Great experience for some very non camping people, beds were comfortable, tents were very well thought out, main activity tent was great and the girls like making bracelets and listening to the singer and playing with his dog.

We were excited for this glamping "experience".  Our tent was clean and more spacious than anticipated.  We stayed in a deluxe with a private bathroom.  It got chilly at night (30 degrees in June), but the wood burning stove heated up the tent quickly and efficiently.  Complimentary coffee / tea / cocoa was a nice touch to go with the complimentary s'mores each night.  Bed was comfortable.  And again, must emphasize how CLEAN we found everything. HOWEVER, the property is noisy.  Between golf carts running all night and guests being noisy during quiet hours it was difficult to find peace / sleep.  It would be wonderful if UC would manage this with more proactive reminders to guests (i.e. signs in common spaces) and asked staff to consider guest experience when running golf carts at all hours.  We have mixed feelings about returning to a UC property for this reason.

We’ve now stayed at three Under Canvas locations and this is the best, comfortably. Camp is beautiful and service on point. Loved the entertainment and having a full restaurant is nice. Ask for a tent near the River. Super nice surprise to be next to that and wade in it each afternoon.

Employees were nice and helpful, and tents were clean. As a Florida resident, it was cool to have to make my own fire, though it would have been great to have someone tell me ahead of time that I need to wake up around 3-4am to start it again so that when we wake up the tent isn't freezing (which we didn't know, and so I felt like a giant ice cube when I woke up). The biggest issue I had was tent location. I was placed in the first tent on the property right on the main road coming into Under Canvas, which meant every car had to pass by us. Since it was my first time at Under Canvas, I didn't realize the impact that would have on my stay. Starting at 5:30am, cars were moving out and woke me up, at which point I couldn't fall asleep because of the constant exodus of vehicles. I wish we had been informed ahead of time what being on the main road entailed, and given the option of moving elsewhere (i.e., a tent further in the back away from the main road), especially with the price we paid for the tent. If I go back, I would definitely request a tent in the back because I do not enjoy waking up before 7am while on vacation.

We and friends stayed in three Deluxe tents. This was advertised as in the top ten Glamping (glamorous camping) sites in the U.S. We have "Glamped" before. Then there was an attendant for every few tents. Propane heat, hot and cold running water. A clean luxurious carpet and electricity. This was on the African Savanna!! Here at the Under Canvas deluxe tents we found - No electricity. A sink and shower that needed a handle held down to keep water running. It's hard to shower with one hand. A dirty floor with one fake deerskin. College students who were hard to find for help. But the worst was there no heat except for a small wood stove. It got down to 34 degrees each night. When windy outside all the smoke comes into the tents. We smelled like smoke for days. A new log needs to be put on every 45 mins. or the fire will go out. So you must choose between sleeping or freezing. Why do they have propane for hot water but no propane heaters? This doesn't make any sense. To be fair the bed was great and there is a good restaurant within walking distance. A premium price was paid for a Glamping experience that was not delivered. This was barely more than regular camping.
