I recently stayed here with my husband and another couple. I booked our hotel room directly with the Harmony Suites website and the other couple booked through Expedia. They got a lower rate for a king suite than I paid for a queen room. My room was really small by comparison and not in a great location in the hotel. After discovering this information, I went to the check in desk and asked if I could be upgraded to a king suite or at least discount my room and was told that they weren't able to do that. I thought that I was doing a good thing by booking direct. I was disappointed and have learned my lesson, book through Expedia. That being said, the hotel was in a great location. Close to restaurants and bus stop to NYC was right out front of hotel. Our room was ok as far as cleanliness. The picture in the bathroom had what looked like tooth paste splatter and the grout in the shower had black mold. The rest of the hotel was pretty clean, as they were constantly disinfecting common areas. The hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast but they do offer a made to order breakfast at a reasonable price. I was still recommend this hotel for its location and convenience.

This hotel is very pretty and clean. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are huge. The beds are comfortable. 2 big nice tvs in each room.
The negatives are, the cleaner/air freshener is very strong. The rooms will not get down to 65 degrees even when it is 60 degrees outside. We called maintenance the first and told us they will not get that cool. So he brought us 2 fans.

Good hotel with large and clean rooms, with the defect that is now rampant in the USA, and that I can not stand, to be rearranged and cleaned during the stay only on request. In any case it is pleasant and comfortable. We are in New Jersey so the price is lower than in NY and this does not hurt. However, reaching the Big Apple is fast, a bus stops practically in front of the hotel and costs a few dollars.

We stayed one night before our cruise. We drove from Canada and arrived early morning. Check in wasn’t until 4pm but the lovely ladies at the front desk locked up our luggage, let us park and gave us access to a restroom to freshen up. We toured NYC for the day, the bus stop was just across the street, so convenient. And upon returning check in was a breeze. Our room was very spacious. We were a family of 6 and it didn’t feel right at all. Everything was very clean and comfortable except our pull out couch didn’t feel nice to us. We just put the mattress on the ground and had a great sleep. We checked out the pool, there is no whirlpool/hot tub. The pictures I saw must have been old. My son used the gym and enjoyed it. Breakfast was above my expectations! Very good. We definitely enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The experience at this hotel was great, starting with the location, just 10 minutes from Manhattan on the bus that drops you almost at the doorstep. The cost-benefit ratio is very good considering that it is in NJ right across from New York and just because Manhattan hotels are excessively expensive.
The staff is very friendly, from the reception people to those in the restaurant, everyone cares and treats you very well. The rooms are spacious suites with separate living area and TV, kitchenette and bathroom and very spacious room.
Breakfast included is full American style, with fruit, yogurt, bacon, eggs, hot and cold drinks, meat and nuggets, cereals, waffles and so on.
There is also a gym and a heated indoor pool, which is a plus.
Although it is true that the furniture is a little old the truth is that the maintenance is very good and that helps to enjoy the stay.
Highly recommended!!

Good morning. my opinion for a 2-night stay at the Harmony Suites Secaucus hotel! I booked this hotel for its proximity to New York, its access and for the memory of the hotel, a former Embassy Suites! Amon has already arrived the first disappointment! the reception has nothing to do with Embassy anymore… we start by taking the $250 deposit from you! Then we take care of your room, it is visibly in its original state with repairs to maintain it. room in good condition, switches for the lights with detector which turns on the light as soon as you move at night, forcing you to close the doors of the suite to sleep. no room service between nights. Full buffet breakfast but not at the level of a three star. Quality of pastries visibly not up to date or kept too long in the fridge, tasteless coffee, vertical toasters with 4 ridiculous locations for a huge hotel. And the worst part, 8 days later, still no return of the $250 deposit despite an email that went unanswered. Too bad because the location is great, but this hotel is first about the money and then the services (Embassy there was a restaurant, a bar and also the welcome drinks! now nothing)

Excellent hotel! I am so glad we chose to stay here for our first visit to New York. The hotel is very clean and lovely interior area. The breakfast is good with a lot of choice including bacon, eggs, sausages, waffle makers, pastries, bagels and breads, fruit etc. You advise them when you want your room cleaned and we never had any issues with this system. There is a bus stop directly across the street where you will take the 320 bus to Manhatten or 85 bus direct to the American Dream mall. Tickets are purchased at the stop and are $8.50 return to Manhatten Port Authority Bus Terminal. This Terminal is only a short 2 block walk to Times Square. Bus took from 15 minutes to 25 minutes depending on time of day. Return bus from Manhatten was 320 from gate 204. Walmart and Sam's Club is right behind the hotel and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. We appreciated being able to return to our peaceful oasis after a hectic day exploring New York. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel.

This is an excellent choice hotel, the value for money was incredible for five nights including ample free breakfast options, a gym, a pool and such easy access to Port Authority Bus Station (which is only a few minutes walk from Times Square), bus was frequent and easy to use so hardly any waiting around and only 15 minute journey time to central Manhattan . The room size was ridiculously good and with a Walmart and loads of restaurants close by the local area was much better than we expected. The shower was powerful. Beds and pillows so comfortable and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The hotel kindly let us store our bags on the last day too which made it easier. If you choose this hotel then I suggest flying to Newark and using LYFT to get to the hotel as didn't cost very much and was very quick from the airport.

I booked a two bedroom king suite at Harmony Suites, paying a premium rate. It clearly stated that it slept 4 and included free breakfast. When my wife a two teenagers arrived, I was informed that the room was for 2 and my two children would be charged for the stay plus an additional charge of $15 each for the “free” breakfast. This cost me $80 additional for the night, on top of the premium rate. This was nothing more than a money grab for a hotel and breakfast that was far from what was paid. So, Harmony Suites…enjoy the cash because it won’t happen again. Unsuspecting tourists may be more your speed.

Spacious and superbly appointed rooms with large, extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet offers a rich and delicious selection. The spacious lobby is equipped with comfortable armchairs. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, and the 320 bus takes you to Manhattan in about 20 minutes; a ticket costs $4.85. New York is extremely expensive, here we found a room at a reasonable price. Potential for improvement: The pool is small, outdated and not heated, and there are no showers there.
