Okay so I never got the opportunity to stay. Called in ahead of a stay just over a month in the future to give the resort a heads up that our son uses a trained service dog as defined by the ADA. "Taylor" told me regardless of whether it is a service dog or not there is a $100 cleaning fee. The excuse given was that they needed to clean the unit because of allergies. I understand people have allergies but we have stayed in many other resorts or hotels and have not been subjected to such discriminatory policies. "Taylor" said that the cleaning fee was a Westgate policy. I wil take him at his word that he is speaking on behalf of the entire chain. If that is the case then anyone reading this should give careful consideration to staying with this chain or locking themselves into a timeshare scheme with them. Fortunately Interval allowed me to cancel what was otherwise a nonrefundable stay when I explained why we would rather not stay at this resort.…
My family goes to Branson every year, and this is the only place we stay. You can find plenty of nice resorts in Branson. What sets Westgate Woods apart, even from all other resorts we've been to in other cities, is the activities staff-Johnny, LuAnne, Ida, and Andrew. It's great to see Joey I.L.O. helping with activities, too. There are enough crafts, snacks, and events on property that you wouldn't ever have to leave. But being in Branson, there is a lot of entertainment in the city, and Johnny is the best connection for finding the lowest ticket prices. I recommend going to the Extravaganza. You get a fun sampling of the local shows, and odds are you might win a discounted or free ticket to one of them. Thank you, Johnny and team! We'll see you again next year.
There was trash in the bathroom, old food under the bed, full of flies, our feet & socks were black from the dirty floor, the parking lot was like one big ash tray with so many cigarette butts, the whole building smelled like cigarettes or marijuana, a family was above us that way over booked the room with too many people at least they checked out today, the safe does not work. Marsha the manager only offered another room in the same building of equal or lesser size even after I showed her all the pictures. I would just cut our losses & leave but we have tickets for a show in town tonight.
Johnny is the most amazing activity director. LuAnne, Ida, and Andrew also helped make our stay more enjoyable. Joey I.L.O is also a lot of fun as well (as the Westgate local on-site comedian). We really enjoyed the Extravaganza event where local performers provide a small clip of their shows in the area. We look forward to coming back each year!
Had a great vacation in Branson! Very accommodating resort with fun activities. They have a great activity director, Johnny. He had great show and restaurant recommendations for us that really made the trip! Highly recommend going to Johnny for activity ideas, he knows what he’s talking about!
We stayed here as part of a deal I saw online. The place was amazing! We had a 1 bedroom villa and it was great! The room was spacious, new and updated. The bed was so comfortable and the shower so relaxing after many hot days out on the strip! The pool was excellent and even had a movie playing one night that the kids loved. I stayed here as part of a deal and had to attend a time share presentation for 2 hours but it was totally worth it!!! They give ya the song and dance but after politely telling them it wasn’t in our budget we left after the 90mins and enjoyed the rest of our vacation! I would highly recommend staying here! Staff was nice , place was clean with lots to do!
What a great visit! Johnny Lonestar was a big part of our awesome get away, so much so that we had to include him in our Branson scrapbook. Thanks for many great memories. The resort was beautiful, clean, and lots of fun things to do!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Our unit was clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was a temperature that was warm enough to be enjoyed several days when we were there. The check in process and the front desk building went smoothly with friendly staff. Thank you to Tim, the security supervisor, for helping me get my lost shoes mailed back to my home in a timely manner. We would enjoy returning there some day. The location is beautiful and very close to attractions. If I could offer any suggestion to this place: the luggage carts could be replaced. The grounds by the elevator inside and outside could use some cleaning up.
The resort is beautiful and all of the staff are hardworking friendly people. Johnny, the Activities Director, and a local talent. Was very helpful and put together a fantastic show giving us a great blend of some of the talented people in Branson.
Johnny is great very friendly made us feel welcome. Being our first time to Branson he gave us lots of tips and helped us find what we wanted to do. We joined the excursion he arranged and it was a great time and a great value ! Lone Ranger and Tonto make a great team. Go see them at the activities center they will make you feel right at home.
