i snorkelled in the ocean. The danger of mentioning the names of CB workers is that i might leave someone out. But i must say that everyone here including house keeping, maintenance, life guards, cooks, etc., were all extremely kind and heloful. This is a must stay resort for those who love the beach and enjoy being treated like family. Did i mention that this was our second visit to Camayan in three weeks? We enjoyed our first visit so much at the end of January that we came back again before moving back to the USA. This by far has been our favorite resort in the Philippines the last nesrly 6 years we have lived here!

Day trip did not take the whole day to get disappointed. The precious feedback are all true. If you have no choice for a beach swin, don't swin at all. You are forced to rent a table or a cabana aside from a very, very pricey entrance fee per person of P500. Cabanasp costs 2,000. The beach is not encouraging either as there were rocks, corals, and kelps all over the beach. Shower and wash rooms are delapidated with some shower heads not working. The day pass does not justify the maintenance efforts. Untidy and gross are 2 adjectives that best describe this place.

너무 최악의 경험을 한 후에 이렇게 글을 올려봅니다. F&B 직원들은 이래서 명찰도 안 달고 일을 하는 것 같습니다. 이런 최악의 서비스를 경험하기도 참 힘든데 말이죠 !

I've been residing in the Philippines quite long time and this is my first ever resort that majority of employees are racist.

When we arrived at the resort, the front desk staffs were perfect. I got comfort and prompt service from front desk staff 'Joje'

at the evening bar staff 'John' was very friendly but most of F&B staffs were terrible. the dinner was not the worst but the breakfast was the worst experience. even later commers were served first and all the servers try to ignore us as if we are invisible. all the requests were ignored also.

I really pity Room's division and back of the house staffs since they are doing great but their co-workers are the least qualified F&B staffs.

I bet they would not try to fix their problems and ignore all this otherwise they had been improved long before when served other customers back in the past.

What more can I say it’s just.... too much bad experiences from the F&B staffs

Our children had the pleasure of going on a long trip and a staycation for their 7th birthday. We enjoyed the cozy room, just as much as we had fun exploring outside and doing nearby activities. They don't have an elevator, so people who are booking their stay should keep that in mind when requesting for rooms. The Reef (their in-house restaurant), offers a wide variety of food on the menu. There will surely be something in there for everyone's preferences. Breakfast buffet serves all the essentials that tourists will need to start their day. Shout out to their head waiter, Mr. Edwin who was tirelessly going around the buffet tables and making sure that trays are refilled, and tables are tidied up. Thanks to Robert who waited on our table during our 2 nights dinner. Special thanks to Kate, Kristal, Tina, Teresa and Kuya Tolights for their special birthday treat for our twins. The yema almond cake they gave us was scrumptious. And Kuya Tolights was meticulous enough to notice that my son's dining chair was wobbly, and had it replaced right away. It takes experience and a trained eye to spot something like that, amidst the hustle and bustle of breakfast service. Worth recommending, and worth coming back to... when our budget permits. Thank you, Camayan.

We’ve checked in on this resort on perhaps 8 occasions, the latest of which was our class reunion last Thursday (April 28 2022) & Friday (April 29, 2022.) The fact that my wife & I kept coming back sometimes taking our guests from abroad with us & recommending this facility as venue for our reunion speaks enough of how we like the place. It has its flaws like the too high a bath tub in the deluxe rooms but this inconvenience (which we have addressed) is pretty much nil compared to the overall ambiance the resort provides. We’ve tried the way way more expensive resort in the area but this one’s better. For party celebrations, it has two function rooms which can comfortably accommodate 36 guests leaving enough space for a band & dance floor. We always prefer to stay in their deluxe rooms since the back door is a few steps from the swimming pool & is a few yards from their restaurant. I empathize with others who have had bad experience in their stay but so far I have none. For group bookings, course it to Ms Edda Gracchia Gamolo, Sr Sales Account Manager, Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium, Inc. Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed based on our recent reunion experience with 36 attendees that she facilitated. And if ever you need an emcee to perk up your party in Subic, check out Ms Charm Burdette. Needing little coaching even at a moment’s notice or just before the start of your program, this professional witty pretty face (with her ad-libs) will set your event rolling.

We spent a week here in 2018 and this was one of the best resorts that we had been to and our #1 place to come to the Philippines, the water features were beautiful. Now in Jan 2023 we returned for a 5 day stay, finding the place run down, water features without water and full of trash and one of the worst places, we actually only stayed two nights, forfeiting two day, no refunds. Two Stars maybe generous.
The employees stated that Covid had caused the resort to close and management hadn’t put the money back into the resort to maintain it. Breakfast was included with the room. In 2018 there were eggs to order, and all of they different fruits and meats that you could find in the Philippines, absolutely wonderful. Now they had scrambled eggs, corn beef hash, no bacon, sausage or tocino, and watermelon for the fruit. The rooms were clean, but only had one roll of tissue and two bottles of water and instant coffees. If you needed more than that you had to request it. We had three people in one room and paid extra for the third person and still had to request anything above the bare minimum. This is suppose to be a Five Star resort!
We were truly disappointed and will not stay here again.
