Stayed here for 2 nights. The place is not well kept. My room has dust and the pool hasn't been cleaned. The bathroom on our second room smells. There were floating leaves and plastic. I took the net to catch the plastic and 4 staff were there seeing me do it and didn't even offer to help clean. When its the guests that's cleaning your pool its bad. My sister ordered food from the room service. I saw the staff came back with food on plastic bags. Like they bought it from the carinderia and the tapa is disgusting. I spit it out the moment I tasted it. You charge hotel price for food that you bought from the street. Cable service is slow so can't even watch tv. First night the wifi is good 2nd night was terrible to almost nothing. They advertise that the place is walking distance from SM, its not. Get ready to pay 100 pesos for trike each time you want to go to SM. I suggest you get Grab car instead same price just more comfortable. The place was overpriced for this poor service. Never coming back. Will not recommend.

Pros: Receptionist and "room attendant" are very pleasant and hospitable. Water pressure in the shower is good. King deluxe room has a jacuzzi in the bedroom which is a nice novelty. Bed is comfy. Cheap. Cons: Dirty and unmaintained. Cable and WiFi didn't work. We took a quick look at the room before checking in just to see if everything was passable. For the cheap price I was not particularly choosy or expectant. After checking in and getting my stuff in, that's when I noticed the jacuzzi was grimy and had hairs. I looked around the room closely and noticed leftover trash in the bin in the bathroom and a hairtie on the floor that didn't belong to me. And a dead fly on the floor. Not wanting to make a fuss, I asked reception to send someone to clean up especially the tub. The "room attendant" from their other property was the one who came because the property didn't have attendants. He was very apologetic and nice. I didn't have the heart to get upset. And he proceeded to clean up best he could while I was in the room. At 11:30pm to my horror, noises started coming from the pool. Children and teenagers playing and screaming loudly. I called reception and asked up to what time the pool is open. I didn't get an answer upfront. She just asked if I found it noisy and she'll take care of it. I demanded to know up to what time the pool was open and she quietly admitted until 10pm. I asked why the children and teenagers were still allowed to use the pool are they the owners and I didn't get a reply and instead she assured me she will take care of the noise. If you are squeamish and staying longer than a night, do not go here. The only reason I gave a 2 and not a 1 is because the staff are nice.

Attended a wedding and this property is only few minutes drive from Holy rosary parish church and we booked 3 days 2 nights in Family Suite. The Staff are very welcoming! Our stay was nice! In our room, we have TV, queen size bed and living room. The food was okay but we also did try the local restaurants nearby the area. There is a small pool in this resort and for the money (less than PHP4K) we spent for 3 days, very valuable. Recommended for those who wants to find a place which is valuable and in city area!

I am reviewing a Sister hotel /apartment just a few meters away from Poleng Villa Hotel. Poleng Apartment is previously known as Lia Condotel. The place just a jeepney ride from the town proper . It is near restaurants and a convenient store. I have booked my stay via online and the price is almost the same when booking personally in the hotel The room I got was good for 4 adults and 1 kid (age lower than 12 year old) . The apartment has wifi and a small pool. The room we got has electric stove and a microwave that can use to re heat food or cook simple dishes. Has refrigerator but the room 's split type air conditioning unit isn't enough to supply the needed air both on the room and living room . The living room is equipped with fan to cool the place and TV. The pool is too small and only the room occupants near the pool area can be accommodated in pool size. With 6 person the pool , it is already crowded. But if you are just looking for a place to stay for the nite. The bed and bedding are sure to satisfy your need. The room price is reasonable and the staff were accommodating and friendly. However there is some issue on the cleanlinist of the kitchenwares which management should check and the availability of foot rugs and hand towel as part of the amenities . The room coffee cups are too small which should be different from the lobby coffee cups . The place offers complimentary water coffee and juice at the lobby . Overall I will go back to this place because of its bed and staff. Price is reasonable and place is cozy and family friendly . You feel secured while staying with Poleng Apartment.

