Sandpiper is a great alternative to some of the other hotels. 1 and 2 bedrooms are an option, 2 TVS, much more room than other places we have stayed and the price was great for the off season. Also room has full size fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, washer and dryer. Perfect couples getaway for a few days!!

Hotel's Favorite
Perfect hotel apartment for new parents learning how to vacation with a baby, i.e. a full kitchen and washing machine and dryer and bathtub are necessary amenities for us now. We had an excellent time. Service is always great and the rooms and views are beautiful. We would choose to stay here every time we visit.

This was our first time staying at Sandpiper -- we had a first floor one bedroom unit with a porch out front. Our parking spot was right in front of the unit, which was very convenient; however if you have a large vehicle it can be tight and not all first floor units have spots out front. We could not see the ocean from the porch - the view was the pool - if you want a view of the ocean you really need to be on 2nd or 3rd floor or on a side first floor unit - we honestly did not mind not having a great view as we didn't spend a lot of time at our room. The room had a nice kitchen area with a counter and chairs - it was nice that it had a full size refrigerator even though we used it for water and wine only. Our daughter said the sofa bed was very comfortable and housekeeping set it up each night. One of the best amenities is having beach service that will provide and set up chairs, umbrella, towels, and table on the beach for you -- this is free and a definite plus! There is also a very nice pool with lounge area - the pool is kept very clean (a plus). Another plus is that you can use the amenities at Congress Hall such as the pool and veranda area. We were a short distance from the shops and close to lots of restaurants. The concierge will contact you ahead of your stay to make reservations for you and answer any questions, which is nice of them - we did not need to use them as we had done everything well in advance. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The pool will get crowded after lunch. Housekeeping comes twice a day usually around 9 - 10 am...

I am one who never says never, but I can honestly say I will NEVER stay at the Sandpiper, or recommend spending your time or money on the Sandpiper. I scheduled this family vacation with my mother and sister, each having our own rooms. We were guaranteed that our room would be next to each other and that there was a room block to hold the three rooms together. If the rooms were not together we would have booked at a different resort. The reason for this being the baby monitor does not stretch that far so we need rooms next door to each other so the adults can hang out together when kids go to bed at night. When we checked in, we found out we were NOT together and basically were told by staff it is what it is. On top of this, I was not given a ticket to the carnival like my sister was for my kids. Also, when we checked into the room there was no crib which I reserved ahead of time and paid for. I was told “they were short cribs would I like a pack and play”. My child does not sleep in a pack and play or else I would have brought my own. I had to produce written proof and go back down to office to get crib situation squared away. My room was also smaller than my sister and mothers, you could barley fit two people on my porch but yet my room was the same price as theirs. I was told three times the manager Michael would call me to address these issues. I left him two voicemails. Each day when I went to the front office I was told “he stepped out” and my name, room number and phone number was taken. Lets just say I never heard from this manager “Michael”. I have NEVER in my life traveled somewhere where a manager has not gotten back to a guest regarding an issue with someone’s stay. I am SHOCKED that this is part of Cape Resorts with that level of non existent customer service.

The Sandpiper was clean and well appointed. The one bedroom/sleeper sofa worked well for our group of four and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was small but housekeeping kept us well stocked with clean towels. I especially appreciated the kitchenette for breakfasts and small meals. My favorite part was the balcony…I sat there often to enjoy the ocean view.

We like this property having stayed here before. Great location and really nice accommodations and privileges at Congress Hall. The one thing we noticed is that our two bedroom suite is starting to show some wear. The couch is sagging and mattresses are definitely showing wear. For the prices they are charging these situations are unacceptable. We will definitely be back and hopefully things will improve. If not we will have to rethink our choice of accommodations in the future.

We mostly enjoyed our stay. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath. Living room was a bit small but the front porch view made up for it. Our upstairs neighbors were loud late at night, arguing and stomping down the stairs but you have that at hotels. Our unit was first floor with front and back doors but we didn't have a parking spot out front near the porch. This was disappointing. Strange that 2nd and 3rd floor units get spots out front but they don't have front access to the unit like we did. And the back entrance didn't even have our room number by the door. The place is kind of a maze, several hallways and stairwells. We liked being close to restaurants and shopping and of course the water view. We will likely be back again in the near future.

This is our third time to this hotel. Each time, we enjoy it more and more. Great location and quiet. Wake up looking at the beach. Then after a great day, you can watch the sunset over the beach. Counting the days until our next visit.
