This is a great hotel. BUT..Becoming run down. Pool staff very unprofessional and not educated well in customer service. Rooms need renovation. Reception staff too meticulous and strict with check in. Yes it's a great hotel in a good location but things could improve
I arrived, just standing in the lobby, pictures are nothing like being in this dump in person. Got to our “deluxe” rooms, filthy! Mold all over the bathrooms! And see my view from window (pictures). Enough said. What a disappointment. Went downstairs and checked out within 30 minutes of checking in. Don’t waste your money!! Moonbay Villas are 100x better and CLEANER, for the same price!
The old girl needs help. I'm sure at one time, many years ago, it was a top notch establishment. Unfortunately those days are long past. The place needs some serious work or they need to lower the rates. It is too overpriced for the quality of the place.with too many newer places in the area that are less expensive, have larger rooms, and are closer to the center of town. Some of the issues were the moldy shower and shower head, no hot water, no water pressure, and the sliding doors (closet and shower) didn't work properly, All this aside, the staff was friendly although very slow. If the rate was closer to $50 a night versus the posted $78 rate I would have a more favorable review. This is a $50 a night hotel not $78.
For our second time in the Philippines, we spent our vacay in Subic which is an amazingly wonderful spot with agreeable people moreover. We stayed in Wild Orchid Beach Resort, Subic particularly and it meets our craving. The sustenance in their restaurant was extraordinary and charmingly served. Me and my mates got a kick out of staying in their pool which is gigantic, perfect and loosening up. What a great remain, we'll certainly return.
We have stayed here 3 times before. Always in the dryer season. This time was the monsoon. The hotel was much less busy. However the general state of the hotel was in apoor state. (with te exception of the public rooms. Staffing levels down ((understandable) Del at reception was excellent as always helpful friendly and understanding. Sadly as we had 2 local area BROWN outs there was no electricity for 6 to 7 hours on one day. The hotel generator was OUT of action. The following day another BROWN OUT but still no generator. It is a lovely hotel but sadly needs money spent on it. We will check before re booking.
