I came to Starkville for the NCAA regionals. I was leery of this place due to prior reviews and felt the need to post. The motel is nothing like the reviews: it's very nice and they didn't raise prices due to such a busy weekend. Very clean and friendly staff. Will come back again!
I paid $28.84 for Room "25"--a few doors down from the Johnny Cash room. No a/c. Ice machine in the lobby. Friendly clerks. Very close to the jail where Johnny Cash was held. Room was not very clean, bathroom was pretty bad. No showerhead on shower. It would be OK to rough it for a night...were it not for the bedbugs. I woke up covered with huge red bites...part of my shirt was soaked with blood where a group had congregated. Avoid this place at all costs...pay the money and stay at the Days Inn...
You will have drug addicts, low-lifes and noise at all hours. Room had exposed wires, filthy bathroom and its just plain falling apart. The staff are rude, vulgar and unfriendly. There's a reason this motel is so cheap! BEWARE!!
There were dead bugs on the pillows, the sheets, and the bed. The bathroom was dirty, you can tell nobody cleaned the bathroom in weeks. The bathroom smells like mold, there is also mold on the walls and the ceilling. The sink, the mirror, and the soap holders were chipped, and dirty. The walls need repainting, the room smelled like an old building, which needs to be tore down and rebuilt. Also they ran out of TOWELS and the floors were dirty the whole place is just unsanitized, and infected with BEG BUGS!!! This Motel is PATHETIC!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!!!
theres bugs mold and more at no additonal cost lol
