We went for one night with our 6 and 4 year old. The kids loved the bunk beds in the room. The waterpark was just ok. The outdoor area is super small. The go-karts were fun, mini golf was fun. We were there for one night and honestly, maybe I'm in the minority on this one, but I can't imagine staying any longer. It's fun to see- we had some good laughs, but it was nothing impressive and I would have rather spend my money somewhere else. In fact, we left and went to Big Cedar for 2 nights. We won't be returning. It's truly a motel with a pretty small waterpark. I thought the lobby was really dirty. Our room was shockingly pretty clean though, so that was good! But in all, I was glad to leave!

Waterpark was great for kids. Indoor water was a nice temperature. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong with it either. Not much to do for adults. Food was closed during off season, which was annoying. Lockers $0.50 quarter feed.

This show is one awesome show. They have a great band and there singers and song are top notch. They love each other as well as loving their audience. They have a country show in the evening and it is great as well.

This is a really cool place, you have the old time decor, a miniature golf course that has thunderstorms, and the best blueberry muffins I’ve ever had! I wish that they sold them by the dozen or half dozen. Everything is fresh made and the staff is amazing! Brenda and Rynthia will keep you smiling while keeping you coffee cup full.

The water park was fun for the kids but the other indoor pool was dated and the chemical smell was horrible.the hot tubs in both the water park and indoor pool area were basic, uncomfortable and the chemical smell overwhelming. The rooms were dated. Nothing fancy but clean. Staff at front desk was polite and helpful. The Grand Buffet was good. A wider selection would have been nice but staff was great! The indoor putt putt was crowded trying to fit 36 holes in a such small area. The arcade staff was not friendly at all and seemed bothered we were there. Did not bother with go carts or laser tag due to staff.

Grand country has a lot of different areas to review. Hotel - Check in was easy, got there super late, and they were even nice enough to do a courtesy call to make sure we were still planning on coming. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was always friendly, from check-in , housekeeping, servers, arcade employees, and putt putt attendant, we didn't encounter any problems! If we had a need it was quickly met, since we had to take our room towels to the indoor pool, we always needed more - they would be delivered within minutes. The layout isn't ideal, especially in colder weather. Our building was beside the outdoor pool, furthest from the waterpark and a ways from the indoor pool. If we wanted to swim we knew that we would freeze leaving. A tunnel between the buildings would be nice. The laundry facilities are located in the same building as the indoor pool which was convenient - you could swim while waiting for your laundry to finish, Waterpark - Ideal for younger kids, our 14 year old's were not interested. They preferred the regular indoor pool. That being said they are doing an addition that will include more slides and a wave pool, so this will help make it more entertaining for older kids. Value - we booked here for the waterpark, which our kids didn't use. Thankfully they had a spring break incentive that ended up making the cost of our stay worth it. $20 in game cards, 2 free large pizzas, 2 free shows, unlimited coffee and tea, a round of putt putt, and a round of go carts was included. Arcade was fun, pizza was good, the drinks were a nice addition, but unfortunately we didn't make it to any of the shows. We would stay here again, but would ask for building 2, and not figure the water park into the cost, at least until the new part is done!

Room Tip: Building #2 - closest to the indoor pool, in between the water park and outdoor pool.

There’s some good things going for this resort. I’m sure you already know those things which is why you’re looking at it. Let me tell you some not awesome things: -check in line takes 60-90 minutes. It’s awful. It was angering and a terrible way to start a vacation. Don’t plan on swimming or actually doing anything your first day. -from 3 pm to 7 pm, front desk staff is totally unavailable. Even other employees cannot reach the front desk for assistance. -We had a clubhouse room. It was alright- and clean. Bathrooms were really small- like REALLY small. -There’s no real parking for the water park- you gotta walk all the way there. -Waterpark: water in the play area was too cold for my kids to want to play in it. This was a big disappointment. They just wanted to swim in a normal pool. -The hotel has a separate indoor pool- AND IT WAS FREEEEEEEZING. No towels provided at this pool. -Shows and buffet were good. Fun area was good. Pizza was good but very greasy- felt sick. All in all we would have enjoyed a Holiday Inn Express more.

There are many wonderful things about Grand Country Resort. There is plenty of entertainment for the entire family. Our entire family, ages 6-65, enjoyed both shows we attended. The indoor go-carts were also a big hit. There are 3 mini golf courses. (2 of which are indoors). There are also a plethora of arcade games. We experienced the shortest wait time in the arcade prior to lunch. After lunch and into the evening it is packed. Of course the water park was the highlight for our grandchildren. They spent hours sliding, hot-tubbing, and enjoying the lazy river. I would say the only down-side is the check-in process. It takes a LONG time and is not efficient at all. When I was trying to check in our family I waited in line well over 60 minutes. There were at least 2 dozen other families in line at the same time, with only 4 windows available for check-in. On top of all of that, the computers went down while I was waiting in line. Unfortunately, no one from the resort stepped out into the lobby to inform all of the guests about the conundrum. Instead we had to learn about the difficulty through patrons that were waiting at the check-in windows. So as a word to the wise, send your family off to do something fun while you are waiting in line. It's going to be awhile!

The water park would have been great for little kids. My 13 year old was not impressed with the slides at all. They were not fast. Lazy river and basketball was good but we didn’t last at the water park all that long. The other activities all were costly, we did the spring break deal so that helped. Go carts didn’t go that fast they control your speed and we had a stupid girl who kept causing recks so our cars kept getting stopped. The put put inside was meant for little kids. Laser tag was awesome it was a good size arena. The rooms were clean but there was no sound proofing so you heard everything. We had double queens room and it was a normal size general room but not any extra. The buffet was super expensive like $50 for the 2 of us. The meats were all dried out and not very tasty. There was a lot of options of mediocre food. The pizza in the fun place was like Chuck E. Cheese and super greasy. Would recommend for kids 8 and under.

Good overall. Did a water park day pass. Staff were all very friendly and the water park is good for kids for a day. Some water was really warm and some pretty cold. So kids might have hard time adjusting back and forth. Glad we went on a weekday. It would be too crowded on a weekend. Def would go back when the outside is open and new wave pool is done. Be alot more to do and fill up the day or two.
