Detailed Reviews
This is a beautiful hotel. However, the front desk staff seems to be somewhat standoffish. They didn’t make you feel welcome. The room itself was elegant, roomy, comfortable, but we found several empty beer cans inside the dresser and night stand. We moved one of the chairs to make room to do something and discovered quite a bit of trash and bottle caps. The rest of the hotel seemed nice and clean except for the pool. The pool was extremely hazy, not crystal clear like you would expect at a hotel like this. But then neither was the room. Last but not least, the front entrance - They designated both sides of the front entrance as smoking areas so every time you entered or exited the hotel, you were drowning in cigarette smoke, which also followed into the atrium. This hotel has the potential to be fantastic. Management needs to put their employees through courtesy training.
I’d give the building a 5 for its ambiance and roominess, but a 1 for its cleanliness and staff’s attitude.

Upscale hotel but missed the mark on the basics. Beautiful facility and room. We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful gym. We missed a microwave in the room and the single one located in the lobby was laughable, security wouldn’t allow pizza delivery to our room, the ice machine on the 4th floor was broken, and lastly the parking was ridiculous. Cramped parking that was so far from the entrance which cost an additional $10 a night. I should have taken away more stars. A person practically needed a shuttle to get to the entrance. Overall, I’d stay again but only if I had alternate transportation to and from the hotel.

After a full day of travel we were excited to finally get to the Crowne Plaza at the St. Louis Airport.
The Front Desk staff was pleasant. They were obviously new to the job but they got us checked in with a smile.
The room was great and offered everything you could want, a microwave, coffee pot, ref., a great comfortable bed, and big clean bathroom.
The hotel also offers a large indoor pool and parking.
After a long day we were all anxious for a cocktail and a good meal. ALL restaurants were closed. We could order food from a limited menu at the bar but they were not serving liquor.
There are no eateries within walking distance. Very disappointing.
We understand the issue is staffing. Like many places they just cannot find staff.
Sounds like HR needs to up their game.

I’ve stayed here a few times and never been disappointed with anything. Free safe parking. Self serve self pay snacks so you don’t have to wait in line. Great rooms. They have a shuttle to the airport if you need it. I like it, you will too. 5 stars.

Stayed here over the Christmas holiday, the hotel lobby was very clean and everything looked inviting so I had no complaints initially with the choice. We needed to make a slight adjustment to the the reservation upon checking in and the front desk clerk was was very accommodating and helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool area looks very nice and it was great that the parking was free. My issue may seem small to some but irked me and turned me off on the hotel all together. We were attending a event the next day so I took out the blouse that I was planning to wear and hung it in the closet so that it would not get wrinkled. When we checked in we changed our reservation from 4 days to 2 days and decided to stay closer to the event so we checked out two days earlier than originally planned. The next morning I realized I had left the blouse for the event hanging in the closet after checking out so I called the hotel to see if I could come by and pick it up before the event. Housekeeping tells me that the housekeeper said there was nothing in the closet. Really? I was pretty certain that I left it in the closet. I told the housekeeping supervisor I know for sure I ironed the blouse and hung it in the closet. So then she says she has to question the housekeeper and get to the bottom of this and call me back. When she calls me back now she says that the housekeeper said that the room was already cleared when she got there and that she would have to speak to the laundry guy who does not come in until Monday and she would call me then. My flight left on Sunday and I had no blouse to wear to the event. Bottom line is if I can’t trust a hotel to turn a simple blouse into lost and found less than 24 hours after a guest departs how can I trust them when I leave out for the day and leave real valuables in the room. I left a message for hotel management and never got a call back. I travel a lot and I’ll take the hit because I left the blouse in the closet and that was my fault, but I was very disappointed in my experience as I would think that this is a routine occurrence that should have been handled much better. I would recommend the hotel based on the accommodations and the front desk staff but based on my experience I won’t be staying there again.

