Great big meals. The menu is huge. Certainly not fine dining but eat here when you want a hefty hearty meal. I and various mates have eaten here over 10 times. Good bar but limited knowledge of cocktails and mixers. The Salad station is small but what is there makes a wonderful addition to the meats. Value++. Helpful security guard here. Waitresses can be a little slack but overall one of the best mid range eats in the city.

Steaks are “prime Australian beef” (from website). The chef knows what he’s doing: good sear with a little char, tender, juicy, pink in the middle and well seasoned. Will be back for their reasonable priced imported steaks. I would recommend their THICK 450gm T-bone steak and filet tips with pepper sauce.

I ate at the Swiss Chalet at the suggestion of an Austrian man I met at a hotel I was staying at in Angeles. The food and the service were outstanding and an employee insisted on showing me a suite. I was impressed and decide to stay there the next night. I travel extensively in Thailand, Philippines and other parts of SE Asia and I have to say that this was the best accomodations for the money I have ever seen! I especially appreciated the free wi-fi as I have to be in constant communication with the US. The suite is beautifully designed and the service was impeccable. The hotel is also extremely conveniently located for a first time visitor to Angeles like myself. Also incredible was the transportation to Manila airport for my return to the USA. The drivers went out of their way for me to find an ATM machine I needed to transact some business. I give the highest recommendation to this establishment and cannot wait to return!!

As a repeat guest at this fine Swiss Chalet Hotel and Restaurant in Angeles City, Philippines i am again and again surprised how much quality outfit and friendly quality service can be included in a very quiet near-airport in the middle of all blossoming life. a Hotel as business venue or pleasure equally suitable. at a price of 22.- to 26 US$ - all deluxe rooms have an equalhigh standard of furniture and outfit except in small difference of size, all rooms have:
silent split aircon - zero noise !!
an electronic secured safe box
wi-fi coverage for free www access via DSL
filled fridge with mini-bar
colro cable TV
a full set - 8 pcs - of hand crafted and hand painted country style furniture
and more extras.
a real Swiss owned / managed hotel of course also has a Swiss Chef de cuisine for Swiss, Filippino and international gourmet food - all done be the very friendly owner Hans Hofmann.

Many extras - see on the updated oft the hotel swiss chalet

new extension with more rooms and 2 suites will open mid August 2005. i am eager to see those new surprises.

its simply amazing how smooth a kitchen can work wile producing finest delicacies at very affordable prices - some of the very best value for money ever encountered

highly recommended - enjoy

The Swiss Chalet Hotel was very comfortable. A Premier Deluxe room was spacious and with everything you need. The location was good and, despite a building site next door, the place was quiet. WIFI and a LAN cable provide free internet access at a good speed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
A comfortable hotel in a great location, and the restaurant at the Swiss Chalet is excellent too. Recommended.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and won't be my last. I was pleasantly surprised with the professional, attentive staff that made me feel welcomed and like a friend. Everything from check in to arraigning things for me was done with a warm smile friendly attitude. I have stayed in many different hotels in AC, this one I will stay again due to their terrific staff. The hotel is a bit dated but is well kept and very clean, the Superior room is perfect size for a person that likes a lot of space. Everything worked well and the sleep quality was good. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years and it is among my favorite places to stay in Angeles. Hans the owner is also the chef and their swiss restaurant is among the best and most popular in town. The rooms are very well kept and provide free wireless internet which is increasingly becoming a must for travelers these days. All rooms provide a safe located inside the dresser for your valuables and cash. Decoration is of an antique, elegant style that is very classy. Location of this hotel is very near the center of the city's nightlife. All this being said, this hotel lacks a pool, recent rates have gone up like most hotels in the country so it is not quite the bargain it used to be. Overall, it is still among the winners in this city and highly recommended.

We were warmly greeted by the receptionist. The hotel staff are nice and friendly. The room is European themed except for the odd Chinese lantern hanging in a corner and a Chinese calendar on the wall. The room is neat with good room service everyday. I was not able to taste the food though because I was out the whole day. Room price is cheap which is a good value for money. More parking space would help a lot though. Overall, I had a good experience and would opt to come back and stay again.

To begin with, I’m not into writing reviews until I find that I need some info about the places I’m going to meet by budget.
Not many review about Swiss Chalet unlike other Hotels which always been spoke and write about.
Swiss Chalet worth the money spends and I just stayed in the standard room. It is money saving and delivers what basic needs I would expect. I did stayed at other top rated hotels before this BUT the price keep on increasing.
Agreed some reviewer were mentioning the furniture is kind of run down. Well, it’s not run down but the concept is the olden crafting woods and bound to have scratches and peeling off. To me, it doesn’t bother a bit. Cockroaches’? If you keep left over in your room!
The room is spacious (remember it is a standard room), shower comes with warm water, air-con were very cold at times and need to fiddle the temp setting.
Room is clean, toilet was clean and sink were clean with just missing filter cover.
They provide extra pillow upon request and bed sheets are clean and neat.
Hospitality and customer service was great and the staff really friendly and attend to our needs immediately. The location just a stone throw away from “Field Avenue”. You get a good quiet sleep at night or even a nap at day time.
If one intends to stay around the Field Avenue and to SM Mall, don’t bother to take the trishaw, just walk and some exercise is good. We walk to the Mall all the time.
Perhaps future upgrading is to have a proper closest (currently shared with safe box and too little space). Secondly, have more clothes hangers .The room only provide 2 hangars.
View the room pic which I took and hope you guys have an idea the condition, looks and money you spend. To us money save will give us other needs to spend with....more hooping!
Place to sleep with acceptable condition, Yes, it is Swiss Chalet!!
