Overall a positive experience. The rooms are small but well organised, I recommend taking the king size bed. The bathroom consists of a toilet and shower while the sink is located inside the room, a little uncomfortable but you get used to it. We had the room on the top, tenth floor, very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is basic, practically all sweet except for some bagels stuffed with cheese. Absolutely positive experience. The room was given to us in advance of the check-in time. The room is not very large but well structured and equipped with all amenities (possibility of making coffee and kettle). The rooms are restored every day and are very clean. In the room there are plenty of sockets and usb ports. The property offers free sparkling and still water for the duration of the holiday, which is no small thing. The breakfast, offered by the property, is not bad at all! In the evening there is the opportunity to dine in the structure and also listen to music. Metto is a two-minute walk from the hotel and in about ten minutes leads to Time Square. Great choice for sightseeing

We didn't know what to expect when making our reservation and we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! From the added safety features for the hotel, to the on tap sparkiing and still water in the lobby, every little detail was addressed. While the room was compact, the design of the room made it easy to hang up our clothes, store personal belongings in the safe, and even had a tiny fridge! The staff were always friendly and respectful - remembering my name over the course of three days. I would absolutely stay there again if traveling to the area!

Room was NYC small but adequate. The frosted glass standing shower was right next to the bed with a small nightstand/shelf between them. There is NO work desk in any of the rooms. There is NO chair and only a stool. Not a place for a business traveler (IMO), there is zero space for a laptop and a notebook and/or mouse to be on the same surface. The front desk suggested using the conference room if I needed desk space. I shouldn't have to leave my room to work in a meeting room next to a noisy bar. I used the still and sparkling water filling station by the elevator quite a bit.
The room was clean and bug free. I saw one roach on the bar where continental breakfast is served and that was the end of free breakfast for me.
The location is 1 block away from the 4 & 5 trains for easy access into the city. If you are a tourist, this hotel would work just fine. If you are a business traveler and need a workspace inside your room, this is not the place. If there would have been some way to work in the room, I would have rated 4 stars overall.

We booked this hotel due to the fact it was 1/3rd of the price of all other hotels between Christmas and new year. This hotel is in the bronx but barely. If you get the express 4 or 5 line subway it will take you 15 mins to get there from grand central. Then it is a 2 minute walk from the station. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check in. We stayed on the 10th floor with a king bed. The rooms aren’t huge (space down the far side of the bed is just big enough to walk down), but well laid out and well finished. Our sink was in the room and the bathroom is made of slightly opaque glass (small toiletries were provided). If you are going with a friend make sure you are comfortable with each other! We were opposite the lift but couldn’t hear too much from there (there are only 10 rooms on that floor). Some rooms face Manhattan but you can’t see much from there. Most rooms overlook the railway lines so bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper but it didn’t bother us. The water refill station for still and sparkling water is a great addition so bring your own bottles (or reception can give you one). The Complimentary breakfast with Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, pasties, muffins and bagels was a nice added bonus. The hotel was literally in the middle of buildings with graffiti all over them up and down the entire neighborhood on a street that did not look safe. The free breakfast consisted of bagels/toast, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and coffee. The room was tiny - basically a closet with a bathroom that had all glass frosted glass walls (weird) with the shower wall (again with frosted glass) next to the bed. (Better stay with someone intimate and not just friends.) THe hallways were a dark dark purple color (creepy vibe) and the beds were small. Overpriced and, in my opinion, not safe. I will not be staying there again. At best it's comparable to a holiday inn at around $50 a night (it was the size of a closet) but I paid over $300. Oh, and parking next door is an additional $35 a night.

Pros Room size was good, coffee making facilities and min fridge in room is good addition. Several power sockets with USB charging ports available next to beds, even the bunk bed. Sink located in main room next to coffee maker and fridge was very convenient, as you can take shower or use toilet while sink is available for others. Storage space under the bed and rack for luggage. Blackout curtains. Free water dispenser for still and sparkling water in lobby area, next to the elevators. Free luggage storage. Subway station was one minute walk away from hotel (trains 4 and 5), you can get to Grand Central terminal within 20 minutes. Nearby Dollar Tree has some food and snacks and is open until 10pm. Overall good room for affordable price.
Cons Breakfast was very basic, not very continental as advertised. Yoghurt, cereals, bagels, cream cheese, waffles, cup of mandarin slices, coffee and two juices. No warm foods, except microwaveable JimmyDean (egg,cheese,sausage) croissants. Seating at breakfast area was sometimes limited. Very loud music coming the breakfast/restaurant area from fri - sun, restaurant is used for hosting parties etc. We had some problems with the housekeeping, one day the room was not cleaned at all, sometimes bath towels were missing completely (3 times of 8 night visit we had to ask towels from the reception). For most of the days the bunk bed wasn't made at all even though lower queen bed was made, one day blanket was missing. Hotel surroundings are a bit dodgy after dark to walk alone, however you can the subway to 138-st station safely before midnight and walk to hotel.

SafetyHas a safety elevator system: you have to use your room card key in order to use elevator to go to your floor. Does not allows to visit other floors. That' an Awesome safety feature! WalkabilityThe Subway entrance is at walking distance, less than 2 minutes away. You can visit anywhere using the subway system. Once you are in subway you can scan your credit card to entrance the subway. Do not need to purcase a "paper" metro card. Using the subway and express bus system, We went to New Jersey. We also visited the upper and lower Manhattan, as well as, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. Food & drinksRosas, the restaurant offers continental breakfast that may include: eggs, butter, honey, cream cheese, waffles, bread, muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, orange juice, water, apple juice, yogurt, cereal, apple and oranges. Noteworthy detailsThe hotel includes a terrace. Has parking for a fee. There was a party on the first floor and there was no noise in our room. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I took my 2 teens on a short vacation to the city. The room was perfect, clean and quiet. The interior of the property was clean. The exterior was littered each day- from the previous night's activities-- which could have been easily cleaned up every morning. We had the best front-desk host, who made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Steps from the subway. Amazing food nearby. Cool shops nearby. We loved the free filtered water (both still and carbonated) in the lobby- which comes with a thick glass bottle to refill (you return at the end of your stay). Continental breakfast was good. Valet parking on site. Nice little gym on site.

As a woman traveling alone, this hotel was great - right near the metro - I never felt uncomfortable, even when I later took the metro home. The bagels toasted with cream cheese in the morning were really delicious! At the supermarket around the corner you can buy pre-cut fruit and vegetables and make breakfast a little healthier. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I thought it was brilliant that you could fill up drinking water for free at a special station. There were also enough power sockets (the whole room was full), as well as USB ports that you could use to charge without needing an American power socket converter.
