Resort in Subic is affordable and within the budget, however:
1. no Actual beachfront, but has access.
2. Room is very small, with basic amenities
3. Pool is very small, but kids will enjoy
4. Food at the restaurant has variety but a little pricey.

The staff have limited training and skills..the front desk don't know how to process a credit card only because they haven't seen a card like mine before, its just a simple MasterCard for goodness sake!!!! What is it with these people..even the manager just stood there with a blank look on his face..dont ask the front desk a question..all your going to get is..sorry sirrrr!!! you can only wear speedos in the pool..not allowed to wear a shirt or sunscreen coz they reckon it has something to do with there filtration..what a load of Cr...p!!! We will never stay there again and i advice anyone that wants to stay there not to believe what they tell you..

I had a room up on the third and it was so fantastic, I love the view from the balcony and my room, although you have to climb the stairs. Its an average room nothing fancy not that big but relaxing and comfortable. I admire the staff of this hotel, so friendly and accommodating, makes me feel at home. Food is great, nice servings and oh boy, the resto area is by the ocean with a perfect view of Subic bay area. I am amazed with their pool, it was so clean and well maintained. Its a pretty much old hotel and the road going there is rough. Overall.... a very nice stay.

We stayed for a week in December as a family. Whilst the hotel looks ok and the rooms are comfy the management of the place is confused. Rather than hospitality and general care of guests the focus of the management is money. The current owner obviously lacks experience in the hospitality sector and while his extended family receive the highest standard of care, the paying guests were left to suffer.

We stopped eating in the restaurant after a couple of days after waiting (on both occasions) over an hour for our breakfast omelette. We opted to eat our Christmas dinner at the hotel with some of our family and friends. One member of the family was served, 20 minutes later another (without the rice), three more 20 minutes later, with the second ones rice and 15 minutes later the rest arrived, one a beef dish, when a chicken dish was ordered. The cost of the meals are WAY above what the should be.

Whilst the pool is nice, the owners could enhance the appeal by working together with nearby residences to clean the beach on occasions. I walked it with a four year old child a few times. Rubbish that had clearly been there for months lay decomposing amongst the rocks. The water was full of rubbish. Glass bottles and beer bottle tops were a common site.

All in all we had a negative opinion of the place. The staff tried their hardest, but were clearly mismanaged and obviously living in fear of the owner.

Finally, having to call the owner Cap-i-tan added insult to injury, whilst he may be a captain on a ship when he takes my dollar I am the Capitan!

NOT WORTH THE PRICE! If you plan In bringing your family to this hotel, please don't. A very loud band plays every night outside. Kids have to go to bed early. Very uneducated people working the front desk. And very Inexperience waiters and waitress working the dinning tables. The place where you eat Is always too windy, blowing all your napkins off the table. Too many ants In the rooms. No HOT water In the rooms. Just cool water.

It seems that the owner just wants your money and really care about the GUESTS NEEDS!

As soon as you walk outside of this hotel, a SEA of VENDORS attack you with their things to buy. The location of this hotel Is on a really very bad road. NOT EVEN PAVED! A lot of MUD you have to walk on.

And don't believe what you see on this hotel web site. They make It look so good. But when you go there, It;s not what It really looks like!

This hotel should be called, the SHAME Hotel Instead of Sheavens!

This is not a place for peace and quiet. They have 2 clubs. 1 is in the front of the resort away from the rooms, the other is right outside of the room doors. They had events the first 2 nights we arrived, a karaoke contest until 10 PM and Zumba the 2nd night. We're being told there will be a live band until 2AM tomorrow night. We're going to check out. If you think you can sleep inside of a nightclub with loud music, this is a great place for you. If you want peace and serenity, don't reserve a room here. We booked for 4 nights but we're not going to stay because of the noise. We were informed (by Hotels .com) that we're going to lose the money for any night we don't stay because I've already been charged and this resort won't issue a refund. They tried to give us another room, but all the rooms are the same. They have a nightclub in right outside the room doors.

I have stayed at Subiza (formerly Sheavans) on numerous occasions. Unfortunately this stay will my last.

Not sure what has happened, I know there are new owners but it seems to have lost some of it's charm.

The entrance has changed, previously it was open and inviting now it's all closed in and seems rather uninviting, not a very good first impression. Check in seemed slow and long winded. Booked a deluxe room. After finding my way to the room, 4 floors up, whilst large and clean it seemed dated. Bathroom requires a full renovation, very little water pressure, dirty looking thread bare towels, TV had poor reception (fuzzy picture) bed was comfortable, air con worked there just seemed to be a lack of general maintenance about the place. Coming from my room it was difficult to actually find the exit to the hotel, very strange.

Didn't eat in the restaurant, it was empty and unappealing. Didn't try the music lounge.

Check out was just a long winded as check in.

As for the staff the only persons I seen during my stay (all be it just 1 night) where the security guard and the guy behind the reception desk, the place seemed deserted.

Far to many other choices in area to give Subiza another chance, unfortunately I will not be staying here again. Not much going for it other than the location.

Had a beer or 2 at Harleys, bit more lively and inviting. Ate at the Blue Rock, excellent BBQ as usual

We have been to Sheavens four times since 2012. Then the hotel was really lovely, with friendly staff, good service and good food. There were always guests enjoying their breakfast, lunch or dinner at the open air dining area, rooms were quiet. In the years following the hotel underwent several changes. They built additional rooms, a swimming pool (which is very nice) and a new reception area. instead of having an open reception with views through to the terrace, the new reception area is horrible. It's dark, it is decorated without any taste and gives the hotel an athmosphere which it does not deserve. Every stay after the first stay building work was going on, often from very early in the morning (drilling, hammering, workers shouting on the gallery etc.). This is unacceptable. This stay one of my friends was locked out of his room when he returned at 3am in the morning, because the newly installed security card system did not work. It took staff 45 minutes to give him access. Unacceptable. We booked a car throygh this site to pick us up from the airport in Clark for a reasonable rarte of PHP 3,000. When we asked staff at the reception to book a car to bring us back rates were rised to PHP 5,500. Unacceptable, so we arranged it ourselves for PHP 2,800.

This hotel is a big disappointment - not a family oriented place! We paid for 2 family rooms and the other room had no ref and comforter! Telling us that the other room was not upgraded yet and we paid the same for the two rooms! Horrible place to stay! Never again!

I stayed here in April 2018. It was fine. I had breakfast and snacks at the outside (but covered) seaside eating area and all was fine. I never had dinner there, or in their music lounge, so can't comment on that meal.
