The hotel opens its description with a statement that hotel is on airport grounds that creates a wrong impression that the hotel is either within the terminals or walking distance from airport. It is Not. It is an overpriced hotel that is not walkable to the airport. The Titanium benefits seem to be non existant. The front desk "upgraded" me to a room with 2 (!!!) connecting doors on a low floor. I requested a downgrade to a room with a view and without connecting doors. Unfortunately, the view included Ikea and parking garages. Yuck. The room is not bad-at least AC worked; however, it is looking like a minimalist hotel-no desk, there are a couple of hangers on the wall that you see at minimalist hotels that usually cost a lot less than a full service hotel. No breakfast, no lounge access have been offered. Only When I changed rooms, there was a very unclear explanation re: lounge. At that point, I just wanted to sleep and get out of this hotel. Overall, awful. I would not stay here again.

I stayed at Marriott EWR airport, for a quick stay I found this hotel to be suitable and I can recommend it. I did not find the same sort of exaggerated cost-cutting as some other hotels in the NYC area post-covid, and service was above average based on my limited interaction with staff for a short stay. I would return there in the future when needing a stay at EWR. I don’t think I received any upgrade as Bonvoy Ambassador guest except for the fact that perhaps the rooms on higher floors are considered an upgrade. Nonetheless my room was of a decent size for a quick stay and the hardware was generally not bad. For instance I noticed they had double-glazed windows at least 5 cm apart so the soundproofing from outdoors was great; unfortunately the same could not be said of the soundproofing from indoors as I could hear voices, music, and noise from the neighbor and hallway. The room was generally functional and in ok condition including a stand-alone shower with ThisWorks amenities in large dispenser bottles. However towards the end of my stay water started leaking from under the sink: suddenly the pipes came apart without anything of note to trigger it, so the water from the faucet was going straight to the floor. I was able to easily put the pipes back together but it was an odd hardware failure to an otherwise decent stay. Dining was operating as normal, the restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner, and as expected the Platinum breakfast benefit was provided in the lounge. I am not sure the lounge area was the normal one however – they seemed to have created a make-shift room at the far end of the restaurant and it had a small buffet with traditional fare for breakfast, unlike the a la carte menu in the restaurant which was nicer but guests have to pay for it. The lounge area was quiet and empty one morning I went there, and completely packed another morning. Service was generally good and I did not feel any covid staffing cuts were causing problems. For example they were responsive when I requested if a Fedex package could be mailed to the hotel before my arrival, they handled printout requests, they partially redeemed a gift card exactly as per my instructions, etc. In-room dining was also available as normal so that’s not been a covid cut, alternatively we could order takeaway and pick up our dish near the entrance of the restaurant. Overall I had a decent stay apart from the water pipes which is possibly only a one-off issue, so next time in EWR I would not hesitate to book at this hotel again.

This is like pretty average airport hotel . It’s convenience to the airport is somewhat reduced that you can’t actually walk to it from the terminals. If you’re an airport hotel, there are very few things you have to do, but you have to do them well : shuttle has to work seamlessly, has to be clean, bed has to bed good, for should be decent, and bathroom convenient. No one expect a “resort experience”. Shuttle was a disappointment. Recording when you call claims departures every 30 minutes and regular circling between terminals. I came off international flight with my bags at 10:30 pm. I wasn’t at the hotel till 11:30. It boggles my mind how many airport hotels get this wrong. Hotel was a remodeled variant of a standard 70s/80s bland hotel . Popcorn ceiling still hangs on, but it seems clean. The room was soulless, but the bed was as decent. Not much you can do with those tiny bathroom from that era/. But they did rio out those terrible “bathtubs” and installed a real shower. Service offered was consistently below par. Not due to ill intent, but rather through bad training and management. From shuttle, to front desk, to the restaurant same friendly and moderately incompetent approach. That’s on management. Pricing is a typical airport gouging approach. Food is the standard stuff of the Appleby’s imagination. But actual preparation was decent for late dinner and for breakfast. Overall - average airport experience. I would never choose to stay here if I wasn’t passing through the airport with overnight layover.

We were only there for about 8 hours. The staff was very friendly, the room and bed were good and the shuttle driver was very nice and helpful. No issues for the short time we were there. Our flight was over 5 hours late, otherwise we could have gotten more information.

I would give this property a 4 but because of an awesome staff! I have to give them a 5! Front desk (Elizabeth) was so so helpful! I came down and asked her a question and she set me up for everything else I might need. Parking is available for a fee, there are washers and dryers on the second floor (not sure if it’s on every floor). A little ‘convenient store’ is located in the lobby with a microwave and coffee machines. The room was a little tight… no fridge/microwave. Clean and convenient.
