got to the hotel around 1030 Dec 28, 2016 to attend a retirement ceremony. We inquired at the front desk to see if they have a 12 hour stay because we are planning to go back after the ceremony and the lady at the front desk said they are not doing this, so the next question is if they have rooms available, cheapest if possible. She checked and after consulting with the guy at the desk in kapangpangan she told us the only available rooms were the high ends. We were disappointed then someone suggested we go Agoda, and we found out there were cheaper rooms available, I was furious and went back to the front desk but the 2 individuals we spoke to were gone. Since we were pressed with time since we need to attend the practice for the ceremony we did the Agoda booking. All went well we checked in and stayed overnight. Upon check out my wife said all is well and I asked her about the MANDATORY P1,000 refundable deposit upon check out and she wasn't aware of it, so we have to REMIND the front desk about it and that was the only time they processed it. If we haven't reminded them about it that P1,000 was gone. I believe the front desk personnel need to have a thorough customer service training because in my opinion it SUCKS. Otherwise room is spacious but the shower drain in Rm 441 is not leveled.

The hotel room was spacious and clean, but it did feel like the hotel was in soft opening mode. This is weird considering the hotel has already been existing for a while as Oxford Hotel. Now it is renamed as Royce Hotel. The rooms had a safety deposit box, a ref, facilities to boil hot water, and 2 coffee and 2 tea bags. We liked how the room was large and clean. Wifi worked only in the lobby area, we were unable to connect to the hotel wifi while in the rooms even if the signal appeared strong. The wifi in the lobby area was named "oxford", while the wifi in the hotel room area was named "royce". There were only 2 channels on the TV. Breakfast area was very small, considering the number of rooms in the hotel. Thus people were waiting in line to be seated. Servers were overwhelmed. I did not receive the coffee I was asking for. Food choices were ok but not wide ranging - on a Sunday morning, there was one soup, rice (plain and garlic), corned beef, chicken nuggets, chop suey. Fruits were some watermelon and sweet banana, not much else there. Check out and check in took some time as well. There was a long queue when we were checking in, the people at the reception seemed to be confused with all of the different papers that they had in front of them. We handed over our voucher, after a few minutes, they couldn't find the printed voucher we handed over. Good thing they did find it after a few more minutes, but still, that's not really a good experience. Parking was good, there is a big lot in front with parking available, and another lot on the side should the parking be full. Location wise, you do need a car to get around. There are some restaurants and a convenience store a few blocks away. There is no swimming pool.

People might get lost finding Oxford, it was renamed Royce hotel. My wife reserved 2 seats last Feb.13 as preValentine's day treat, a concert featuring the Soul Siren- NINA. Having caught the last tickets for php1500 each front seat with set menu dinner. The parking was spacious, the main lobby is spacious also and the concert hall is spacious as well. but not the Bar that could occupy only around 30 seats i supposed with live bands, acts specially on weekends.Food and service was good. Congratulations to the organizers!

It was an extraordinary but affordable stay at Oxford Hotel. the room was big and cozy, just like the bed. It houses an Italian restaurant that serves authentic Italian food. It has refurbished its old Casino, not only its set up but also their slot machines, which are all new and exciting.

Hotel was under renovation. My stay was ok not until I got locked inside the bathroom. Lucky for me, my friend has not left the room yet and helpede with the door. We also asked for additional toiletries because what they provided was only good for 2 and we are 3 in the room. Nobody came to give us what we requested

As of a week or two ago, the name has changed. And that was the beginning of the many small issues and problems during an underwhelming stay. The taxi driver managed to find it, but no Oxford. After a few times around the block, we had the idea to ask where Oxford was at the Royce! But the only change is on the outside of the building. The card key, the wifi, the branding in the room, all still says Oxford. Many rooms are under renovation, so power tool noise and pounding starts at 8am, and reverberates through the room and walls. The room we were given has a view out the back, which is a garbage dump or recycling storage area of some kind. The room was renovated, and appeared in new condition, but furnishings are sparse in an otherwise large room. The bed is fine, the shower is large, so basics check off ok. We had the breakfast buffet (included) and it was nothing special. Service was average, food was average. When we wanted to get out of the hotel the next day, we asked for a metered taxi to be called, as we had arrived in one from the airport. The staff denied that such taxis exist in the area. The cost was 350 pesos minimum to go anywhere, which is a ripoff, we payed 185 pesos to come 3 km from the airport to the hotel. We checked out the menu from the restaurant, it was equally overpriced. We didn't partake. There is little within a short walk, fast food and 7 eleven as well as a Starbucks are within 2 blocks. I didn't explore further. Asking for a taxi, and confirming the price of 350 to the SM mall, I was told 5 minutes. 5 minutes later that became 30 minutes. At that point I canceled the taxi and we crossed over to Starbucks. From there we learned of Kingsley's nearby, and a pub on the ground floor, which is comfortable and well priced. The food there ranges from cheap snacks to mid range entrees and a massive bar selection, exceeding any offering at Royce. The hotel rooms look better for the same amount or less! Another annoyance was the wifi, it's free, but a wifi router placed temporarily on a table in the 6th floor hallway means it is insecure. The Aircon in the room worked ok, but an annoying little click from the intake vent near the door sounded like someone was trying to get in to the room until I found the source of the sound. Another small issue was misalignment of the shower door which made it impossible to close without lifting up on it. Overall, for a standard rate of 7000, or is it 3,8 like on the booking websites? Not sure, but overpriced for what is available in the area

My husband & I checked in here last Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 as he participated in the recently finished Cannonball Endurance Test. Everything was doing well until the morning, Jan. 9 when I was locked in the bathroom at 8 am. The bathroom door seems to not worked properly as even attempting to twist to unlock it won't budge. So locked in there I have to think & act quickly how to pull myself out from the situation. I decided to kick the vent slit to free myself and after breaking five (5) slits I squeezed myself out & I am lucky I fit in the small opening. I then called front desk to report wht happened & demanded to speak with Manager to make him aware of the incident. The Operations manager, Mr. Gil, came and he apologized for wht happened. He instructed his staff to move me into another room which I was glad to do so. What is the other best option when a customer gets locked in as a compensation? Free room maybe??? I wonder how a child and nanny be able to handle being locked in bathroom??? Overall, the cost of room we paid did not compensate for my over all experience in staying here. Hotel needs improvement. Also seems like their pool is still under renovation until this time which seems to have taken for a while now to finish. Here are some pictures showing the vent as my escape route to freemyself from being locked in.

The Oxford Hotel inside Clark Special Economic Zone recently soft-opened after a major renovation. The exterior was greatly improved, the lobby airy and well lit. The hotel also has an adjacent casino and an mediterranean inspired restaurant operated by a famous Italian Chef Chris Locher.

ive seen and been in different kinds of hotels all over the world. low to high class. but this hotel, i booked this hotel online for the kids and as well for a place to stay in after attending a wedding, i expected a lot. upon checking in i was informed that the pool is under renovation and worst there is no Wifi access in the room. They shouldve informed or noted in their website or in any online booking site.
