Beachfront rooms

Pros
- Customer Service 10 of 10
- Room 8 of 10
- Amenities 7 of 10
- Beachfront view 9-10
- Shower room 8 of 10
Cons
- TV was limited to online streaming. No cable channels.
- Entertainment was limited time with live band and bar access. Close to early.
- Beachfront bar table and chairs were a bit old and worn down.

Overall excellent hotel. Obviously most hotels are still recovering from the pandemic. Wild Orchid did their absolute best to keep the place as clean and running properly as possible. Some other hotels nearby can't say the same. Very impressed with customer service. Fron the security guard, room service and ground keepers all did an amazing job keep the customers happy. Will book again.

Located about 20- 30 mins away from SBMA and 100 meters away from the main road Olongapo Bugallon National Highway. You actually see the signage with directions to Baloy Long Beach. It is a 5 storey resort hotel...with frontbeach rooms. However, the beach and the beachfront rooms were actually located at the back of the hotel and you have to cross a small street to get there. They have Scallwag restaurant which offered 24hours service whether dine in or room service. Food is ok but a bit pricey. Staff were all nice. Parking space is big. Swimming is somewhat L-shaped and quite big as well. Rooms were ok. Suggest the Executive Room @ the 5th floor which offers a veranda with near yet a bit far view of the beach and offers a jacuzzi.

The hotel was clean and staff was accommodating. Food and drinks are little expensive so recommended to eat outside. They have billiards and karaoke inside. Pool was clean. Just dont stay at 4th floor if you have 3rd eye. But everything good. Hehe

It’s difficult choosing a room for your mother visiting on her own in the Philippines due to many resorts having a lot of noise and karaoke. I chose this because I live nearby.

Wild Orchid was very quiet, spotlessly clean and the staff, like the majority of the Philippines, were fantastic. The manager is a lovely guy, and always made sure that everything was ok for my Mum, whilst being flexible with check in/out times. He is definitely an asset to the hotel.

Everything in the poolside room was working as it should, was spacious and had a large bathroom with an excellent shower.

The pool is quite obviously befitting of a top, top resort in any country. It is huge, and immaculately clean.

What surprised me most was the food. Food can be very generic around Baloy, and despite being on the higher side of prices - it tasted substantially better than in the previous two times I had stayed/visited there. Am told the chef is new.

If you are a family/older person one plus point is the security which is excellent. You feel very secure at night and the security staff are both friendly and attentive.

Overall, I have nothing but good experiences. Thank you.

We booked 3 beachfront room and in truth the rooms and location went beyond our expectations.
The rooms were Directly on the beach which was lovely.
Rooms themselves were massive with a fabulous rainfall shower and each had a large terrace area complete with table and 2 chairs.

Opposite our rooms we also had a bar/restaurant (one of many) where the service was amazing.

Only negative is they said they provided toiletries, toothbrush, body lotion and shampoo NO SHOWER GEL/BODY WASH.

Overall we enjoyed our brief stay and were a little sad on leaving.

Upon searching for affordable hotels days before an event in Zambales, we stumbled upon White Orchid with the help of agoda. It looked decent through the pictures. One of the cheapest 2 days before the day we needed a place to stay.

When we arrived, the whole hotel was old. Stairs, roof, tables, sofa, even souvenirs they sell at very expensive price, the smell of the whole place. Although the staff are very accomodating and kind.

Expecting the room will be comfortable to sleep in at least because that was the purpose of our stay, to have a nice bed and clean room. But no. The smell of the entire room was SO strong with disinfectant spray or lysol or bug spray. The bed was covered with old beddings like the one you see in really old movies. The bathroom door has no lock. I woke up to the sound of a cockroach creeping down the sink to the bedroom floor. It was really nasty. Never going back again.

Initially very disappointed after booking the expensive penthouse for a week. Although very large and very nice family accommodation the penthouse had no bed quilts and no hot water. After discussing with the manager we were shifted to the beachside rooms. On arrival there again was no hot water which was quickly rectified by the management and maintenance personnel. Overall very nice rooms, well fitted out, great beachfront location. Security top class and service by all staff was very good and professional. Food was fantastic and drinks the same. Manager very apologetic for initial problems, refunded where required and provided a free bucket of beer for our family. We will be back again next year.

This hotel is old dirty and needs major upgrades. They give you an actual key for room door. Towels are old and useless do not dry at all. Was billed for new towels because of stain during wiping their filthy showers.. Shower hot window does not open. The pool is dirty with leaves. Extra towels are extra charge. The ATM machine did not dispense money and staff could not solve problem. This osg not resort status needs 90% improvements to be consider resort in WEST

I have stayed in the Wild Orchid many times throughout the years and was amazed with just how terrible it has become. I realize that Covid has put a hurt on much of the tourist industry, especially in the Philippines, but there is no reason to reopen this hotel under its current state. The walls are not only in need of painting but they are filthy. The room was absolutely unstayable. I booked for 3 nights, walked in, the room smelled so bad, the aircon was broken, they had no TV and the rest room was deplorable. I walked right back out and took a room at half the price yet much better.

We joined a Subic HOLYLAND pilgrimage and side stayed at Wild Orchid resorts. Front desk ( Angelica) very gracious, polite, helpful. Mang Jason delaRosa the porter--over all around porter would be so quick to assist me. ( Senior-PWD). bit rundown hotel, BUT i love its Marble flooring. Assigned us a quiet room upper floor. Super near the beach. Scalliwag Cafe resto has limited chooices, but the server, Gerald very helpful. Guards very nice too

I agree with the answer of BudgetTaveler91411. The room we had costs around 80 USD per night. It's a beachfront room with 1 king size bed. The food is quite expensive. We spent around 20 USD per person per day. Jetski costs around 65 USD per hour. So if I think 500-750 USD is enough for 5 days. Nothing much to do there.
