Detailed Reviews
Good value for the price. We stayed the night before our cruise and was able to park our car and get a shuttle to the port.
Accommodation was a C....horrible mattress, only two pillows and the A/C unit made an odd noise but the benefit of the shuttle and parking made up for the room Accommodation.

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is a must for anyone cruising out of New York. This is a clean affordable hotel that you can leave your vehicle while you cruise and have transportation to and from the port included in one price. Breakfast is a variety of hot and cold items abundantly available. The room was clean and comfortable. Travel arrangements to and from the pier were clearly explained by Robert the transportation coordinator. He was friendly and efficient and very good at his job. Robert made our trip care free.

At the last minute, I realized that the hotel I usually book no longer provides transportatino to the cruise terminal as part of their package. I was delighted when manager at Hampton worked with me to get us booked on their package. For less than parking at the cruise terminal, we got one night hotel stay with breakfast, parking for 15 nights and transportation to and from the cruise terminal in Manhattan.
The front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The staff that was monitoring the breakfast were so efficient. As soon as I put my utensil down, they were there to clean away my dishes. They also greeted everyone. Great way to start the day! Willie the shuttle driver was awesome! There was a little confusion leaving the hotel (there were more guests than seats) but they got a second van and we were on our way. He dropped us right at the terminal door. On the return trip, we lucked out and managed to be walking out of the terminal just as he was dropping off new passengers so we hopped right on and were on our way.
Highly recommend for the value and the exceptional staff at the Hampton Inn.

My stay at the Hampton Inn in Ridgefield, NJ, was an absolute disaster. It began with a terrifying fire alarm caused by an air conditioner catching on fire. I had to evacuate in my pajamas with no clear communication from the staff—an unacceptable and frightening experience.
Once back in my room, I found that the door wouldn’t lock, leaving me feeling unsafe. The room smelled of mold and burnt plastic, and the shower only provided lukewarm water. To make matters worse, there were stains on the granite countertops as if someone had cooked in the bathroom.
The lobby was no better. An elderly woman, who looked sick and disheveled, monopolized the TV, making the space uncomfortable. Unsupervised children were often playing and creating safety hazards by spilling water on the floor. The staff were dismissive of complaints, making excuses like “these things are unavoidable.”
Breakfast was a major letdown. Instant powdered eggs, filthy tables, and cleaning solution left out near the waffle maker led to accidental misuse. The coffee tasted awful, and the chairs smelled unpleasant. The pool was disgusting, with a sticky chemical residue, and the gym had a non-functional treadmill and smelled of dirty rubber.
Wi-Fi was unbearably slow and frequently disconnected. The elevator floors were dirty, and many electrical outlets and the hotel phones were non-functional. The maids, who spoke only Spanish, acted in an unsettling manner. The thin walls allowed me to hear disturbing noises from neighboring rooms, and the carpet smelled like urine and soap.
Overall, the Hampton Inn in Ridgefield is a health hazard and safety risk. The issues with the fire, room conditions, breakfast, maintenance, and staff professionalism are unacceptable. The freeway exit near the hotel is also dangerous. Save yourself the trouble and spend a little more elsewhere. This hotel is a disgrace to the Hilton brand.

Fred the desk clerk was constantly bad mouthing other guests and laughed when we told him our room had dirty sheets with lipstick stains. Heated pool was freezing and they said it was the best they could get it, so they made the room hot but had to prop the outside door open with a chair otherwise the fire alarm would go off. Another guest complained bugs were swarming around the drains in the bathroom in her room, Rob and Fred laughed when she left. Breakfast was powdered eggs and raw bacon sitting in hot water to cook. Go elsewhere-lots of other choices in the area!!

This place was horrible from the check in; traveling with 2 small kids 6 hours to find out the pool was closed they never told me this when we made the reservation had I known that we would’ve never stayed here. we did not arrive here till late so it was too late to change hotels the next morning break all they had for breakfast was cold eggs and ham no other variety. We went to get showers there was only two towels and one washcloth tried to call down the front desk the phone didn’t work after we walked to the front desk we were told that there were no clean towels they were all in the wash and they never did bring them to the room two hours later still waiting!! This is highly unacceptable and I am completely disgusted with the service and the amenities here I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my dog!! Please go elsewhere!!

