We live several hours away; I stayed overnight after dropping a friend at Newark Airport and not wanting to drive home late. I was pleased! Room had windows that open, which is a rare treat--just a few inches, but enough to let in lots of fresh air. Also in the room were safe, microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker. Beds were comfortable. Internet worked fine. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in my rate; it looks like a standard breakfast buffet, but was a couple of notches above: the eggs were real and freshly made (not the powdered egg substance often found at buffets), as were the potatoes; the coffee was strong; the seating was plentiful; and the service was attentive. The hotel also uses greenery and plants in creative and attractive ways. I will be happy to stay here again if the situation arises.

This is probably the hotel with the worst soundproofing. Several times we thought that our door to the corridor was open. The people talking when passing by sounded like they are inside the room… We chose this hotel because they have an outdoor pool. When booking the hotel there was no information that the pool is ”closed for renovation” as they later indicate in their web site. Seeing the pool you can see that there is no renovation in process, the pool is simply closed. There was a patio area to sit and relax but that has not been cleaned or serviced for a looong time. The chairs were covered with spider webs and bird stool 😝 We stayed for a week and many small things were annoying. Coming in we noticed that the safe was locked. We asked the maintenance to come and open it. Nothing happened and next day I asked again. They said that they did open the safe yesterday. I said that it is still locked by a Code we do not know. They had gone to wrong room and opened wrong safe. Probably a safe of a guest who had their valuables inside! Every day they delivered one bath towel less than needed. More toilet paper was not given until we asked for it. Same for plastic cups The elevator is so dark that you cannot see the buttons. Small things that could be easily fixed (except soundproofing) would make this hotel much more tempting.

Disappointed Review of Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights-Meadowlands, an IHG Hotel Pending reviewvia mobile We were visiting family briefly in the area & selected the holiday inn given its reputation. We checked in late, after 7pm. When I turned down the bed, to my dismay I discovered blood staining the top sheet. I contacted reception & given the late hour (11pm) I told them to have the top sheet delivered & I would replace it myself, although when I pulled the top sheet away I noticed that the duvet cover was equally stained. No matter I was exhausted & slept with the top sheet only. That same night, noticed that the toilet was not flushing, I opened the tank & noted the chain was not connected, I thought I fixed it, however morning after it was still in disrepair. In the Morning I contacted reception once again & they assured me that maintenance would ve sent asap. In the interim my daughter took her shower & dismayed to discover the shower wouldn’t drain. While she was exiting the bathroom the light went out in the bathroom- only in the bathroom. Maintenance did the repairs. I requested a late check out due to these delays, receptionist paused while pondering her reply & then firmly replied no. Once downstairs that same receptionist remarked that we would receive confirmation by Expedia for payment received & nuanced a connection between room quality received & rate paid. I countered is that the reason we had such a dismal room. I was totally nonplussed & very disappointed in the lack of service obtained.

This was the worst experience in any hotel that we have ever stayed in. The supervisor at the front desk, Mo, suited more to be a correctional officer than a service supervisor at a hotel, kept my daughters waiting in the lobby for more than 45 minutes just because I was not present and he did not agree with the rate that I had booked. I practically begged him over the phone to let my daughters in and that once I arrive we will correct any issues that he may have. He also had my credit card on file and could have charged anything just to let my daughters in the room for the night, but he flat out refused. The room that he finally checked them into had an air conditioning unit that was pouring water onto the carpet. Half of the room's carpet was soaking wet by the 2nd day and he refused to move them to another room. The video of water pouring down is attached. The room smelled of mildew and mold due to the water leakage that I have to believe was going on for several days. I personally asked at checkout for the general manager of the hotel to give me a call, and 3 days later no one has reached out to me. Simply stay away from this hotel.

I stayed at Holiday Inn - Hasbrouck Heights last January 21 and then in January 25 - 27, 2023.
I love my room and my bed. The room is large and my bed super comfy. It is fresh smelling and immaculately clean. I love my window view too ❤️
Though, I would like to suggest that a complimentary bottled water in the room would be ideal for frequent travelers like me.
The service during breakfast is great. Ana, of the coffee shop is very attentive and prompt with my meal requests at the breakfast buffet.
Main course of the buffet is usually scrambled egg, sausage, bacon, potatoes, pancakes or french toasts.
As an Asian, I would like to suggest or if they can consider to include these breakfast selection in their buffet:
a ) Corned Beef b) Hash Brown c) Noodles or Rice
But all in all, I am happy with my stay with Holiday Inn and would love to return in the future.

Under new ownership and it seems they have combined two buildings into one. One main elevator means lots of walking which was fine for me but may not be easy for people with disabilities. Diamond elite member and was given a suite upgrade when I asked. Also offered points or breakfast as my Diamond benefit. Was told I would be given both but we’ll see if I get credited anything since I paid for the stay with points and never used the breakfast credit. Bed was fairly comfy. Staff we dealt with were very accommodating. But the building is so run down. Every time our neighbor turned on their faucets we got a crazy loud pipe squeaking noise through our whole room. Pool was closed. Bar was closed indefinitely until they acquire a new liquor license. That info would of been helpful in the app because I picked this property for the bar. Adequate for a quick stay but not somewhere to stay for days.

It is a pretty decent hotel. Nothing too fancy and there is no room service during the night , so you have to use your delivery apps. The members of the staff were friendly and efficient. Make sure that you bring your own adaptors if you are traveling from abroad.

This place was disgusting. Not sure what happen to my older review. There was blood on the pillows and sheets and they argued with us about comping the room and saying they could only give us a free future stay. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I let my pints go to waste bc I didn’t want to risk another awful experience.

Moderate price hotel, nice lobby with complimentary coffee. The hallways are neat, room is spacious with a nice King size bed, mini fridge, walk in shower, a closet with a safe. Very clean and good housekeeping. There is a convenience area in the lobby as well as a restaurant which will be reviewed separately.

I just saw you need to use public transportation...Then I suggest you get a hotel nearer to Jersey City or plan on using UBER. There should be many available in the hotel area. The Hasbrouk hotel will be better priced than Jersey City hotels
There are more places to choose from in the Hasbrouck Heights area.
