The Hotsprings were to die for and the service was great. For a family of 3 with a young child, get the room in front of the pool- Bamboo Deluxe, or you could get the cheapest just behind it. The extra bed we had for the Bamboo Suite was a bunk bed and was a bit expensive. Not sure why they wanted extra charge for a child when four people can fit in the room.

Unfortunately, it’s not senior friendly. We loved eating at the Filipino restaurant but wished there was a golf cart to take the seniors as it was a bit far. It would also have been great for the entire family to eat at the Korean Restaurant but it was located at the top with no senior access (no ramp, or elevator) so we had to eat separately at the cabanas below. It was a bit noisy as you can hear videoke nearby. Not sure if it was another resort or theirs. The gift shop needs an up do as well.

Definitely get the spa and be really friendly so you get some freebies. But of course, tip well.

Overall great view, you are literally at the foot of Makiling, or some great mountain. A great relaxation that’s just near Manila. Great for kids and the whole fam. If you’re from the area or within Manila, a Day Tour would be great and worth it.

Spent a couple of days in the hot spring resort in Batangas in Philippines.

First up great pools and many of them .. I was wondering it’s called 88 because they have 88 pools .. will count it next time 😜. Love the temperature gradience across multiple pools and very relaxing. If you get here plan only to be out in the pool.. literally. As the rooms discourage you so much you want to be in pools and not get to rooms ..

Room standards are mediocre and pedestrians, lights don’t work. Bed steads are short and your feet hangs out if you aren’t even 6 foot .. makes you feel tall.. kind of. Towels are clean but were torn etc. The toilets or bathrooms are small and you just can’t place your toiletries in there as the ledge is so small and small mirror etc. anyway enough griping, may be it’s the property’s idea to get you to their best .. the pools .. some part of pools were not allowed past 11 PM if you want some private times.

Great people serving and very swiftly.

Not sure why they can’t serve just beers near pools.

But the 24/7 ish bar upstairs is amazing .. good place to hangout for shots ..

I will definitely get there again for sure moderating expectations on trying to be indoors

Most of the hot spring resorts in Laguna require you to rent by groups of 20 pax or more, costing an average of P25k per nite. Only a handful allow Day Tours for small groups of 2 to 5pax and 88 Hot Spring Resort is one of them. They charge an average of USD25 per head for a Day Tour, allowing u to use all the facilities in the resort except the rooms with beds. Open cottages for eating and unloading your baggage are free. The restaurant offers a wide selection of Korean dishes and only about 5 Filipino dishes. The resort is big and beautiful with well manicured gardens and clean as well. Like I said, the place is ideal for us because we only wanted a Day Tour. We did try staying a nite on another occasion but found the rooms a little below standards for the price. I must say the rooms are spacious, but too plain and the en suite toliet facilities are not so clean and are already showing signs of age. The bed mattresses are also rather stiff and uncomfortable. The staff by the way are very friendly and are most eager to help clients to make their stay a pleasant one.

Hostping water pools are good. Needs major improvement on rooms though. They are very old already. They do not pass good quality for real. Pillow and blanket smells bad, kulob smell. Standard room costs 4,600 per night, but actual quality looks 1,500 pesos only. Door knobs on room entrance is very hard to handle, plus the actual door needs replacement. The bathroom and toilet are the worst. Fixtures need replacement. Parang nasa horror flick.

1. Accommodation we stayed in is not even the cheapest one but it is so terrible! The mattresses are soooo hard! You won't get a good night's sleep!
2. The aircon is so noisy and even turned off by itself in the middle of the night. We got scared that it won't turn on anymore. Fortunately, it did.
3. Breakfast choices are also terrible: hotdog, corned or spicy bulgogi. Not much choices!! They also claim to have fruit juice but it's just some powdered juice with lots of sugar!
4. They won't give you towels when you check in. You have to even request them to give you! Isn't this a given?
While the facilities are well maintained, the accommodation is so bad!

My family went to a day trip to this resort. We were supposed to stay overnight but they were fully booked. The resort boasts an impressive number of swimming pools ensuring that we had plenty of options for cooling off and enjoying the water. We specifically enjoyed the jacuzzi with different temperature.

The food in the resort's restaurant were good. We indulged in a delicious meal that satisfied our taste buds and left us feeling content. The menu offered a variety of options ensuring that there was something for everyone.

However, our excitement dropped when we decided to treat ourselves to a massage at the resort's spa. While the massage itself was satisfactory, we were taken aback by the therapists' behavior. They were demanding tips, which we planned to give, but we didn't expect them to ask for it so directly. The insistence felt unnecessary and slightly off-putting. It made us feel uncomfortable.

Our go-to resort whenever me and my friends want to distress! We usually meet here every quarter or 4 times a year! Haha! The area is sooo huge and they have around 10 or more swimming pools and all are filled with natural mineral spring water which we love the most about this resort. Our favorite pools are the main pool, the one in front of the spa, and their temperature pool.

They also offer the best massage! But make sure to book in advance because they are fully booked most of the time.

We also love the newly opened restaurant in the area, Ihawan Garden. Also the snacks offered near the main pool! As for the breakfast, they recently made it in a buffet style but with the same selections (better than before tho).

The downside is that their rooms are old and needs renovation. And since it is a Korean owned property, the beds are kinda firm.

But we really love their pools, so we will keep on coming back! 🫰🏻

Pricey. Breakfast needs to be better. Nice hot tubs with different temperatures. Kimchi not hot no spice to it at all. They have an adult waterside with new hottubs being built. Seafood restaurant nice really enjoyed the lamb. Have a cold waterfall that nice to go to.

What you need to know beforehand: This resort is under korean management.

So expect korean food in the restaurant. And mattresses that feel like a wooden board with a towel on top.

The facilities are nice, speaking of the pools. Especially the 43 degrees hot tubs are awesome for deep muscle relaxation.
I also had a really good Shiatsu massage at their massage facility.

The cottages are so-so. Not really new, not well maintained.

The view is breathtaking.

Downsides:
Awfully loud music from the restaurant. Live Band, whatever. This really destroyed the serenity of this place.
Oh, and the beds. Holy cow, I'm a camper. Used to thin mattresses and sleeping outdoors.
But this was a completely new level. It was like a stiff wooden board with a thin blanket on top. My whole body was stiff and aching in the morning, the relaxing effects of the Shiatsu massage were gone.

It'd be quite nice, if they'd work on the music and the beds.

We will not come back and also not recommend this resort.
We will rather look for alternatives for the next overnight.

Thank you for reading. If you think you got something out of this review, please give it a like.

Stayed here jan 1 2020. The hot spring is ok facilities are not. Old and not maintained the fact they charge high for accomoodation. The room interiors are falling apart and dirty. The restaurant is so so so so so basic but they charge very high 😠. Definitely i will not come back for sure there are other better resorts that has good ambience.

And before i forget their bed is as hard as wood