Some of the room photos posted here in Agoda & on their Facebook page are not the properties' actual photo but a sister hotel's (Hayvenhurst). I only noticed when we're already about to check out. That alone is already deceiving and misleading. No doubt why the actual room looked so different from the pictures. Have I noticed earlier, I would've opted for a different hotel. I booked 2 rooms, 1 is the Deluxe Queen (for my sister's family) & the other is the Queen Suite w/ Balcony. When my husband and sister-in-law examined the rooms before checking in, the staff led them to what seemed like an annex of the main bldg far from the pool area, and told them that it was the Deluxe Queen room. Not only did the place look like a bodega (storage room), it also smelled like one. It seemed like they were giving us an entirely different room from what I booked because it's advertised on their FB page that all rooms are pool front, w/c is definitely not the case with the room that they 1st showed us. Since we arrived early we decided to have lunch first at a nearby resto and deal with the room situation later on. Upon checking in, my sister requested to be trasferred to the another room since the condition of the supposed Queen Deluxe room is unacceptable. The receptionist grant her request, so they ended up occupying the other Queen Suite w/ Balcony right next to ours. When my family was about to enter the room, I was told by the staff that only a maximum of 4 people can occupy the room. I was travelling with my husband, nanny & 2 kids (1 and 5 yrs old), so we were a total of 3 adults and 2 kids. To my understanding, the room can accommodate up to 4 adults because their policy clearly states that children below 13 yrs of age stay for free if using existing bedding. To my surprise, the receptionist told me that I would need to pay an additional 500 because we exceeded the number of heads allowed in the room- that's another 500 on top of the 500 that they're already charging for the extra bed. I was already a bit pissed because that was not disclosed anywhere and mind you, I'm the type who reads even the fine print. The extra charge is not the issue here, but the fact that they didn't state that anywhere is what really turned me off. Not wanting to argue any further, I decided to just let it go since we don't want our whole trip to be ruined by this. At dusk, my sister asked if the extra beds that we requested for each room are already set. This time, there was a different receptionist. She then asked again how many heads are staying in each room. My sister gave her the figures and mentioned that it's only now that we were told about the additonal 500 even if one of the occupants is a 1 yr old baby. This receptionist then told her that they'll only be charging for the extra bed, as there shouldn't be an extra cost for kids. Ok, I'm glad that they corrected it, but please get your policies and guidelines straight. I don't normally rant, but this property still has a lot to improve on. Not sure if they're still on a soft opening phase, hence the poor quality of service & facilities. I'll be listing down the pros and other cons in bullet form: CONS: *Queen Suite w/ Balcony is listed in Agoda with the inclusions of a complimentary bottled water, instant coffee, tea, and welcome drinks- all these were non existent during our whole stay. And the so-called "mini bar" is just a small tray of snacks and some toiletries for sale placed on top of a drawer. The closet and clothes rack were barely there as well. * Bathroom doesn't have even a single rack where you can put your toiletries and what not. Not even a soap dish is present. No tiles on the wall and sink yet. The door mats provided were actually face towels. *Switch/button used to change from faucet to shower mode kept on snapping. We had to call for the room boy the first time it happened but we then learned to fix it on our own later on. *Pool could really use some cleaning. *For a suite, the room had close to nothing- no electric kettle, no hair dryer, no mini ref, no safety box, no seating area nor a single chair or stool inside the room. This really made me regret my decision to choose this property over the one we previously stayed at in the same area w/c has way better facilities at the same price range. Why did I book here then you may ask. Well, I wanted to try something new and the reviews on FB were all positive but I can't help but think that maybe those reviewers are in some way associated with Poleng Villa. PROS (yes, there are still some redeeming factors in this hotel): *One of the room boys (didn't get his name unfortunately) was really polite and very much willing to help. *The bed was ok, duvet is actually very comfy. *Water pressure was also alright. *The facade of the room and pool area looks nice. Good for taking pictures. I'll be posting this review in Trip Advisor as well w/ supporting photos. Poleng Villa, I hope you take this constructively. I really think that this place is quite promising and could offer a lot more in time if given an opportunity to improve. Lastly, please don't put Hayvenhurst's photos on your page even if it's your sister hotel so that people will know what they're really getting.