We booked this hotel for a stay prior to our cruise. Included was a shuttle round trip. We followed the directions provided after our cruise to meet the shuttle and the shuttle did not pick us up. We called the hotel multiple times and were informed each time that it was on its way. After over an hour and a half of waiting and being the last cruises guests still waiting for pick up, we were told the shuttle had came and went without us. A group of 6 of us had all been very diligently watching and waiting for this shuttle and know it did not stop for us at the pick up location. The shuttle and hotel had our phone numbers and did not communicate with us and were aware we had been waiting based on our multiple calls to the hotel. We eventually gave up took two Ubers and was told by the hotel the manager was not in and would call us. We received no call from the manager despite calling hotel and sending emails for follow up. Very disappointed in being lied to and the poor customer service.
Room itself so-so. No hot water for showers. No soap for washing hands, had to use the body wash.

I have been staying at the Hampton inn going to 2 weeks today. The day of my arrival the manager checked me in and very graciously waived the deposit as he said I was a regular I had stayed here a month prior.) well the second day I wrote an email to the hotel letting them know my room had ants on the desk and the bed. Aldo my air filter had 5 inches of dust on them (it’s dangerous!). I didn’t make a fuss or a scene, I didn’t ask for a discount or refund, I clean my own room and don’t bother anyone here. And I have been asking for 2 new comforters for our beds, every day for a week now and have not been given any. The lady who checked me in on may 1st smelled like straight vodka and she was rude. Sh he yelled that I didn’t have a booking because I was never checked out. They didn’t know I was still in my room! So she couldn’t figure it out so she overcharged me and charged me a 20$ Security deposit . They all pick and choose what they want to charge u. I’ve paid almost 2k already staying here.the worst is the manager he has been verbally abusing me every day since I said something about the ants and dirty room. He finds anyway to yell at me and tell me I’m wrong about something. Today he made me cry. And it’s my own fault for staying somewhere because it’s a good deal. Well I am going to dispute the charge tonight because I believe that someone from the hotel changed my booking without my permission. I booked a queen room, which is what I’m currently in, room 302. I paid for a king room and charged a random 50 deposit. And then I was yelled at by the manahger that if I didn’t want to pay a deposit then I need to book 10 days at once. Well I’m sorry but I don’t have 3000$ just laying around. His actions are inexcusable. Something needs to be done. I didn’t deserve verbal abuse for two weeks over a dirty room. I’m paying to stay here.

I booked this hotel 5 months ago for Taylor swift concert. I am a Hilton gold member and had to tell the clerk I was. I then was charged 40.00 for early check in cash or 50 on credit card. I paid cash then they charged my card another 50. They were price gauging because of the concert. I have never been charged early check in and the worst part is we we only 1.5 hours early! Then this is rated a 3 star hotel it’s barely 2 stars . The rug had stains all over it and was filthy. The side of my bed was also dirty it had what looked like blood stains totally disgusting . This hotel should not be considered under the Hilton name. The desk clerk was also absolutely no help and gash took my 40 cash then charged me 50!!! Never again will I stay here! Shame on the management and owner!

Great place to stay right outside the city. Brought my daughter to the Bronx Zoo over the weekend. The staff was very helpful and nice. My daughter loved that she could get into the pool. Room was clean. Got shorted on the bagged breakfast... an apple, orange juice and boiled eggs... Missing bagel, cream cheese, and yogurt...

Yes, I did this for a cruise last October from the Hampton Inn Ridgefield. I don't recommend this hotel's cruise package. If you go back to look at reviews from October/November 2019, you will see this was a disaster. Not enough shuttle buses for the number of persons using the service.
Didn't find any restaurants within walking distance. However plenty options to be delivered.