I am sad to report this Crowne Plaza is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at in many years of business and leisure travel. I often stay at Crowne Plazas and other IHG hotels, rating them highly for service and cleanliness.
A previous reviewer stated it was a party hotel. It looked like there had been a big party going on for a long while. The public spaces were so dirty I could not believe these areas had been cleaned recently. The steps to the lower level had glitter, confetti, and dirt that could not have accumulated in a day or two.
When I checked in and got to my room i could see an unmade bed so I went back to front desk to get another room. The first thing I do in any room is check the bed to be sure it has fresh clean bed linens and is bedbug free. It was fine.
Then I noticed the floor had not been vacuumed or not well enough to pick up scraps of paper and a twist tie.
I stepped into the bath room and the floor looked like it had muddy footprints on it. No sanitizer or cleaner had been provided. I thought about asking for another room but didn't think I would get anything better. The check in clerk was also bartending and I just didn't want to go back a third time.
I used my own sanitizer spray and many tissues to clean the part of the bathroom floor I would walk on, which really was dirtier than I thought.
There was no indication this hotel or this room had been cleaned to match expected standards and certainly not for Covid 19.
After cleaning the bathroom floor I used the rest of my sanitizer spray to wipe down every area I needed to touch.
The bed was freshly made and comfortable so I did get a good night's sleep
The next morning I went to the lobby and breakfast area and could see nothing had changed and really looked worse in daylight.
I thought about talking to front desk clerk or asking for manager but thought this hotel is a disgrace for the Crowne Plaza name. So, I called to report the conditions to the corporate customer service number. The rep listened carefully to my concerns. I was asked to remain on hold while she made direct contact with the hotel. In a few minutes she told me she had discussed the situation with Jessica, the manager on duty, and that Jessica would call me in 10 minutes. That did not happen.
Two days later I received an email from Travis, the manager of the hotel, stating he would like to talk to me about my concerns. I replied with my phone number and said he could call anytime. I never heard from him again.
These actions reinforce my belief that this Crowne Plaza is very poorly managed. The standards of cleanliness and customer service are far below what I have come to expect from years of staying at Crowne Plazas.
I would never return to this hotel.
I have just returned from an international business trip but plan to call the corporate customer service tomorrow to let them no there was no follow up over my concerns.

when making reservation told them husband was in wheelchair and requested handicapped room. Walk-in shower had NO grip bars. Toilet hand NO grip bars and was so low to the floor almost fell on going down. In 5 days never saw housekeeping. The hotel itself is fine, nothing special. We chose this location for convenience of a shuttle to/from the airport. Don’t try on this at ANY cost. When trying to depart, we waited outside the hotel at 4:20 am for nearly an hour to catch the shuttle, nearly missing our flight. Since no one was working the front desk, at least the customer service rep was willing to call the shuttle driver to get an update. However, the customer service rep working the afternoon of Jan 10 should be fired immediately. I called twice after waiting in 30 degree temps with three kids and she cut me off multiple times while trying to talk with her, nearly yelling that the shuttle runs 24 hours and that he would be there when he gets there. Absolutely awful. We’re still standing outside as I type this and shuttles for other hotels have come through 2-3 times in this time frame. Next time I’ll choose them.

BEWARE, DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a 2 night at this hotel, passing though town on work. I work through my computer and this was suppose to be a business hotel with wifi to suit my needs. The first night I spent around 2-3 hours with the front desk and help desk because their wifi was not broadcasting and when my devices were able to see it, was not able to connect. It took them over a hour to figure out how to get their wifi working. Then I was able to connect and Im at over 1500 ms lag constantly. Hotspoting on my phone is better then this wifi. Realizing that I would be unable to work with these accommodations I requested to check out early and go somewhere else, however they stated they would be unable to return my money for the room and would have to pay for it regardless. On top of this ridiculousness they charge 20 bucks for their breakfast buffet and 10 dollars a day just to park. Total Rip off, honestly a motel 8 is better then this place.

Have stayed here before and like everything BUT airport transfers. Had at least three bad experiences getting picked up at the airport. Room was good, service was good.
Finally a great experience with going to and from airport thanks to our driver Steven.
Steven was more than helpful and great to talk to. He went out of his way to make everything easy both ways and even waited while we wondered around airport due to construction and lack good directions or signage. Thanks Steven!!!!!!!

Make sure you ask if your parking is included. We used the stay and fly package.
There are balconies inside overlooking the pool/restaurant/lobby. I believe it was $5 more. Well worth the cost!
Hello John B,
Thank you for your inquiry concerning the Park N' Fly Package we offer... If you reserve this package, the $10 per day is waived for up to 14 days - a $140 value to keep your vehicle parked while you enjoy a vacation away for only staying one night here at the Crowne Plaza St. Louis Airport Hotel! Look forward to seeing you here soon! Thank you...
