We checked in at this hotel at the last minute, and thankfully there was still an available room despite the fact that it was peak season (Holy Week). The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean, the food in the cafe was great and there was a small swimming pool. The price was well worth it. The building itself already looks dated but this was not really a problem for us. The staff was also polite na very helpful. Will stay again.
I stayed at this Hotel for a total of 30 nights, room service is good, the bed was fine and the staff were very helpful. I felt at home, all my needs were catered for and their local knowledge was excellent. I will be happy to stay here on my next visit to the Philippines, the Buena Casa Hotel is excellent and very good value for money
I always felt like going home to my grandparents place everytime we stay in this hotel. The place is clean and with the a homey ambiance of the lobby. The rooms are spacious with comfy bed and beddings that were soft, clean and smells nice. Staff were friendly and helpful too. We like its location, infront of the Waterfront park and waterfront road where we get to take our morning and night walks. It's near San Roque church where we hear mass on a Sunday and near restos too like Xtremely Xpresso and Meatplus Cafe, convenience stores like Ministop and 711.
Spent a night at room 310. Its a clean room with a rather small terrace, bed are surprizingly soft with a cozy comforters, & clean baths. They have swimming pool which is open up til 9pm, I suggest go for a night swim. Our room includes a complementary breakfast, menu is abit boring not alot to choose from. If you're into chic victorian style of muebles, you can hang out at the lobby area for a self ready back ground. All in all it was a good stay.
We have been here a couple times. It's a nice go-to place when we suddenly spend an unplanned night at Subic. It's clean and cozy. The interior design is quite confusing because you don't even know what look it is trying to achieve. Staff are friendly and approachable. Pool is it's weakest point. I did not even dare get into the pool and that's saying a lot because I really love to swim.
Rooms are bigger than expected and quite cozy. There's a problem though in their water heaters; I booked two rooms and both heaters didn't work. My heater was fixed eventually but the other room wasn't so lucky so they have to use the bathroom in another room. Overall though, it's still a great cozy little hotel.
We visited the hotel on a business trip and stayed there for 2 nights on one of their rooms on the first floor. The hotel rate is affordable, the room is clean with 2 complimentary bottled water daily but has no coffee and heater amenity. The room is not sound proof and you hear other guests talking in the hallway. The building looks old and some of the facilities were outdated. They have a simple restaurant which serves good breakfast. Wifi connection is intermittent.
My review of Buena Casa could be summarized in three adjectives -- affordable, accessible, and relaxing. Buena Casa's published rates are affordable for a family that wants to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet still enjoy its convenience. Located along Betty Lane Street, Buena Casa is only under one kilometer away from Subic's restaurants and Olongapo. In fact, within its 300-meter radius, there are 2 24/7 convenience stores, coffee shops, and restaurants, including Yellow Cab. It is relaxing because the next street is the Waterfront Street that sits along the sandy shoreline of Subic Bay. It offers an excellent view for a morning or afternoon stroll. Bonus: It is only a few meters away from the Spanish Gate or the Old West Gate that originally led to the now gone Spanish naval station in Subic. The NHC left its marker there in 2013 to memorialize the structure's significance. …
Evidently renovated old building, with mediocre appointments and facilities. Good location though, easily accessible to the waterfront area of Subic Freeport beach restaurants. Parking is limited, pool is cramped and uninteresting. Staff are quite friendly and nice though.
We stayed here 3/3/16 and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the rates were and how friendly the staff are. Although we only stayed a single night they treated us like we had been there for weeks. The room was clean and sufficient for your needs. We did however have no internet when we should have but going to the lobby wasnt a big deal for access. We will come back again and upgrade our room so we are overseeing the parklands below which faces onto the beach. Everything is within walking distance and it feels safe. Nice clean hotel in a quite area unlike some of the other motels that you can hear the bands playing from your room.
