We just got home today after spending a week at The Sahara & I cried as I left. The accommodations were clean& the pool clear as day. The owner, (Miss Marguerite) and her amazing right hand people, John & Stacey run a tight ship & are super helpful AND friendly! We had such an amazing time we are going back again next month! If you want to have a pleasant, relaxing vacation at a family oriented establishment, you should really consider staying at the Sahara, N Wildwood. You won’t be disappointed!

The room was dirty with ANTS everywhere. Upon arrival I brought my own cleaning products due to covid and wanting to disinfect regardless... I ended up basically cleaning the entire room. The room looked as if it was never cleaned prior to ppl checking out..... the ants were EVERYWHERE..... when I asked about the ants I was told "the entire island has them" funny thing is my parents were staying 1 block over and they had none. I even spoke to that Mgr who said that is not true the entire island has ants. I asked the cleaning lady about the room being cleaned and she just looked dumb founded by me asking if the room was cleaned.. she stated sometimes "other house keepers clean her rooms"....... when I mentioned all of this to the you g blond rude receptionist lady she wanted to engage in an argument and continued to say "good help is hard to find"... my family and I checked out 2 days early... I never asked for a dime back but was offered nothing for this awful stay...... the lady kept trying to make excuses... overall.... EXTREMELY DIRTY FACILITY, ANTS EVERYWHERE, AND FRONT DESK JUST DOWn RIGHT RUDE. DO NOT BOOK...…
I am not sure where to begin. I made the mistake of checking in prior to checking my room. When I first entered the room, the smell of urine hit me. I then pulled out the mattress on the stained sleeper sofa couch. The white sheet had a yellow stain around it. When I pulled back the sheet and saw the mattress, it was in worse shape. I went down and talked to the person behind the counter. She said it must have been rust stains. I told her no and that it was not very clean. Since I checked in, she could not do anything other than change the sheet. We didn’t even carry any belongings in the room. Unfortunately I lost all money. I don’t mind dated decor but I do mind if things are not clean and sanitary.
Fresh off my week's vacation in North Wildwood and the Sahara Motel. First, Marguerite, the owner, is very engaging, kind and genuinely happy to see you when you arrive. She makes you feel so welcomed when you arrive, it feels like your home away from home. Over the years she is someone I consider a good friend. Second, her staff, Stacey and Jonathan are very outgoing, nice, knowledgeable and always available for any questions no matter how busy they are, nothing is too much trouble. You are greeted with a smile and "how can I help you!" The housekeeping staff is just as friendly and are spot on with taking care of your room, making sure your needs at met in a very timely manner. I stayed in Room 336, one of my favorite rooms at the Sahara. Great ocean view, comfy bed, TV in the LR and bedroom, and a stocked kitchen with all the amenities that you could ever need. And while the Sahara is on the boardwalk, it is set back a bit and at the far end so there is not a lot of noise that would disturb you in anyway. The location is simply perfect! So many restaurants, bike rentals and the like right outside your door. And the beach is a mere 50 steps away!!! I always look forward to my week's vacation in North Wildwood and staying at the Sahara and when its time to leave I don't want to go. You need to make sure when making your vacation plans to make your reservation at the Sahara Motel. You will love it .... I promise!!…
I was there this past weekend. There was a family who practically took up the whole motel who had 14 kids with them. I can't even call them kids, they were animals. Screaming at the top of their lungs in the pool. Took up the whole pool. I love to swim and not only wasn't there any room in the pool but I guarantee these kids didn't get out to go to the bathroom. I think the oldest might have been 8 years old. I said to the receptionist as we checked in, its nice you have the pool open and she told me she rented to a frat house one time and put the heat on in the pool at 11:00 pm for them. Frat House??? I don't think so. And as far as someone saying the motel was re-done, it was not. The bathroom door was peeling at the bottom and they needed to vacuum in the corners, because it was black along the grout. They were very nice and the spot is perfect, right at the beach and boardwalk. When I go down the shore I want peace and quiet. Guess I stayed in the wrong spot.…
