Hotel was great! My only complaint is that our SoHo king room didn’t have a coffee machine or a fridge. When we called about that, they said we needed to upgrade to a premium room. Really? $300 a night ( with all fees) and no regular amenities? Be sure to ask when booking!

Hotel's Favorite
Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️

The hotel is decent with some good inexpensive food options. The room is not to bad. It’s a little odd tho have no dresser or closed in closet. The bathroom needs to be renovated. No one has a tub/shower combo. The room seemed to be clean but the mattress was very lumpy and tough to sleep. When we arrived on Saturday the guy at the Rewards desk was very nice. However the guy checking us out on Monday wasn’t very friendly.

Stayed beginning of April. Hotel is very clean. Stayed in a double queen solo room, very spacious, beds are really comfy. Plenty of food places to chose from. Breakfast great at Greenburgs, breakfast croissant with coffee $9. Ate at Toms watch bar, food great, large portions. Went to Chin Chin, large portions, had starters but only got 1 main meal to share, not expensive. The Italian not the best, whilst waiting for our main meal was asked if we wanted dessert or anything else as the kitchen would be closing. . Pool area nice, doesn't get the sun till about 11am, pool is heated. Went to see The Mad Apple show, was excellent not your usual cirque de soliel. Overall a great stay, would recommend.

I love staying at NY NY! It is my favorite destination in Vegas. The ambiance is unlike some of the other hotels and casinos. I’ve stayed at a lot of them and some just seem too expensive and seem bougie. NY NY is like just being a oart of a city street where everyone feels welcome!

I had a great stay overall. If you book the Premier room you get a real useable fridge which is unheard of at most MGM properties these days. I checked in on the app and got a digital key which worked great, so no need to go to the front desk to check in. If you need a real key they have a kiosk next to the front desk where you can print multiple keys. The room was clean but I gave it 3 stars because the ventilation at times isn’t great. My room smelled of cigarettes and pot periodically. I’m assuming it had to be someone in a room next to me, but it just kind of wafted in while I was getting ready in the morning, and at night before bed. I wasn’t in the room much during the day so I can’t say if it happened more. I was mostly concerned it would be somehow blamed on me if the cleaning crew came in! Also, there seemed to be issues with the hot water. Yesterday it was barely tepid in the morning when I attempted to take a shower and it started running colder the morning before, but I was done for the most part when that happened. I didn’t call the front desk about any of these things because they were just tiny inconveniences to me. However, the hot water could have been a huge issue if I had had somewhere I needed to be right away and didn’t have the luxury of waiting for my shower later on in the day.

The room was smaller than expected and did not have a couch as in the photos online when booking. However, the room was clean, and they welcomed our large breed dog. There are several good places to eat within the hotel/casino. The check out kiosk didn't work when we were checking out, but the check in and valet processes were smooth and easy.

I’d ignore the bad reviews about this place. It’s a fun, family hotel. Went as a couple but would definitely bring the children here. Staff all helpful and polite. Huge options for food and drink, which are all good, especially nine fine irishmen. Rooms are good, very spacious, not overwhelming or pretentious. Only downside to the room was the lack of hanging space and hangers. Rooms cleaned 6 days out of the seven we were there so that was a bonus. Read about huge queues for the elevators and homeless people in the corridors, but this is definitely not the case. Didn’t queue once and you can only access the elevators with your room card so they are very safe. The cirque du soleil, Mad Apple is a must to see along with the rollercoaster which never disappoints.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel if you are even remotely sensitive to smoke. It's definitely inescapable if you're staying in a lower floor (we were on floor 7 of the New Yorker tower). My mom was on floor 33 of the Century tower and it wasn't as bad. The rooms may have been renovated but ours was gross. We found trash from previous guests. Housekeeping only came on their own once during our 4 night stay (we didn't have the DND sign out either). The staff do not seem very friendly and appear to be less than excited about their jobs. The bathtub constantly dripped, and was in need of replacement as there were gashes in the tub that looked like toenail clippings. I would suggest paying extra for one of the premier rooms to get the fridge and more space - maybe the experience would be better as my mom had one of those rooms and didn't have the same issues. The shining star was the America restaurant though. Great food, reasonable prices, and the only friendly staff we encountered during our stay. The sleep quality was terrible as the beds in our room were hard, sagging, and lumpy. My mom's room had nice beds that were soft and plush. Must be the difference between premier and not - you get what you pay for, I suppose. Had I known there was such a difference I would have gladly upgraded.
