Kokomos Hotel is situated in the heart of the night life action of the Fields Avenue. The hotel is a bit outdated needs maintenance. Most of the rooms don't have windows, making the place too damn and depressing sometimes. The hotel has a night club attached and they play loud music till the early hours of the day. The staff and drunk customer's will keep you awake. Not at all appropriate for family and kids. Please stay away from this hotel if you are planning to come with family and kids. This hotel is classified as "adult hotel".
The food in the bar is good and the beers are the cheapest in the Walking street. Ther service staff are ok, sometimes moody. Overall it's good hotel if you planning to be in centre of Angeles city red light district.

The hotel is basically a 300P drive from the Clark airport and is smack in the middle of the Angeles town action on Walking Street. No use pretending why you are here so may as well get amongst it! ;)

The nightlife is either side of the hotel and there is even a little bar & pool at the back of the hotel where you can relax with a reasonably priced beer. But personally I think the best feature of the hotel is the restaurant area at the front of the hotel as it is the perfect place to sit, have a drink and people watch. Also the restaurant is open 24/7 and the food is actually pretty good.

The rooms are in the middle of being renovated and the work can be a little noisy but the workers don't start till a respectable 10am and honestly wasn’t a problem for me.
For those who are woken by a pin drop.....wear some ear plugs.

When I first walked into my room I thought.....hmm this is NOT a 3*, but in the scheme of things, and the fact that the room was kept very clean and the overall ambiance of the hotel is quite amazing, I think they are justified with that rating.

The rooms are very different from each other....so my room was HUGE....even had a bar and a stage equip with disco lighting and a pole in the middle of it (yes all you firemen will feel right at home) and the bed was a super jumbo. The shower area was also large, but water pressure was very poor and the water that came out smelled a lot of iron (bore water perhaps?) But again, not such a big deal.

The TV was a rear projection TV and was HUGE but was starting to lose a bit of colour, but again acceptable, and they also give you the use of a DVD player...yes they also have movie channel (HBO) for those antisocial moments you may need.

The Safe was harder to work out than the Da Vinci Code and eventually I had to get the manageress to come help me reset it, but once accomplished was big enough to chuck all your valuables in. (I was later informed that the info for the Safe is in the hotel hand book and so do NOT read the safe instructions….they are wrong :))

Overall a great stay and I would not hesitate to come back here again.

You can never plan for a Kokomos meal. It might take an hour, or ten minutes. It might come out cold, or steaming hot. You might have to ask the waitress for your food a dozen times -- or not at all.

And still, over the years, I have eaten here many times, although it hasn't been recently. Usually because I wanted to sit and watch the world go by and would choose something that I figured would be served relatively quick and accurate.

So the skies were in alignment and I decided to order the Chicken Parmigiana. I've had it before; sometimes good; sometimes not so good.

It was served quickly and hot. Missing of course, was any sauce for the fettuccine noodles -- an item that has always been served naked here. So, I ask for sauce and a few minutes it is provided at no charge.

The chicken breast was huge as you can see in the picture ... I should not have eaten it all, but I did. It was slightly bland but still a bit tasty (although had ZERO spice). The garlic bread was quite good today (which was a huge surprise).

Overall good meal, large serving, and fast service today.

I had made a reservation with HOTEL.COM , locked in a price and paid in full with my credit card. When we arrived at the hotel they did not accept our reservation. They suggested I cancel my reservation and book the room directly from them, and pay cash at a HIGHER PRICE than the price i had locked in my original booking.

Do they think im stupid? Its their loss, cause i was also a customer of the restaurant, now i will not go there anymore.

I found a better deal somewhere else on expedia.

Dire. Not provided with room which I paid for, facilities extremely basic. Water from sink was brown, shower faulty, air con unit held together with sellotape, no wi-fi, television not working and room safe jammed. Ants everywhere. Threw back the keys after two awful nights.

The food here is decent. The menu is massive, and the prices are reasonable. The hotel part though is poor. Rooms are overpriced. Wifi is very poor and spotty. Room was dirty, and obviously not cleaned from the prior guest. No free water like most other hotels. Spotted several bugs in my room. The noise from the restaurant and go go bar below is very loud and is constant. Weak shower. The pool is tiny with no sun beds or ability to suntan.

Went to their restaurant, ordered a hotdog. It arrived 25 minutes later after reminding them 4 times, and it was a cold bun with a microwave heated sausage and tasted awful. Very rude service too! Terrible place!

All seemed well, got to Kokomos just a one minute stroll into walking street, checked in without issue, although the receptionists seemed a bit tired they did make an effort to smile and are as usual polite. arrive to room 11... What a dump!! $45US dollars for one night in this hole!! (an apparent special HAHA yeah right) thank god its only one night i thought.. Looking around what could have been out a 60-70s motel room, shame it wasn't the 60s or 70s at least then it might have been new and a bit nicer! got the old aircon going, must be 15 years old or so but fired up and the remote displayed 29, tried to reduce the number to no avail, i could here what sounded like marbles bouncing around in the remote but when i felt the air it was more like 19 so i never bothered, turned the ceiling fan on which i immediately thought was going to tear itself from the bracket with its extreme manoeuvres while rotating at high speed. To get rid of the banging noise, i reduced the speed - very carefully, as its one of the pull cord ones and its quite short putting my fingers in danger of getting the chop, but unfortunately when done that just made the nightclub underneath the room even louder. Oh well, i can live with it for one night - after all - i chose a place in the middle of fields! And having sleeping pills with me will do the job, ill just sit on the net speak to some friends, order some room service (having previously tried the food i know it will be ok) and relax..... 1.5 HOURS LATER THE NET STILL DOES NOT WORK!!! The never worked for my whole duration of the stay. Spoke to staff, tried ALL 3 wifi connections.. Nothing but a headache and severe frustration. Ended up heading off to cuba cuba a short walk down A Santos Road to be able to update people and let them know im here and safe. the location was more convenience for people watching, 24 hour food and the pool for the morning before i fly out, this was my mistake and i should have known better. Realistically, this is a 1.5 star hotel room, the .5 coming from the fact the air conditioning works, I'm too exhausted just thinking about what the length of this review should be if i even start on the details, but i will add, the mattress is in the shape as if there is still one obese person laying on one side of it. it needs burned. Im yet to lay on it, but i will be checking for bed bugs, and if i find any - i might just lose the plot. Few extra things I've noticed in the brief period I've been here. **ceiling light above table and chairs - plug hanging from ceiling - not working. **Lamp next to bed on table - plug on the floor and no place to plug it in?? **Had to rearrange table near a plug socket to charge ipad/phone, one socket not working, had to search 6 other sockets to find live connection - did not attempt the sockets which are on the wall with damp damage from the bathroom behind. ** toilet leaking from waste pipe resulting in bathroom mat and toilet mat being wet after waking up in the morning? ** ive never seen a full sized fire extinguisher in my hotel room before?? Should i be worried? ** strange 90s emergency flood lights on room wall? ** the smell of the water from the shower left me smelling worse than before i went for a shower, and was actually GAGGING while showering, i actually felt like i was in a river in India while showering. **i wouldn't even give the room furnishings away to the needy, they are ready to be discarded, are ancient and of no value whatsoever.
