Our stay here was deplorable in every since of the word. We had to relocate from the first room we were assigned as when it began to rain water started entering the room from the ceiling and soaked the floor. The second room we were in was not much better - overall cleanliness was poor. The full sized bed in the room broke after laying down on it and as an average size person I find that to speak to the frame being old and untended to. Staff was not supportive. When requesting basic things (i.e. clean towels) my family and I were met with eye rolls and shoulder shrugs. I would only recommend staying at the Acropolis “resort” if you’re comfortable with significant incongruence in your financial output and the services provided.

The elevator was broke during our entire stay. The hotel management could care less. They refused to offer any compensation for the fact that we had to walk up and down the stairs. This is a six story building. The hotel suffers from much deferred maintenance.

We just got home. 7 in the morning the fire alarm went off. Firemen came because people were trapped in elevator, which other reviews say happens all the time. But they never fixed it the whole time we were there which was not good cuz we are not that young and hubby recently had knee surgery and we were on forth floor. I feel bad for people on the 6th. Long story short… I used booking.com and when I got there my card was already charged but I had planned to pay cash. Annoying but not a big deal. Rooms were disgusting. Balcony and deck were great. Loved that part and the location. I wouldn’t walk in room with bare feet. Bathroom gross. Room gross. Maid was extremely nice but we didn’t make her clean the room we just asked for towels and stuff, but she did try to help us with the tony tv in the bedroom that didn’t work, and while we were out she brought in a new one. Pool area was nick put pool too cold for me and not enough chairs for the tables. Restaraunt didn’t look too clean the one morning we went in. My husband asked for a menu and the guy said “we don’t have them”. Then he asked what they had, and the guy said “breakfast food”. Me and my son were trying to his our cracking up and we just had coffee. My hubby had an omelette and home fries and he said it was good and it was only 6 dollars. I’ll just show the great view and the gross parts in photos. Bye there were two mallard ducks in the pool a few times. That was so adorable. I did see the pool being cleaned each morning. For the price down there it was a great area and view as long as you don’t mind dirt and mold.

Booked a room through a reputable booking site which we use several times a year. Arrived at hotel to check-in. Hotel claimed we did not have a room due to credit card being declined that morning before check-in (they run the cards for the day) and they were sold out. We used our card for gas, food etc all morning and there is no issue with this card ever anyway. Something did not sound right and they were not acting professional at all. So, we asked to see proof of decline. Received run-around saying they can only "pull it up three times to view it". Meanwhile she is pulling it up on her cell phone not a computer or anything. This little snot at the desk has nails longer than a yardstick and can barely hold her phone much less use it. They blamed hotel booking site as reason for us not being notified. They said they notified them (not us of course) of "decline" and that the booking site would have sent use an email. No email. Zip. Zilch. We asked to see the reservation paperwork etc. 4 pages long and NO notes about decline anywhere. All just what time were were checking in. Keep in mind were were firm with wanting an answer but very calm and respectful. Called hotel booking site. They do not have any communication from hotel. Called credit card. They have no history of any "declines" or this hotel running even running our card. SO bottom line, hotel is full of it. Either overbooked and gave us the boot, entered wrong CC number due to nail girl (who quickly escaped into her Porsche because she did want to deal with us anymore I guess) or decided to sell to someone at a higher rate. They did zero to remedy the situation, apologize for confusion/not calling etc. **Hotel is an absolute dump with rude customer service and ignorant dishonest people running it. The doors to the rooms look like jail cells on the outside of the building.** We found a better hotel with amazing staff that was super clean down the street, and were treated like family. Even the travel booking site called bologna on this mess. STAY AWAY.
