THE PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
++ Casablanca its basically divided in two:
- ONE: The private main house.
- SECOND: The suites.
THE PRIVATE MAIN HOUSE:
Yes, its private and only for you... Its right at the beach and it can hold up to 10 in your group; if you travel with more people, then you should consider using some of the suites as well... It has 3 large bedrooms and 2 small ones within, a big terrace BBQ and pool, very large kitchen and livingroom; in the pictures you will be able to look at a layout for better understanding...
We have 3 kind of suites (( A, B and C )) in the same property as the main house both are front beach... With another very large pool and roof terrace with BBQ place and Jacuzzi; the suites are perfect for a romantic vacation or traveling with friends and family. Each Suite has a full kitchen, terrace, Tv, and the bedroom/s. In every bedroom we have air conditioning... PLEASE look at the suites layout for better understanding...
ABOUT CASABLANCA IN GENERAL:
We have a Front Desk, and reception with english spoken manager during office hours, and free maid service every day; also we have a living here handyman, that its "available" 24hr in case anything urgent or late check-in.
We have free ice for every guest, and clean beach towels everyday.
Good WiFi coverage even at the beach and at a good speed.
Both of our pools are heated.
Many channels in every tv.
Free Coffee and coffee maker in every kitchen.
Parking lot for up to twelve cars.
Night guard on sight.
Small Safe in every bedroom.
Credit Card or cash accepted.
We place everyday BIG umbrellas and camastros at the beach from 8am until after sunset.
And many other things for you to find out on your next visit!! (Remember, we are always improving)
We don't have onsite restaurant or bar, because we consider that we are located at a good walking distance from everything at Sayulita, and Sayulita has many very nice restaurants and fun bar's.

I would love to give them a higher rating because there are so many things that I love about the hotel...but they had horrible internet. We often had NO service in our room. They tried to make it better, which was nice, but ultimately their solution was for us to come down to the front desk area to use the internet. We actually did that to take our online Covid-19 test, but still lost internet 2 times and lost one of the test completely because of the broken connection and almost lost another one. The rooms are clean and nice. Air conditioning only in the bedroom but in February that was fine. Heated pool and hot tub on the roof was nice too. The location on the beach can't be beat. Far enough out of town to be away from the crowded beach, but close enough to walk to anything.
I had a month long holiday booked here 8 months in advance. My son loves to surf and I love the beach so I rented the penthouse for the first two weeks and the main house for the last two. Anyhow, due to COVID which the owner Octavio kept denying was indeed in Sayulita bc my sons surf camp closed one week into our trip bc a group of 9 people from Vail, CO brought the virus to this town. The surf camp did not want the liability and promised me a refund for the days unused and all restaurants were closed but we only went out two nights bc we were too scared. I also received a refund from the golf cart company for this bc we had to turn it in 10 days into the trip. Octavio definitely knew about COVID being in the town bc our last 4 days while in the penthouse which was about 10 flights of steps upstairs, we could smell a strong odor of bleach. It's a very small hotel so we made friends with several of the guests that were staying right by the pool. Apparently, he was having his staff bleach the pool and all around it daily. That could have killed anyone that would have gone swimming. Luckily, we all knew not to swim and etc. Anyhow, the borders were being closed in Canada and the States so everyone was rushing to find flights home. Ours got cxld several times which was annoying bc we could not enjoy our trip. There were also many things wrong with the room, the bathrooms smelled of sewage and most appliances did not work. The curtain rods also fell down on my head along with my 6 yo child and his godmother that was also on the trip with us. Needless to say the world is facing a global crisis with COVID and by Mexican law the owner is required to give me a refund. Instead he said he would give me a two week credit off season in the main house. Meanwhile I paid for the high season and this is truly unacceptable. I do not want to revisit Sayulita because of our experience at the property. The hotel also convinces people to take a car service that they own for 180-200 use to and from the airport. A regular car service is only 40.00 usd. All of my other friends that had to leave various parts of Mexico or anywhere in the world for that matter received a full refund. The owner should indeed issue a refund which is around 15,000.00 USD. I have a friend that is an attorney there even call Octavio to discuss and he hung up on her within 30 seconds. She will be reporting him if I do not receive a refund within the next 10 days. It's completely unacceptable and illegal. Oh, the beaches also closed the morning we were lucky enough to fly out! Yet, he still claims he is fully occupied and there is nothing to worry about. He claims it was our choice to leave which it wasn't!!!! This is a Pandemic and I deserve a refund immediately. The employees of the hotel were all wearing masks the day we left but he still claims there is not and never was an issue!…
This is small hotel, very simple rooms and not bright like the photos but it has all the amenities that you would want from a basic hotel including a very clean pool - it was too warm when we arrived but they turned the temperature down then it was great, beach access, close walk to town and quiet . If you are searching for views of the beach this is not your place but the views of the courtyard and pool are nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean but certainly not updated but we had a comfortable stay. We had a problem with the air conditioner which took them 2 days to fix and got stuck with a view of the parking lot but now I know which rooms we would want to be in would definitely stay there again.
