The Orchid Inn is located 1 block from all the action on Walking Street. There are no comparable hotel for the price in the area. Kevin the manager, heads a great team that are friendly and look after your every need. If something's wrong or you need help, expect a knock on your door within seconds. Even when I changed from another hotel to OI, a staff helped me bring my luggage over...with a smile. And unlike other places they have overlapping wifi coverage. So whether you're in your room, shooting pool, or eating a meal poolside, you can still check your email, do Google searches, or stream your favorite movies. I'd be remise not to mention the food. Top notch! And every Sunday evening a live band, that takes requests, and will allow karaoke as well. Also, I'd be remiss not to mention their liberal guest policy. It was never an issue.
Sadly, there is a lack of attention to detail. Orchid Inn is showing signs of wear that need addressing. The rooms are littered with chipped walls, old room service menus with outdated prices, gaudy artwork in the rooms, rusty/clogged bathroom fixtures, low water pressure and rust-smelling water, etc. All could be addressed with one team repairing room by room. Also, the pillows are horribly uncomfortable with hard foam, and impossible to sleep with. And, no blankets, just sheets. But, cleanliness was never an issue; great housekeeping staff.
Regardless of these minor issues, I plan to make the Orchid Inn my go-to haven while in Angeles City.

I rarely ever give 5 stars, so a 4 star is quite good from me.
The room was clean and tidy with the staff doing an excellent job with any questions or concerns raised dealt with promptly. The room had a few mosquitos in it but a quick spay of bug spay took care of them.
The restaurant area is quite dated but comfortable enough with the staff friendly and attentive.
The menu could have a bit more variety on it but what is there was quite good and the prices are very competitive to everywhere else in the area.

Arrived after midnight so we just booked a standard room until our original booking of a superior deluxe was available. Frankly I would never book a standard room there, but fit our needs for just sleeping at a reasonable price. Staff was excellent throughout our stay allowing us early morning check-in to our superior deluxe room for the rest of stay. Superior deluxe room was nice. The only issue was the air conditioner was very old and was hard to adjust. Remote was unreadable. Pool and bar area is also nice. Location is a bonus as everything is in easy walking distance. We'll stay again.

I am sorry to say that their owner is an dishonest person who does not care about his customers. The booking company I booked through made a mistake in their booking and two rooms got booked. The booking company tried to fix it but Orchid Inn refused to let go of the second room. I have now started a paying dispute through my American Express and I hopeful I will get my money back.
On top of that the air-conditioning did not work, they do not have elevators so for the older persons this is not a very good choice, the do have a water boiler in the room but no cups and the roomsafe does not work.
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.

Dear Sir, Unfortunately sir you booked through an online travel agency. Either you or the travel company made the error not the hotel. The hotel then has to pay 18% commission to the travel agency then the hotel is expected to accept the loss of revenue here because the agency or the traveler made an error. By making a booking, the hotel reserves and holds your room up and until you checked in and the error is discovered. By holding this room, the hotel is prevented from selling the room to another guest and therefore the hotel suffers a loss of revenue purely because someone else made a mistake. We understand your frustration, however, if it was indeed the travel agency who made the error then it is the travel agency who should accept the financial loss not the hotel. In future, it is much easier and less problem if you book direct with the hotel and these problems can be avoided. Thank you!

I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel. I was misled by all the good reviews. I had booked via agoda but during check in they tried to get me to pay cash even through I had paid through credit card. Anyway they were able to check the booking and get this sorted.
The worst thing about this is the location. The room is attached to their restaurant. It's not on another level just to the right, its like you are living in their restaurant. You get the noise of the TV, guests dining and worst of all there is a pool table so the entire day you will hear clanking noises from the pool game.
The room itself is right out of the 80s. It is like everything is falling apart and is kept together via zip ties. It gets worse. The aircon is loud. The decibel meter recorded it at 75 db which is like someone sitting next to you and shouting in your ear. I don't know what is worse the noise from the aircon or from the attached restaurant.
Well it gets worse, the room is completely roach infested and I spent the entire day dispatching tiny roaches. It's not like they are being the refrigerator but they have infested the bed itself. Really gross.
I have no idea how this place can have such high reviews. It is the worst hotel that I've stayed at in Angeles. A $20 room at Eurotel is better than this crap which costs almost double (this was not the most basic room but one above it). Thankfully I had booked only one night so bailed the next day. Cannot recommend this hell hole to anyone else.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past five years without issues. I visit this area about twice a year, and the hotel staff, the closeness to the mall, good restaurants, walking street, great room prices, the swimming pool, Astro Park (where I go running), etc, makes this place my first pick every time I visit this part of the Philippines. There are more luxurious/newer hotels around, but why pay for more when you can have it all? Let me repeat this: the hotel's staff makes all the difference; they really help you when needed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

When visiting Angeles City I always stay at Orchid Inn Resort. Over the last 10 years I have always found all the staff to be courteous and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The rear bar provides excellent beverages and the food is second to none. These days I stay in the Jasmine Wing as I prefer it a little more quiet but have stayed in the Hibiscus Wing before. All rooms offer excellent facilities. My room had just gone through a decor upgrade with new furniture and new bed. On my next visit I was informed that the bathrooms should have been completed so I am looking forward to the next stay. The hotel is also close to the entertainment bars and clubs but not so close that noise will disturb you. Less than five minutes and you are on Walking Street. A Trike stand is also within shouting distance should you want to venture further. I cannot recommend the Orchid Inn more highly. The rooms offer excellent value for money, you would not be disappointed.

I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is perfect as it’s right in the heart of the nightlife but just enough outside that it’s quiet at night. They serve really good food there which a lot of guests ate. Rooms were cleaned daily and the pool was warm, clean and got lots of sun. Will definitely return. Also…. The staff were all super friendly. Which makes your stay that much nicer

The Orchid inn has been going strong for decades and still maintains its charm and appeal. It has a good bar/restaurant and is very clean with a pool perfect for lP swimming. The staff are always nice and courteous. Though the hotel is getting dated it still provides good clean rooms at a very good price. I hope they update some of the rooms soon but you do get a big bang for your buck. The location is close to walking street and many food and entertainment places.

The hotel is an Angeles institution. Been there more than 30 years and you meet the same guests every time you stay. Rooms are adequate Internet good swimming pool good enough for laps and if you like Aussie sports the main bar shows the rugby and horses most days
