The D Las Vegas Hotel offers a vibrant stay with its central Fremont Street location, although the lively atmosphere comes at the cost of noise disturbances for some guests. While the renovated bathrooms and clean, spacious rooms are often commended, opinions on value and amenities vary, with complaints about hidden fees and minimal in-room features.
Service quality appears inconsistent, earning both praise and criticism from travelers. Despite the convenience of the location and some positive remarks on cleanliness, the noise level remains a significant concern for many.

The D Hotel is ideally located on Fremont Street, close to popular downtown attractions, public parking, and convenient stores like Walgreens. The staff deserved 5 stars! The check-in staff, particularly Yadira and Jason, provided exceptional service by helping arrange a surprise birthday setup for my sister, which truly made her day special. Irisay from housekeeping also stood out with her positivity and dedication, ensuring our room was well-maintained after initial scheduling hiccups. Additionally, the host at Bacon Nation impressed us with her efficiency and thoughtfulness, and the Coney Island gyros were deliciously fresh and meaty.
However, the rooms lacked basic amenities like complimentary bottled water, a refrigerator, a microwave, or a coffee maker. Despite seemingly low rates, resort fees made the costs comparable to other hotels. The casino was small, and the limited dining options closed early, leaving us to venture out for coffee or snacks.
The elevator system was also unconventional, requiring adjustment as the buttons were outside the elevators. Once I chose the wrong floor and had to step out of the elevator to order the correct floor.
While the staff and location were highlights, the overall experience felt underwhelming compared to neighboring properties like their sister resort, the Circa, where the amenities and convenience were noticeably superior. A few small improvements, such as in-room coffee makers and extended snack bar hours, could significantly enhance the guest experience.

Great price that can't be beat. I've stayed here twice in the last 2 years. Some staff members are very nice and helpful, while others are fairly rude. Different front desk staff gave me different instructions on leaving the parking garage after check-out. I checked in after midnight, and there was no parking attendant working, which is difficult because there's no official place for guests to park while we go in for a few minutes to check into the hotel. They really should add a few parking spaces for hotel guest check-in. My room was clean, but the mattress is cheap and not very comfortable. The free wifi is slow but adequate. I believe you can pay to upgrade to faster speed wifi for around $5/day. As other reviewers have noted, the location is in the heart of Downtown, and on some nights, it is pretty loud due to the Fremont Experience. There's a bandstand next door to the hotel (between The D and Four Queens), so be prepared for music until the wee hours. I didn't mind the noise but if you want to get to sleep early, you might want to look elsewhere. Still, the price is right, and I would stay here again.

I was able to book 2 queen beds room here for a weekend from their Spring sale. The room had a television that looked like a computer monitor, particle board furniture, and minimal decorations or paintings. There is no fridge, microwave, or coffee table in the room. The beds and sheets were very soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with a large sink on the white vanity. The toilet would shoot water out when flushing so it should be closed when flushing. There's not too much on the property itself, but a decent casino and access to the Circa Stadium Swim for 2 guests is included. If you just want a cheap room to go straight into the action being located right on Fremont Street Experience across from the White Castle, this will probably do it.

Arrived at check in around 3:30 for a 2 day stay and rooms were not ready until 5:30 and did not adjoin as requested. AC unit very noisy in both rooms. Elevator lobby was flooded and 10th floor smelled like sewerage. We like gambling there but its not worth the hassel. My husband and I rented scooters due to our disabilities and were harassed by staff and management 4 times over a 36 hour period. Each time we were gambling at the Long Bar. We were told not to park where the scooters could obstruct Bartenders access to the bar. Makes sense so we complied. We parked the scooters and cabled them togerher in a place that was near the bar but not obstructing access to the bar or slot machines. 1) A security person was buzzing around the scooters writing notes and gathering information from labeling, however, he did not approach us. 2) The next morning we parked across from the bar and I saw the same security person. I asked him if the location was ok. He said yes if we were playing at the bar but not to park where we had the previous afternoon. 3) Later that afternoon we were back at the Long Bar parked in almost the same place as approved by staff in the morning. A young lady approached us and said we could not park where we did. Her manager said we had to move them. I explained that it was an approved location in the morning. I asked where her manager wanted them parked. No reply. She did not know. I wanted to speak with her manager and would be happy to wait for the opportunity. She left and came back stating that her manager was too busy to speak with me. Just leave them parked where they were. 4) After dinner (still the same day) we again were gambling at the Long Bar. A young man in security clothing approached us and told us his manager said we had to move the scooters (parked in a similar location). Again not parked in main aisles or blocking any access to slot machines. He did say the manager wanted them parked at the end of the bar by the open entrance. I requested to speak with the manager and lucky for me he was just walking by. The manager was understanding and told me he gave us his approval and to show his card to anyone further approaching us about the scooter locations. Thank you Curtis. Next day we checked out early. Got home (we are locals) and had 4 messages from the scooter rental place that personnel from the D called them repeatedly threatening to cut the cables securing our scooters together.