The website and photos are deceiving unless you book an upper room, penthouse or Front House. We were booked into a ground floor room and it was dark and damp with very little natural light. The kitchen was well stocked but lots of things in the bedroom and bathroom were broken and bedding and sheets frayed and worn. Beach lounge chairs were stained and dirty. It would be helpful to price and promote ground level or garden view suites vs ocean views as they are very different experiences and I would have been very disappointed if we had booked longer than 2 nights. It was definitely a quieter hotel at the end of the beach and people staying there were very friendly.
We stayed here 6 nights. The rooms are NOT bright and airy as the photos depict. There may be 1 or 2 rooms like the photos. The rest are dark and damp, nothing will dry. The few good rooms are booked far in advance by return guests. The kitchens do not have full sized refrigerators. Some of the mini fridges have mini “freezers” which is a shelf at the top of the fridge. There a lot of mosquitoes or noseeums here. I had dozens of bites after the first night. Apply bug spray as soon as you arrive. We also encountered giant roaches. The living room/kitchen area is open air with just screens. There are no hard windows or doors to close. So there is a lack of privacy if there are loud guests. This is especially terrible because when others guests smoke your entire room will fill with smoke and there is no way to close it out. An open air hotel of this design should be non-smoking since there is no way to escape it. The shower heads are horrible, low pressure, spray everywhere. The photos show 2 pools, one of them being ocean front. This beach front pool is NOT for use by the hotel guests. This pool and those lounge chairs you see in the photos are for the exclusive use of the rental house on the beach. The hotel rooms are in the back of the property behind the big rental house. There are about 10-12 lounge chairs on the sand below for hotel guests, but it can be impossible to get one on any given day because there are not enough. Sitting below the rental house can be bothersome because it is rented to large groups (from Saturday to Saturday) that can be very loud and smoking cigarettes right above you. The pool that is for hotel guest use is shaded most of the day by the tall guest room buildings. It was heated. More than a warm pool, less than a Jacuzzi. The rooftop Jacuzzi was broken and drained during our entire stay. The house keeping is inconsistent and sloppy. Dead bugs smashed on the walls by previous guests were not cleaned off. It doesn't seem to matter how much you leave for a tip each day. I had to go to the front desk daily for missing towels, giant puddles, broken microwave, etc. Faby is not a friendly front desk employee. She always seemed bothered when I came to her for help. She got mad at me for not returning beach towels to her directly. She said that the housekeeping staff steals them so it is important to return them directly to the front desk and not leave them in your room. She acted like she was going to withhold my deposit. She told me that I was informed of this when I checked in. The problem is that I was checked in my a woman that spoke zero English and we fumbled through the check in process using google translate. Faby is unfriendly, unprofessional and doesn't seem to enjoy working in hospitality industry. On the upside, this is a perfect location. Nelson, the night security guard is so nice and friendly. Same with the day time maintenance man. The hotel has mini bags of ice for free. And there is drinking water available in 5 gallon dispensers. Some of the room have them inside and some of them have them outside the front door, shared between two rooms. We paid about $170 per night during high season. The value isn't there for me to return here unless some improvements are made.…
