The staff is friendly and they make an effort to assist when they can. Our room was VERY dated, with worn carpet, AC that did not work to cool the room, but just blew the fan instead, and the toilet ran and the sink dripped constantly. Oddly, the refrigerator was stacked on top of the dresser with the microwave on top of it - blocking the mirror. Furnishing are not universal, as one of our rooms had a microwave and the other did not. One had a couch and the other had a recliner and ottoman, but they were the same room types. There were VERY little places to plug in cord for charging and they were inconveniently located; none were next to the bed - one was behind the bed, but the mattress needed to be moved to get to it. Finally, the phone was not plugged in and when it was, there was no dial tone - you better bring your cell phone.

It's a fantastic hotel!!! There are almost no roaches. The rats are manageable, just let them do their thing and they won't bite you too hard. The mattress is very comfy but be careful with the used needles. I've stayed there a couple of times and I've found only one OD'd hooker in the bathtub. The staff was very understanding and allowed me to stay in spite the fact that I have perfect dendition. A+++

Response from Lamplighter North, General Manager at Lamplighter Inn & Suites North
Responded 25 Jan 2021
Sinat2021 We appreciate your feedback of our property, and apologize for the less than perfect stay that you may have experienced. Unfortunately, tubs do tend to clogin hotels, and when we are notified about the issue, we are able to quickly get it resolved. As for the blood in the carpet, after further investigation into the claim, we were able to determine that it is hair dye instead of blood. A fee was charged to those that caused the damage to the carpet, and we are waiting for the new carpet to arrive for that room. We do take all reports seriously, and again, we appreciate you review. If you have any further concerns, feel free to give us a call.

I had to come to Springfield on a business Job offer. A guy name Michael did everything in his power to help me get my credit card processing issues handled, printing out my resume. Let's just say he worked his butt off helping me. It meant so much to me and my wife. So "Thanks" to the Staff. I'll be back in Springfield next week and that's where I'll be staying. 5 stars because of the staff.
