This hotel was a little dated in the rooms. The cabinets and mirrors were updated. The fridge was old. There was an earbud on the floor from a previous tenant, which could have been seen by staff if the room would have been vacuumed all over. The bedding and towels were clean. The remote control was a little dirty. There was rust around the water sprinkler. There was hair under the shower mat that was hanging over the side of the tub so we didn’t use it. We had no hot water one morning but it was rectified quickly when we called the front desk. It was really warm in our room. We turned the air on and it did not work well. We were hot both nights. I would stay here again if everything was booked but it probably wouldn’t be my first choice again.
We stayed 5 days. I was really impressed with the manager Ronda she really wanted to make sure that everyone stay was a good experience. I spoke with her and at first I did not know she was the manager she was very friendly and helpful with information about Branson. The house keeping department does a excellent job on keeping the rooms clean they really take a lot of pride in keeping everything very clean. I seen a sign as I walked in to the Hotel lobby informing everyone that the property was going through a renovation the room we stayed in had been completely renovated everything in the bathroom was new and very modern . The beds in the room was very comfortable the pillowcases tell you if the pillow is soft or firm this information is embroidered on the pillowcases. One of the nights we stayed the weather got really bad and we could hear the sirens outside warning us of a tornado the staff member working the front desk I believe his name was Justin went to each floor and everyone room to let us know we need to come down to the lobby until the storm passed. He could have used the phone but took the time to go to each door and knocked to make sure that everyone knew what was going on. I was very impressed that he took the time to make sure that everyone was safe as we moved to the lobby I could see that a lot of the Guest were elderly Justin stayed in the lobby with everyone I could tell it really put the older Guest at ease they were really nervous until he joined us . Let me explain about the lobby part of it is under ground the pool is on the 2nd floor. The Hotel was built on the side of a mountain or really big hill. The breakfast was very good because of the COVID-19 you would call in your order and they would call you to pick it up when it was ready they were really fast at most 10 minutes . I really felt like the Hotel was doing everything they could to keep people safe with COVID-19 they had hand sanitizer every place that you walked in and on and off the elevator and in the elevator they let us know to put any trash out side of or doors to be pick up I didn’t see anything stay in the hallway very long the staff was really staying on top of keeping everything clean and safe. We will stay here again the next time we visit Brandon . …
Always stay here. Clean, friendly and consistent. Centrally located from shows, restaurants etc... Had a small "hiccup" on our last stay. It was handled almost immediately. What stood out was that we never felt like we were complaining or had to convince the manager. Rhonda went beyond expectations. I joked that a bag of M&Ms would have sufficed. We were met with an apology note AND a bag of M&M's in our room. Thank you! Jeff and Lisa
Have a very nice indoor pool and great breakfast. Much better than Hilton Hotels since COVID. Their service was great. We didn't have clean towels as requested and the front desk clerk brought them to us within 5 minutes. Service in the room is cut during this covid period unless requested so we just got clean towels.
I exclusively stay at Holiday Inn Express due to being able to use the government rate even when on personal travel. This is not the case at this location due to them being a "tourist destination". They did honor the rate for me this one time, but for future reference you have to be on government travel. This is the first time I have encountered this and I've stayed at many HIE hotels. This also happen to be the worst HIE I've stayed at, although it wasn't horrible. I've had much worse experiences. I believe the hotel is undergoing or maybe finished a remodel. The tile inside our room for the entry and bathroom was obviously new and there was paint from the walls on the top of the tile from a messy paint job. The bathroom mirrors have lights surrounding them giving a very well lit area. The extra sink outside the bathroom was nice and was across from the microwave/coffee/refrigerator which was also nice. However, the carpet was sticky. You didn't feel like you could get in the bed without using a rag to wipe your feet off first. There was numerous hairs on the bathroom and entry floor of various color and texture. A tangled wad of hair was behind the entry door and made it's way out into the room eventually. There was a very distinct, strong, and foul odor when you entered the room that you eventually acclimated to, but it hit you like a ton of bricks when you first entered. The comfort of the bed was ok, the pillows were very nice. The towels were very nice as well, however, we only got 3. There ended up not being any turn over service (likely covid related) and I had to go to the front desk to ask for more towels which took about 25 minutes in line. I reported the condition of the room, but we checked out the next day so there wasn't