Welcome to Autumn Creek Branson! Maintaining the same high standards under new owners. Clean rooms, clear pool, quiet surroundings, and comfortable, updated rooms. Read the reviews and then come see for yourself.
Just spent one night but will definitely book a room there next time in Branson. Clean, quiet, and the friendliest owners ever. We were very impressed with the way we were treated from arrival to departure.
We love this place. It is super clean and the owners, Bob and Carol are very friendly. The hotel is off the beaten path but easily accessible to anything you want to do in Branson. Also, reasonably priced. We recommend it to all of our friends. It is a pleasure to stay there.
Excellent hidden gem of a place! The owners are wonderful. It's like walking into grandma and grandpas place. They make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. They were knowledgeable of the area and gave recommendations as well. The rooms are very clean and we were pleasantly surprised on how many towels were in the room to use, as well as extra blankets. The pool was open and well maintained as well as the overall property. It was a wonderful stay!
Love this place. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was interesting to see several guests having a morning cup off coffee and a few donuts while chatting away with the owners. The room was great and very clean. The pool was perfect for an evening swim. Next time we are in Branson, The Old Southern Inn will be our first inquiry.
The Old Southern Inn is a holdout from a bygone era. A small property of about 30 rooms meticulously maintained by a couple who lives onsite. The majority of their business is from repeat guests, many of whom have been staying for years or even decades. On just my second visit I felt welcomed back like family. It’s obvious owners Joe and Carol love what they do and care for the property like their own home. You won’t find any cleanliness issues or maintenance problems here. It’s a bit like going to visit your grandparents and staying in their guest room. The location is also one of the best in the area for Silver Dollar City. Just make sure you know what you’re buying: -Check in stops at 8:00pm, presumably because that’s when the owners stop working and relax before going to bed. It would be nice if they could come up with an after hours check in solution (like a lockbox or something) as this would allow me to stay more often. But know that if you’re arriving after 8 this hotel will not work for your needs. -The decor is dated, but that’s part of the charm. This is the *Old* Southern Inn after all. You won’t find anything run down or broken. -The amenities are a little limited. Just coffee and donuts for breakfast. Also, be sure to get in any requests you may have before 8pm. They’re still available for emergencies later at night, but you don’t want to wake the owners up because you forgot to ask for more towels. The upsides far outweigh any of these cons in my opinion. It’s really fun partaking in the old fashioned hospitality Joe and Carol offer. The rooms, while dated, are maintained and cleaned with a level of pride you rarely see in this industry. The whole property (including the outdoor pool) is immaculately kept. There’s loads of charm and character that you’ll never find in a modern chain hotel. So if you find yourself in Branson and just need a good shower and a comfy bed, this is your place. There’s even a good chance you’ll turn into another one of their regulars. …
I've stayed here a couple times now, and I found the accommodations to be great both times. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, the grounds are well-kept, and the beds are plenty comfortable. I also found the shower to have pretty nice water pressure. The location is also ideal if you are only doing Silver Dollar City, or if you just want to be away from the hustle and bustle (read: traffic) of Branson. The owners are also extremely nice people and treat you the way you'd like your family to treat you! They also don't allow smoking anywhere on the hotel grounds- this could be a pro or a con depending on who you are, of course, but I see it as a pro since you don't need to worry about your room smelling like cigarette smoke (a problem at many exterior corridor hotels). In terms of extra amenities, I would say they offer pretty much the bare minimum you'd expect out of a hotel. The "breakfast" is limited to in-room coffee and a few snacks in the lobby, and the room decor probably resembles your grandmother's house. Some might see these things as drawbacks... and I suppose that's understandable in that these criticisms aren't factually wrong. If modern decor, a free hot breakfast, and paying $150 per night are requirements for you, this isn't the place for you; the local Hampton/Fairfield Inn checks all three of those boxes. But for $65, you get a room that nails the basics... tough to beat that, if you ask me…
We stay here every time we go to Branson. Very convenient location. The rooms are always clean and the owners are friendly and treat you like family. Just down the road from Silver Dollar City. Located in the country away from the crowds
In all my travels I have never been to a more immaculate motel. The owners are so very friendly and helpful! Motel is off the beaten path, which is more desirable for my family. Motel is for sale, certainly hope the new owners offer the same excellent experience as the current owners provide. The only motel in Branson I will ever stay.
We stayed one night. The owners are super sweet and down to earth. Rooms were very clean. The beds, oh wow, the beds were so comfortable. I am a picky person about mattress, it was awesome, soft but firm mattress. I will be back.
