Fabulous gem in the PI. The staff was very attentive and always had a smile on their faces. We spent a lot of time at The Barefoot Bar, excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. The live band every evening was a treat. The rooms were clean and spacious. We will definitely stay here again!

Very good weekend getaway , short driving distance fromTarlac, and not too far from Manila. There were some minor issues re the room, it was easily corrected. Pool was nice and clean, and their resto by the beach, was quite impessiv, serving the best steak in the phil. I gave 5 stars, because of the service, the mgr mr George Lazarus provided for me. I forgot my ipad charger in the room. He found it and sent it to me thru LBC, FREE OF CHARGE. We are planning to go back again this summer. Highly recomended, the honest hotel of Subic.

I am a frequent traveller, and travel to the Subic Bay area often on business. This is the nicest hotle in the area. It has a great swimming pool and bar area, a beachside bar, and the only air conditioned bar in Baloy Long Beach. Food is excellent and the menu has a great variety. Staff is always friendly. Some of the Rooms could use an update, but they are all clean. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Having used the Wild Orchid as my only place to access an ATM over Christmas I had some familiarity eith the place already.

Our family consisted of myself & wife in one room with mum/parnet/family freind and our shared 3 young kids in the other room. Both rooms being beachside room over looking the lawn then Baloy Beach.

Personally I love this part of PI. It's familiar, nice, pretty and comfortable. The locals are friendly and a few even remembered me from my daily jog up and back Baloy beach each morning last time I was here 3 months ago. Being a bay type beach with little swell some might think the water is not so clean but go around the corner at the lefthand end & you'll see the water is so clear you can't tell if it's 30cm or 3 metres deep. It's like glass.

The rooms are as good as good as any 4 star beach hotel in Australia such as say the Reef Hotel in Hamilton Island with the food And drink offering being probably a little better and certainly less expensive although quite costly by Filipino standards.

In between are several local shops you can buy food or beers for great local prices and there's [places like Blue Rock, Sheavens and Harley's pub just a short stroll away to change the scene ofr eats & drinks entertaining if need be.

Wifi was good to excellent but could be better inside the rooms.

Food was terrific and service was 4/5, often better.
Greater venue, great location. Will come back again.

My husband and I booked this place thinking that it's a nice getaway holiday destination. We couldn't have been more wrong. Ok, the rooms were fine (with no view) but it was clean enough. The staff seemed fine, though they didn't look like they were too happy working there. The swimming pool wasn't as big as it looked in the picture but seemed fine (nobody was enjoying it). What we realized was that if you're actually a couple, you may be the only ones at the resort. Sorry to say but the hotel was full of prostitutes.. Yes, I know that Subic Bay, Clark/Angeles City are all these kind of places, but I was shocked at the resort. My husband was definitely the only guy who didn't pay for his date. If you don't mind being surrounded by guys (mostly middle age or elderly - 60+ men) with1 or even 2-3 girls as their 'dates', the hotel is not bad. If you're like me and have a problem with this kind of surrounding, you will check out after 1 night, just like we did and move to a much lower key area to stay. By the way, the downtown kind of place where the hotel runs free shuttle to every night is a street full of prostitudes, you can't find 1 normal bar or massage place. There are only prostitutes and it's quite sad....unless this is what you're looking for.

Rooms were clean and nicely presented (but for some reason had to keep asking for towels). Beach rooms had Jacuzzi but our first room had no plug and the hot water didn't work. The staff were attentive however and moved us to another room with everything working (again no towels though lol).

Beach is polluted with bits of rope and lots of rubbish floating around (there is a shipping port opposite). Hotel had 3 pools however which were great. Jet ski was available for hire next door to the hotel for 1500Pesos for 30 minutes - great fun!

Food was OK but nothing special. We asked for a Margarita and received a small mountain of barely flavored ice - sent it back. Next day at the pool asked for 2 Zombies but after 30 minute wait got drinks that tasted like cough medicine. Basically the problem is that the staff try hard enough but lack training/skills. Better if you stick to local beer.

I would stay here again if I found myself in this location but given the distance from Manila (about a 3 hour drive), the relatively high prices everywhere, the generally run down state of the neighborhood and the pollution I think a plane trip to Boracay is a way better option.

The staff was frindly the whole time, fast check in befor 2 pm, great. Best area in this hotel is rigth the pool, also the restaurant food was ok, but not a special.
But, the rooms needs urgent a renovation. I had never seen so many dirty things in a high value hotel in a high room catergory! Very dirty aircon, needs to be change the filter, old and dirty bathroom, rust on the metal bars, special the jacuzzi, you dont would like to sit inside and relaxe. Also the curtains is old and broken and in the corners and edges in the whole room is a lot of mold.
For a room like this price category, it is absolutly not accepteble and i am happy i had only booked for two nights there. It was not a real good feeling to stay in this room.

This is always a great hotel and probably the best in baloy beach. Hiwever the service on this trip has been shocking. From check in to the pool service and restaurant service. Very amateur young service from the staff. My family have been treated and respected as back Street working girls. Been coming here 10 years when kids were young and now the kids are in there teens with a foreigner Daddy they were treated as if they were from a bar. Not a pleasant feeling. Didn't see the usual walk around from the hotel managers. Not the same since my last report a couple of years ago. Yes it looks a nice and is a nice hotel but many of the staff have changed and need to be educated in customer care, respect and service.

What an outstanding Personal-Service from hotel staff. Very kind and helpful, from front desk to receptionist and even our room attendant. Very spacious room, clean and relaxing especially the beach side rooms. Huge swimming pool with nice waiting area tables w/ umbrellas and chairs. Onsite restaurants were good too, Scalliwag and Barefoot is what we visited, Nice atmosphere with live music. Good food and attentive staffs. Would definitely go back this summer

Bang for the buck just not there I was disappointed with this place. The best thing they had going for them was the girls working the front desk. This place needs rehab in the worst way! I will not return.

I agree with the answer of BudgetTaveler91411. The room we had costs around 80 USD per night. It's a beachfront room with 1 king size bed. The food is quite expensive. We spent around 20 USD per person per day. Jetski costs around 65 USD per hour. So if I think 500-750 USD is enough for 5 days. Nothing much to do there.