time for them to act, but uncertain if they would have since there was no turn over service. The free breakfast was the typical free breakfast you get at HIE. The employees served the hot items and the rest was self serve. There was no ice machine on our floor, but available on other floors. The indoor pool was large and spacious. The hot tub was nice and hot, but had so many bubbles in it they got in your mouth. There was a sauna available, but I did not try it as it was full of kids. Overall the pool area was nice. Parking was close and convenient. There weren't a lot of luggage carts available. Some of them were the small triangle shape. I was on the elevator when someone tried to get on with one and when the wheel hit the opening between the floor and elevator it caused everything to come crashing off the cart and their cooler spilled open with ice and glass bottled beer all over the elevator. When leaving, that was the only cart available and I was very careful when going over any threshold after witnessing the poor guy the day before. Elevators weren't terribly slow and there was 2 of them. The location was exceptional. Right off the strip, close to lots of stuff, but able to take the yellow route around the strip and get to major attractions around the area very quick. It's also right down a side road from the new Aquarium on the Boardwalk. Overall, the place wasn't horrible as I've stayed at much worse hotels in the past, but if I'm going to pay full rate I'm going to check around and consider other options. They may not have completed the renovation on this room, but in it's current state with the carpet and smell I will for sure consider other options in the future. This review didn't actually save last month when I wrote it, and I have since returned to Branson and stayed at a different hotel with an exceptional experience. The rate was $20/night more, but that was a popular weekend. Our last night was comparable to this hotel as it wasn't a high rate day. I will continue to stay at that other hotel for future Branson trips as we're season pass holders at SDC and White Water.…
Currently looking for a different chain for our travel needs. Highly disappointed with our stay for our 10 year anniversary. When we walked in our room, I could tell immediately it was only cleaned to the lowest standard. The tops of items were dusty, under the bed hadn’t been vacuumed in several visits (I’m assuming, it was dirty). There was a hair clip sitting on the floor directly under the AC. There is no grout around the jacuzzi (but there was hair from the last customers, as well as dusty) and it looks like the carpet needed cleaning. Then we get to the housekeeping while we were there. They made the bed 1 time during our stay (4 nights) the second day, all they did was replace the towels, and the third day, they knocked on our door at 10:15 a.m. asking if we needed any towels, and I had to specifically ask for extra toilet paper because they had no plans on coming in that day either. The lobby is dirty. They have a computer for the people staying in the hotel, and the back side of the computer is COVERED in dust, plainly in view, and not difficult to access. For close to $250 a night average, I can go to a higher end hotel, and get white glove service, unlike this chain which seems to be capitalizing on their track record of being a good chain, while allowing their customer service to go down the tubes with higher prices.…
I was disappointed to be placed in a room which should have been placed out of order for mold/mildew remediation. The front desk was unable to give me another room, they offered air freshener. I am sure I would have enjoyed my stay had it not been for this issue. The strong odor was eminating from the carpet between the beds. I suspect it had been wet from cleaning and not dried properly, or perhaps there was a leak. It was too late for me to drive to another location, the closest being an hour drive. This is an older but updated hotel. The room was clean except for the odor. They offered a full breakfast with multiple options. Unfortunately my plans for the day are ruined because of an asthma flare.
First trip to Branson was not great due to this hotel. My room was outdated, worn, and musty. The discolored popcorn ceiling and dirty carpet was just gross. The loud AC ran constantly. The shower was weird - high step in/up and short on headspace, would not fit anyone 6 ft. Housekeeping did not clean our room even though I left to give them access. I had to turn in our dirty towels and ask for clean and had to put our trash in the hall. My biggest frustration was with the technology. The TV was about 24 inch. There was no where to charge our phone and WiFi was horrible. It would not stay connected and signal was very weak in our room. Cell signal was also weak so it was impossible to browse or check in with work. I have always stated Holiday Inn but will not stay with them again.…
We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed this hotel. Good free breakfast. A ticket office in the lobby that worked with us to get discounted tickets and make suggestions for entertainment. Very clean, very quiet room in great condition. Wonderful staff who are friendly and eager to make our stay perfect.
My stay at this motel was so nice that I made sure to stay there on my next visit. My room was very clean and had comfortable beds, a refrigerator, microwave, and a bathtub. I parked right outside my door. The pool and hot tub and the dining room were clean.