This was a very poor experience for me and four other family members on a two day trip to Las Vegas. We checked in late afternoon having reservation made weeks in advance and paid in full for two non-smoking rooms with two queen beds and with request for adjoining rooms. We were told there were no adjoining rooms or non-smoking rooms available. We were told they would try to get us in rooms near each other. First trip up we found both rooms were one king bed in each and heavy smoke smell. Went back down to front desk second time and after much waiting and asking for manager which we never saw, we were given two rooms and went back up to find two rooms with two queen beds, however, one room had not been cleaned. Soooo back down to the front desk and ask to just stay in one room with cot and we’re told it’s against fire code to do that and after asking again for manager we were allowed to be in one room and supposed to have full refund on second room. One of us had to sleep on the floor!! At checkout we asked for manager after finding we did not get refund on second room. Manager did agree to refund on second room but today we found that we were charged again for second room. Hotel is not smoke free so be aware. It was a huge disappointment to us. First and last stay there!

Emailed ahead and asked for a quiet area in the hotel, arrived late after a 11 hour flight and there was no note on the system regarding my request! check in took forever (40mins +) they could only offer a smoking room and then something was said about two beds rather than one (couldn't hear from the blasting music in the casino!!) so the lady ended putting us on a non smoking room on a high floor - the lady at check in was polite and nice enough.
Got to the room and all seemed fine, good sized room but none of the plug sockets worked so had to use the bathroom one to charge phone etc .... beds were comfy, loud noise outside from Freemont street which goes on until 4am so good luck trying to get any sleep, toilet blocked which was shocking.
Was woken up to the room next door blasting house music at 2am, I know its Vegas but come on?! Called and reported it and nothing was done, they then woke us up at 7am and started rapping, walls were paper thin and could hear them word for word.
Complained about the noise on check out as luckily was only stay two nights before moving to Luxor on the strip which we love, was told we would get the night comped but upon checking our credit card they only comped the resort fee which was about $30.
Good points of the hotel are the comfy beds, location on Freemont Street, the shop in the lobby and the 24/7 Macdonald's but apart from that you couldn't pay me to stay there again, such a shame as it has the potential to be a good hotel.

Yes, the music on Fremont is loud and, since the D is located next to one of the stages, it’s loud until 2AM every day. That’s a common complaint on reviews but, if you are a night person, take advantage of this hotel. The location is central on Fremont and, like most area hotels, it’s much more intimate than resorts located on the strip. The casino is small and cozy, getting service at the front desk or concierge is easy, and the staff is very courteous. My 9th floor room was clean and spacious plus the bathroom had been renovated so it had an excellent modern shower and generous counter space. My only small room complaint might be the pillows, they’re nowhere near as supportive as they appear but there are far more positives about my stay.

We visit Vegas every year, have never ventured a stay downtown, always thought it was kind of sketchy. However, our stay at the D was awesome!!! Got offered a cold draft beer at check in, tap right behind counter! Room was clean, affordable, especially loved the elevator system, there is a bank of elevators, you input your floor on a keypad, and it directs you to the appropriate elevator. You almost always had an elevator to yourself, and never had to wait, very secure!!!i will say, we heard other reviews mostly mention the noise from Fremont Street at night, and I must say, that is correct, our first night didn't get much sleep, music goes on till 230 or so in the morning, and its loud. But......, after we got used to it, wasn't an issue, and we were so tired after every day, didn't have an issue sleeping. I will say this, you can opt for a room upgrade at check in, which is about 25 a night, that puts your room on the opposite side of the building, away from the noise of Fremont street, if you like. The other nice thing, there is a McDonald s on site, for coffee and breakfast if you dont feel like sit down, also a nice coffee shop right off the elevators. casino is ok, fair share of slots. I would stay here again for sure.

I'm never really sure where to start with these reviews of rooms so here we go...
I got checked in with no fuss and no issues, I arrived around 10-11pm and there was no lines to get checked it. Very quick and easy.
I was staying here for 2 weeks.
I was on the 9th floor, room 908 to be exact.
The room was clean and had everything I needed (towels, loo paper, soap etc).
You have to request housekeeping as and when you want it by either phoning down in the morning and asking for housekeeping or just popping to reception on your way out for the day and asking.
Resort free at the time of my staying was $29.95+$3.89 so a total of $33.84 a day with $100 security deposit that you get back at the end of your stay.
While I could hear the music from outside for me it wasn't really an issue, didn't keep me up or anything.
Out of the 3 bars in the hotel and casino BarCanada was by far my favourite with friendly bar staff and great drinks!
I'd happily stay here again for my next Vegas trip.
P.S - Pro-tip for any fellow Brits going to stay here and are unsure of the power outlets, in my room they had the 3 prong socket on the table by the TV and right by the beds there's 2 USB sockets, very useful!

We reserved two “premium corner king” rooms but when checked in on May 20 only one room meets the advertised description of being a corner room and on 16th floor & higher. We tried to explain how we paid extra to be on the higher floors but the agents could not help even claimed we did not pay extra to be on higher floors. We cheated and the noise from the street was too loud to let us sleep for those of us on the 11th floor.
