Detailed Reviews
We had to attend a funeral in a nearby town and decided to book a room at The Lily Inn.
A wonderful place full of charm and personality. Everything is updated while keeping the history and architecture of the house. Comfortable with everything you need
Great rooms, the quality of the bed, the sheets or towels, insanely clean, everything outstanding, airy and fresh in an atmosphere of old and beautiful.
We had The Lydia Richie Room, there is a bathtub /jacuzzi. Not very easy to take a shower. If you like a jacuzzi then this room is for you. Other than that a spacious, beautiful room with a king bed that 4 people could sleep on it (just kidding)
The breakfast was very good, served at a dinning table on the first floor, classic.
Thank you.
We will definitely be back.

Simply perfect visit. We came to visit my wife’s family and were pleasantly surprised, I would stay here any and every day over any hotel in the area. I did see negative reviews about traveling with children. This is not the case at all we came with our 9 yo and He loved his time here. Gene was incredible, room was immaculate, my wife (like anyone else) is a stickler for a clean room and this place passed with flying colors.

Our stay at the Lily Inn was wonderful - it's located in a really neat downtown near the river, in a wonderful old building that is beautifully furnished. Our beds were a little small, but we slept well. The homemade breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommend.

My daughter was in a play at Bristol Riverside Theater and my family and friends stayed in 4 of the 5 rooms. We all agreed it was best B & B we had ever stayed at. Beautifully decorated, great areas to sit and visit, Genie was an incredibly gracious and knowledgeable hostess. We also went in to Philadelphia a couple of days easily to sight see. Beds were super comfortable and bathrooms well equipped.

We decided to visit the area to do some house hunting and spent two nights in the Samuel Allinson room at The Lily Inn. The entire property has been lovingly restored while retaining it's colonial charm. The room was extremely comfortable with a view of the street below. The house and garden were very inviting. We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon and evening relaxing by the fireplace and having a refreshment in the garden. Our host, Jean, was very attentive and informative. We are looking forward to returning.

My son was married at a nearby venue recently and we made the wise decision to stay at The Lily Inn. It was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were just so kind and accommodating. I was able to see all rooms, since they were occupied by members of our party. Every one was beautiful, and I would stay in any of them! Both floors have a separate sitting room where guests can sit and enjoy solitude (or each other), instead of being in the bedrooms. This was a nice touch - especially if you are an early riser. The breakfasts were delicious, and Richard was happy to make something different for someone in our party who has a gluten sensitivity. The Inn is so charming, and the area really has a lot to offer. We will definitely be back! This was the icing on the cake for a spectacular wedding weekend!!

This B&B felt like stepping into history in the historical city of Burlington. The host was very friendly and made everyone feel at home. Our breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start our morning. We loved the views of main street and beautiful trees. We had a beautiful marble shower, a comfortable bed and a fire place. This B&B is located in the perfect spot for a walk or bike ride around a city filled with history and river views. We'd love to come back for another stay - thank you!

When we first went to this bed and breakfast in October 2022, it was so wonderful. We could not wait to return--which we did in February 2023. We were incredibly disappointed. No one greeted us, no one showed us around. The fireplace did not work. Whoever the contact was (it was not the same people who were so wonderful in October) said that she would come from an hour away to fix it but she knew it worked (it did not). She indicated that she would not come until the morning to make breakfast. There was only one other person staying at the inn, with no owner in sight. Whoever it was showed up in the morning to make breakfast. We were not eating and expected to pay on the way out (I needed to change the credit card I was using. Unlike our first visit, where the office was open when we were to leave, this person knocked on our door at 9 am to tell us they were leaving and needed to run my card. I got some little credit card receipt under our door, no real Lily Inn receipt like we received the last time. When we left absolutely no one was around. This is not good at all. This inn is in an iffy neighborhood and many of the local establishments are closed. It was a bit of a scary situation. We will not be returning.

Absolutely fantastic! The host was warm, friendly, and was especially flexible and accommodating, both when we ran into a small arrival problem and throughout our stay. The inn is very clean, yet maintains the "rustic" feel of a 1709 house. Full of character. Great breakfast and also plenty of snacks and drinks throughout the stay.
Also, our host knew so much about the historic region that it brought our visit to life as we walked through the town. We would definitely stay again when we are back in the area and could not recommend it highly enough.

The Lily Inn is a wonderful place to stay! It’s beautiful and luxurious with spacious rooms, pretty decor, shady gardens, and a delicious breakfast. We’ve stayed twice while visiting family and the Inn accommodations are perfectly located to get to any place in NJ and PA. Burlington is a cute town with coffee shops, crafts, antiques and restaurants. The owners and staff are attentive and not intrusive. The rooms are quiet and so comfortable.

When I stayed at the Lily Inn breakfast was made on the spot, so I’m sure they’d be able to accommodate special diets.
The Lily Inn is about 10-15 minutes from the turnpike. Well worth the detour!
