Detailed Reviews

Stayed in an Executive room for a week on one of the upper floors (upon request).
Overall, hotel is decent. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Nice bathroom with separated shower/toilet. Room came with safe & even an umbrella (useful). Nice small pool on roof. Very friendly and attentive staff. Location is great, easy to walk to most places & trikes easily available.
The lifts were poorly maintained, only 1 worked my entire stay and it shook every time I rode it (re: scary). Wifi was great, when it worked (re: sucks). Line kept dropping even though reported several times. TV channels are limited. Expected more for the price I paid honestly.
While service staff are great, they charge if you require more than 2 towels a day. (It was typhoon season, you'd get soaked just standing at entrance of hotel). Seems a bit petty to me.
Will I return? Perhaps. But still feel I could get better value. If maintenance & facilities don't improve, I'll likely go to Central Park next door.

Stayed here with my girl for our monthsary, the room we were given wasn’t that bad. It was clean and it even had a separate bath tub which was nice. When we arrived, we were given a parking space in front of the hotel, the weather wasn’t that great so we felt lucky that our pick up truck was just right in front. The next day, a phone call from the front desk woke us up around 6am to inform us that they will be turning off the generator to let it rest for a while because it turns out that there was a blackout due to the typhoon. It was no big deal for us since it wasn’t that hot and the room was cozy, when I grabbed my bag to get some stuff I saw that there was water leakage from the window and some of our bags including our important documents were soaked but we didn’t make a fuss about it at the reception because we’re not the type to complain. Now this is what triggered us, when we went out to get breakfast we saw shattered glass in front of the hotel near our truck but we didn’t notice that our hood and windshield got damaged because it was wet, we only saw it when I cleaned the truck and there were shattered glasses on it’s rain gutter and that’s when it dawned to us that it was because of what happened at the hotel. We tried to liaise with the hotel’s GM but unfortunately they were denying that it was from their hotel even though you could still see the glass debris right in front of their hotel and they insisted that they weren’t liable despite the fact that we were parked in their property. Not impressed with how they handled our concerns but anyways, we won’t be coming back.

The hotel suffers from lack of maintenance - the wear and tear is extensive.
PHP 10k for the Jr. Suite is not worth it.
The staff at Upper Deck (rooftop) were more occupied chatting together, and forgot the guests at the pool area.
The staff at the Reseption were very friendly, polite and professional.

Not worth the hype and review online.
It has limited parking, small elevator, dark hallways. In short, kinda creepy. Its an old building in Angeles. You can find better hotels with cheap price than this hotel.
Its like an upscale motel.

Nice hotel, but there were rat droppings under the bed. And then baby rats. The mother wasn’t around, just the little ones. Upon complaining, they pretended to not understand English. The neighborhood had several buildings under construction so it may have been a temporary problem.

FANTASTIC HOTEL w/OUTSTANDING STAFF! What really "stands out" at this
hotel is THE STAFF! (From the Strapping 6'3" SIR JOEY all the way to the little girl
who picks up & delivers your Laundry!) 5 out of 5 stars for the staff. I stayed in rooms 305 for a week & 306 for a week...OUTSTANDING ROOMS. 5 out of 5 for
CLEANLINESS. The KING BEDs are SOOOO warm & comfy! 5 out of 5 for the
BEDS! Make NOTE: To have your room CLEANED you just push a button by the
entrance door. This lights up a CLEANING LADY light on the OUTSIDE of the entrance door & like MAGIC.....ROOMS CLEANED!! SIMPLE!!! As for the showers & Bath & overall plumbing, 5 for 5! The water was Clean & Clear , the
showers were hot with plenty of pressure. Located about 50 meters (55 yards)
from WAKING STREET this is a clear advantage over the ABC & LEWIS GRAND
hotel's located much further away and priced cheaper than both. The POOL on
the roof top is quite nice especially at night (It's open 24/7) as is the pool bar.
The food was quite good & reasonably priced. YES! Kokomo's has a much
larger menu.. but that's about all it has over the Penthouse. (I visited Kokomo's a few times during my stay & wasn't very impressed.)
If I could to make a couple of suggestions to the PENTHOUSE management
staff to improve the QOS at the Hotel, they would be:
1. Add a small to medium size MICOWAVE oven to each of the rooms
None of the rooms(even the penthouse suites) have them.
2. Add a nice Jukebox/Outdoor Sound system to the Roof Top pool area.
Some nice music would be a worthy investment for Pool!
THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING! (I'll be back in March 2015!)

After trip advisor keeps blocking my review in detail. Here is a scaled down one.
I was made to wait 2 hours for a taxi as they did not book one after several weeks notice. And the staff ordered it 90mins after telling them i am still waiting.
Taxi advertised at 2500 but i was charged 3195
On arrival the staff tried to give me a discount of 100peso for my trouble and the supervisor was not willing to help until i told them i will go next door.
My room had bad carpets.
Low noisy floor without sound proofing
Massive crack in the bath tub which leaks
Shower which lets water flow out to sink area and in to the toilet . Drain hole is not good for its purpose.
Dirty bedding on arrival and they were not willing to change it. Only made bed.
After the second change the "please change bedding" card was missing.
Staff here are totally useless and unhelpful. Lack of knowledge.
Staff were not willing to call for a manager or the owner.
Please see photos
Also Air con didnt work in the high floors.
Wifi is poor in the room
Video posted on youtube for details of my problems
For the price they charge you could have a better hotel and at half the price.
Best to ask me your questions directly as trip advisor blocks all the true statements i have made but wont tell me what is wrong. Just a basic standard message to say it was not posted. (cover up)

Ok, I like staying in decent hotels. Angeles city has tons of low class hotels, that are basically motel 6 style. This hotel is new, and I decided to stay here this trip for 5 days. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is good, the bed is great, and the rug in the room feels really plush if you walk barefoot. The room looks very modern, nice tv, clear channels, it just "feels" so relaxing and nice.
So my female companions really loved staying with me also. The cost is reasonable, if you like a good room and being near the action, then there is no doubt this hotel is for you.
Because its close, I never needed to take a trike when getting to the action, I just walk down the street. I cant tell you how nice that is. I HATE taking those dirty trikes. So to be able to be free of them really was nice.
The staff is friendly, the pool area is very nice. And I really liked the food. I typically got the specials, on this trip. Since I was only there for 5 days, I didn't taste everything. But what I did taste I liked.
The best feature of the rooms are the comfortable beds, and the airconditioning is very quiet and solid - its not one of those cheap AC units that other hotels have - the Penthouse AC is worlds apart.
Ok to sum it up, its a modern hotel - probably the only one in AC I would consider to be properly made - with marble floors and showers, proper rug, and nice furnashings. It feels like you are in makati or BKK in a nice hotel, thing is you are in Angeles! For me a comfortable room is important as I really can enjoy my vacation in a relaxing way..
