Great big meals. The menu is huge. Certainly not fine dining but eat here when you want a hefty hearty meal. I and various mates have eaten here over 10 times. Good bar but limited knowledge of cocktails and mixers. The Salad station is small but what is there makes a wonderful addition to the meats. Value++. Helpful security guard here. Waitresses can be a little slack but overall one of the best mid range eats in the city.

Steaks are “prime Australian beef” (from website). The chef knows what he’s doing: good sear with a little char, tender, juicy, pink in the middle and well seasoned. Will be back for their reasonable priced imported steaks. I would recommend their THICK 450gm T-bone steak and filet tips with pepper sauce.

I was slightly excited about trying this place out again after the renovation. It does look different but it is much better? The answer is no. New paint, furniture, curtains, safe and TV. All basic and cheap. Tiny TV. Same old air conditioning units. Bathrooms essentially the same. I was hoping the beds would be improved but no. Same single thin sheet on the bed that seems too short. Thin 3 inch mattress that’s one level better than sleeping on the floor. The WiFi was better than two other hotels I experienced during the same trip. There are better places to stay around the same price.

When ever I stay at Clark I make a point of eating here. Excellent food be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Visited for dinner and breakfast on this visit. The food is simply delicious and much of it authenticity Swiss. The Swiss breakfast is not to be misssed, but for sure you will have no room for lunch. All portions are large. Goulash soup is one of my favourites. The highlight of the week as far as I’m concerned is the liver on special on a Wednesday. Friendly staff who are attentive. Fair wifi. Nice decor. I love the place. Highly recommend. Prices reasonable.

This is a honest review of my last experience here at Swiss Chalet Restaurant I must say that in past visits I’ve had no complaint Sadly on this occasion this was not the case! My partner ordered Chicken and Rice and I Ordered Tenderloin Steak Our meals came and again sadly mine wasn’t of good Quality. I sent mine back and a very angry man (chef) brought it back untouched saying there was nothing wrong with it! Telling me off in public (very unprofessional) I understand we can all have a bad day. As a 50 year old guy I’ve been eating Steak for a longtime and know when it’s not right. The boss (Chef) then charged full pride for entire meal. After a long discussion clearly affecting his mood and ability to do his job. Refunded the cost of my Steak Had he just prepared a different Steak and possibly apologised for the bad one I wouldn’t be writing this review As I’ve said I’ve had many good meals here and found this experience disappointing Very Angry Man! Faithful customer lost.
