this hotel has a great location by all the shops and food. The hotel was clean and its a bit on the smaller side as far as lobby etc. overall it was a great experience. The pool was super packed but the pool staff were great keeping the area super clean. The one small suggestion is the lobby bathrooms should be cleaned more often, they were not flushed and no soap in dispenser when i told the cleaning staff in the lobby she said she didnt speak english so not sure if it ever got addressed, since its covid soap should be a must in the bathrooms. parking was confusing as the parking staff was never at the lot so many outside people were parking there.
We took a little overnight staycation here and were quite pleased. People might say it's a bit pricey for Long Branch but they are really making that area of Pier Village a great destination in the Jersey Shore. The hotel itself felt brand new, modern, and extremely comfortable. Out balcony was huge and our beds super cozy. The bathrooms and showers were spa quality and the minibar offered great options. The beach itself is really beautiful and all of the staff were extremely pleasant. We will be coming back.
The Wave is 2 years old and we thoroughly enjoyed our preseason visit to this beachfront hotel. Our Jr Suite was comfortable, clean, spacious with a great ocean view. We enjoyed the pool for swimming and relaxing. The 2 year old Long Branch boardwalk, numerous public restrooms and shops are amazing! Two shortcomings: 1. the bathroom lighting might have looked attractive to the designer, but it is totally impractical for someone wanting to see their face to shave or put on make-up. The lighting is simply impractical. 2. Guests can login to the free internet for only one day at a time. Then login is set-up to select the number of days you wish, but is locked at one day. So you must religion daily. This should be fixed. Otherwise a great hotel with friendly staff.
Had a pre check in at 2pm for 2 rooms didn't get into our rooms until after 6pm the excuse was they were short housekeeping and that they had 67 rooms and they all was booked coming and going if checkout time is 11 there is no excuse why the rooms wasn't ready 1 night cost you $479.20 and the service was horrible waiting for a refund doubt if I get that ,rooms beautiful, pool
We recently stayed at the Wave for one night for my daughter's graduation. We had stayed several times in the previous years and always impressed by the property. However, this time I was completely underwhelmed. First off, there is no longer a valet to park your car or bring in your luggage. We schlepped our bags with no offer of assistance from staff. Our room was decent (suite for three people) but the $500 price tag (including an amenities fee for which there were very few amenities) was not worth it (no beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.) Upon arrival we had to call for a light bulb change and bedding for our third guest. In the morning, the fuse blew in the room and we called guest services to fix and we were told gs is off property and not available till 8:00 am and to call the front desk. We called the front desk repeatedly and there was no answer. Finally someone picked up and could assist. Lastly, we asked for a possible late check out (1:00pm as apposed to 11 am) but were told no due to capacity and covid cleaning - wondering what kind of cleaning was done prior to covid?????? Bottom line it wasn't awful but it's certainly going downhill since it's opening. Sadly I don't think I would come back.…
